71 Never Mess With Me
A few minutes had gone by, and almost all the students had formed their own group of teams except for someone.
Jiang Ming was all alone in the corner.
The atmosphere was awkward since there hasn’t been a single student in the academy that would have zero friendship with others.
“Umm, do you not have anyone to team up with?” The principal, Lin Jingyun, asked in concern.
If it were any other students, Lin Jingyun wouldn’t really care whether they have a team or not.
However, Jiang Ming was different because he was his direct disciple, Yuan Chunhua’s student.
“The Guilong Forest is filled with magical beasts in the Spiritual Lord Realm and you’re only at the Spiritual Elementary Realm. If you were to explore alone, then I fear that you would only be seeking death.”
“Thank you for the warning, Principal Lin Jingyun. But you can already tell my situation isn’t exactly beautiful and I won’t even be able to trust my back with these students.” Jiang Ming shrugged his shoulders.
Normally, Jiang Ming would disregard his useless warning without care, but because of Yuan Chunhua, he decided to give him a little bit of respect..
Being arrogant and confident is good but doing it every so often is just plain boring.
There was no need to act haughtily since the result of the examination would reveal everything.
Meanwhile, Lin Jingyun tried to think up a solution to help Jiang Ming find a team.
‘There had never been an incident where a student couldn’t get into a single team…’ he thought.
Sometime later, Yuan Chunhua decided to take a step forward and whispered something into Lin Jingyun’s ears.
Lin Jingyun’s brows were visibly wrinkled as he held a contemplating look while listening in to his direct disciple.
It was almost like Yuan Chunhua was requesting something difficult for Lin Jingyun as he tried to shake his head.
However, Yuan Chunhua continued to press onto the matter.
The students that had formed their own team were now curious as to what they were discussing, but they didn’t dare to perk their ears up to listen in, lest they’ll get reprimanded.
“Ugh, you really know how to make things difficult for me, don’t you, Xiao Chunhua?” Lin Jingyun rubbed his beard softly and lamented with a sigh.
“I know the master wouldn’t be so heartless as to decline his favorite disciple’s request, right?”
“You- fine, but this is only because of that person’s influence and authority.”
Yuan Chunhua held a bright smile when she finally convinced Lin Jingyun, and as for what she had convinced, even the students were eager to know.
Lin Jingyun understood their curiosity as well. He took a step forward and stared at Jiang Ming with a solemn expression.
“Due to special circumstances, I have decided to allow Instructor Yuan Chunhua to team up with Jiang Ming for the annual examination.” Lin Jingyun announced.
And before the students could shout their response for this situation, he shouted aloud, “Also, this is the final decision and anyone who wants to disagree with this decision can give themselves an F and leave the academy.”
Lin Jingyun exuded his mighty aura, causing the students to suffer a gravitational pressure. It was proof of his dominance and control of the decision of the academy.
Of course, Jiang Ming was clearly unaffected by the gravitational pressure.
With the Game Lord’s Cultivation System by his side, the gravitational pressure emitted from Lin Jingyun is irrelevant to him.
‘Just what the hell is going on here?’ Jiang Ming questioned silently. ‘Can’t we just start the damn annual examination already so I can go home and sleep?’
After a bit of commotion, the students could only reluctantly accept the arrangement made by Lin Jingyun.
None of them wanted to nor dared to get into the bad side of Lin Jingyun who could easily fail them on the spot.
Not to mention, the power and influence of Lin Jingyun was not something to joke around. One mishap and they could implement their entire clan to oblivion.
Meanwhile, Yuan Chunhua gracefully stepped down from the stage and walked toward Jiang Ming.
“What are you planning?” Jiang Ming quickly muttered at her once she was close enough to him.
“You are definitely not the type to do something personally, so what exactly are you scheming on?” he added.
There was no way Jiang Ming would believe Yuan Chunhua requested to partner up with him just so that she could ensure his safety.
They might be close acquaintances, but they weren’t close to the point where Yuan Chunhua would willingly assist him in the examination, let alone team up with him.
Yuan Chunhua held a mysterious smile as she shrugged her shoulders.
“You’ll know when the time is right.” She said, evoking irks upon Jiang Ming.
“I don’t want to team up with you. I would rather do a solo examination than to have someone with an ulterior motive.” Jiang Ming flat out said, hoping that she would choose someone else.
“I don’t care what you want nor what you think, Jiang Ming. This decision is made by the principal and if you don’t like it, then go ahead and fight him.”
“So be it, I’ll thrash him right now and drop out of the academy. Honestly, I don’t even need to rely on a dumb academy to be successful at this moment. I own the wealthiest store currently in the Central District, and I have a great connection with an alchemist.”
After that, Jiang Ming stripped off the academy uniform and began to walk away, shocking Yuan Chunhua to the core.
‘He can’t be serious about dropping out now, right?’ Yuan Chunhua was dumbfounded when she realized Jiang Ming really doesn’t have any intention of turning back.
“W-Wait a minute, Jiang Ming.” She called out.
Jiang Ming remained walking away, not even bothering to turn around to glance at her.
Yuan Chunhua gritted her teeth at his stubborn attitude.
“Fine, I’ll just tell you the reason!” She sent a mental transmission to him.
‘Heh, never mess with me.’ Jiang Ming curled his lips upward when she gave in.
