81 Countdown to Heaven
“W-We have no grudges nor enmity with each other, so why don’t you let me leave?” Shaoxing Ming pleaded for his life.
“I won’t speak a word about this to anyone. I can even make an oath if you don’t believe me.” He added.
The more Shaoxing Ming pleaded for his life, the more irritated Qi Shan got.
She had never seen such a spineless man before.
While Qi Shan became distracted and wondered about her next plan, Shaoxing Ming secretly activated a talisman.
‘Hmph, just you wait for it, bitch. Once my master arrived, I’ll fucking torture you to death.’ He thought.
The talisman blinked a few times before a light signal was fired above the sky.
The light signal then exploded in a firework-like manner.
Qi Shan glanced at the explosion with a dazed expression.
“What is that?” She calmly asked him, almost like she didn’t care what the explosion was used for.
“It’s your doom, bitch.” Shaoxing Ming spat..
“My master would arrive within a few seconds of the signal, and you have forced my hand to use it. I can only use it once, but rest assured, I’ll make sure to torture you real good.” He added.
Qi Shan nodded her head.
“I see, your master is courting death, right?” She said, giving out a silly smile.
“I’m pretty sure I got that reference correctly right? You people always say those cliche and cringe lines such as ‘you’re courting death’ or ‘don’t you know who I am’ sort of stuff, right.”
Shaoxing Ming was stunned, almost like he couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
Was she really acting dumb?
Didn’t he just tell her his master is arriving, so why isn’t she frightened a bit?
“Do you really not know who I am?” He asked, proving the claim that Qi Shan had just made.
And it took a few minutes for Shaoxing Ming to realize this point.
“See, what did I say? You people are really hilarious. Do you not know any other vocabularies besides those few lines?” Qi Shan asked in humor.
“Haa I really pity you poor soul.”
Shaoxing Ming gnashed his teeth in anger, but soon, his expression was brightened up.
That was because he saw a mysterious-cloaked person appear from the sky.
“Master, I’m over here.” He stood up and started yelling aloud.
However, to his dismay, his master doesn’t seem to notice his presence.
“Master, your disciple is here!” Shaoxing Ming screamed on top of his lung, hoping that his master could hear him.
Despite his effort though, his master merely hovered around the sky for a few moments before flying away, shocking him thoroughly.
“W-Why did the Master just leave?” He was dumbfounded. The event was so shocking that he lost balance and plopped to the ground.
“Your master does not seem to be as formidable as you think, kiddo.” Qi Shan laughed.
Shaoxing Ming tilted his head to stare at Qi Shan.
“W-What did you do?” He asked stutteringly.
In his mind, there was no way his master would have left him. Thus, he had quickly figured that she must have done something.
“Hmm, I merely set up an illusion barrier around us.” Qi Shan shrugged her shoulders.
“Though the illusion barrier isn’t that high-level, so if your master was truly amazing, then he would have seen through it already. What a poor little kid, acting all haughty and arrogant, only to realize his master was nothing but a frog in a wall.”
‘An illusion barrier?’ Shaoxing Ming’s eyes start to wander around him.
He was trying to spot the illusion barrier, but couldn’t detect any abnormalities.
“You’re bluffing,” he started laughing and stood up, his head shaking left and right.
“Whatever, I don’t really care if you believe me or not.” Qi Shan could care less if he believed her or not.
After all, she was not here to persuade him or anything.
She was here to have some fun.
“Just why are you doing this to me? I never even met you in my life.” Shaoxing Ming said.
Suddenly, a chill went through his spine when he saw Qi Shan release an intense murderous aura.
Her killing intent was rising and caused Shaoxing Ming to panic for her sudden change.
He retreated slowly and swallowed some of his saliva. Sweat was trickling down his forehead, and onto his neck before dropping down on the soft soil.
Meanwhile, Qi Shan advanced forward and smiled, “Do you know a person called Jiang Ming?”
“J-Jiang Ming?” Shaoxing Ming raised an eyebrow when she brought his name up.
“What does that trash have anything to do with this?”
Slash!
As soon as Shaoxing Ming asked that question, one of his hands was quickly cut off by Qi Shan.
The action was extremely swift that blood only started splattering out after a few seconds.
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhh”
Shaoxing Ming screamed in agony, tears started dripping down. His right hand was laying in front of his eyes, detached from him.
“Isn’t it obvious by now? Jiang Ming wanted to deal with you personally, but I honestly don’t care about his agenda anymore. You simply ticked me off.” Qi Shan sneered and raised her leg up.
And with a kick, she sent Shaoxing Ming flying far away where he crashed upon numerous trees before coming to a stop.
Shaoxing Ming had no time to worry about the pain in his right hand.
Instead, he hurriedly got up and began running in the opposite direction of Qi Shan.
“H-How could that trash possibly afford to hire such a powerful cultivator to work for him?” Shaoxing Ming cursed.
While running away, he was wobbling from time to time, clearly unable to get a grip of himself.
“Fufu, let the countdown of heaven begin,” Qi Shan giggled softly, clearly amused by the struggling Shaoxing Ming.
Nothing was more fun than killing a distraught rat who still believed they had a chance of survival.
“10, 9, 8…”
“4, 3, 2…”
After she finished counting down by 10, Qi Shan stretched her arms slightly, looking extremely beautiful with her slender waist.
“Goodbye little rat,” she curled her lips upward.
