40 Blood Pill
Zhao Tong held a gawking expression at Bing Tong as he staggered backward.
“I-Is that true, little Bing Tong?” Zhao Tong asked.
“Of course not father, are you really going to believe a scoundrel over me?” Bing Tong snorted as she glared at Jiang Ming for accusing her.
Zhao Tong took a moment to regain his composure as he found it hard to believe his daughter would offer her body for no apparent reason.
She was pure, smart, and had a high standard when it comes to interacting with other men.
“Hmph, Jiang Ming, you cheeky brat. How dare you spout such nonsense and smear my lovely Bing Tong?” Zhao Tong cursed as he pointed at Jiang Ming.
Jiang Ming shrugged his shoulders.
“I was speaking nonsense yet you still believe me. Makes me wonder, are you really the emperor?” Jiang Ming teased as he walked over to the quiet Hong Ling and wrapped his hand around her shoulders.
Afterward, Jiang Ming secretly glanced at Bing Tong who was clearly annoyed from seeing his intimate action with Hong Ling.
“So when do you want the token of recognition?” Bing Tong said. “Do you want it today?”.
Jiang Ming pondered for a while before shaking his head.
“Please bring the token of recognition tomorrow and be sure to come in a glamorous dress.” Jiang Ming winked at Bing Tong, causing her to blush slightly.
Jiang Ming then bid farewell to them as he got a more important task to do.
“Wait, do you need a ride back home?” Bing Tong chased after as she suggested.
Bing Tong saw Jiang Ming was about to refuse her goodwill as she quickly added, “Our imperial house is far away from yours so it’s better to take the carriage if you are in such a rush.”
Jiang Ming grinned as he had just heard Bing Tong’s explanation. He halted his movement as he echoed Hong Ling to wait outside for him.
Hong Ling nodded as she went away whereas Jiang Ming walked toward Bing Tong as he placed a hand on her chin.
“W-What are you doing?” Bing Tong asked as she stared at Jiang Ming.
Jiang Ming smirked as he leaned closer and said, “I never said where my house is located so how did you know my house is far from the imperial house.”
“Aren’t you a bit naughty to spy on your lover already?” Jiang Ming teased as he kissed her on the lips.
It wasn’t a passionate one like they did back in the room as it was just a light peck.
Bing Tong had her eyes closed when Jiang Ming went for the kiss and before she knew it, Jiang Ming had already left the area.
“Damn it, I will get you back, Jiang Ming,” Bing Tong stomped the floor heavily as she rushed to her room, clearly enraged by Jiang Ming in leaving after taking advantage of her again.
Sometime later, Jiang Ming and Hong Ling boarded the carriage.
“I don’t think I need to tell you where my house is located, right?” Jiang Ming said to the driver.
The driver merely nodded his head as he pulled on the reins to make the horse start moving forward.
“How did the driver know where our house is located?” Hong Ling asked softly as she felt more comfortable after leaving the imperial house.
Jiang Ming smirked as he wrapped his hand around her waist.
“Are you seriously asking that question or just trying to strike up a conversation with me?” Jiang Ming teased.
He knew that Hong Ling had already guessed Bing Tong must have investigated them.
After all, there are no such things as coincidence where she would seemingly appear in Moon Bazaar and help Jiang Ming out of his predicament.
Hong Ling bit her lips gently as she nodded her head. “D-Do you like Bing Tong?”
Jiang Ming smiled in amusement as he answered, “Yes and no. It depends on how the future would go.”
Hong Ling seemed to feel a bit sour in her heart at Jiang Ming’s answer as she simply nodded and said, “I see then.”
“Are you jealous?”
“I wouldn’t dare to be jealous. I’m just a lowly maid.”
Jiang Ming chuckled softly at Hong Ling’s behavior. However, he wasn’t mad as this was what he wanted Hong Ling to be.
Not someone who would have to act cautiously around others but someone who can be themselves.
Jiang Ming knew if he hadn’t told Hong Ling to stop acting formally and seriously around him, then he was sure that Hong Ling would never show any jealousy.
“You don’t have to be jealous since it’s pretty obvious that I would eat you sooner or later,” Jiang Ming whispered softly as he pulled Hong Ling closer to him.
Hong Ling didn’t need to say anything as she leaned her head on Jiang Ming’s chest so that she felt safe and comfortable.
Her hands clutched onto his shirt as she closed her eyes. Jiang Ming simply patted her head slowly while his focus changed.
‘Open System Store,’ Jiang Ming said inwardly but was surprised when there was a whole menu and interfaces for him to click instead.
There was also a giant symbol labeled, Game Lord’s Cultivation System on the top, and Jiang Ming was awestruck by this new change of the system display.
Ding!
<Game Lord’s Cultivation System is not your average system. Everything has been upgraded where Player Jiang Ming can interact with it like in Cultivation Omega>
<Game Lord’s Cultivation System held data that Jiang Ming had experienced in the virtual game, Cultivation Omega>

Jiang Ming was dumbfounded when a menu was available with his character status display and other categories such as alchemy, inventory, money, etc.
Jiang Ming swallowed nervously as he clicked on the ‘alchemy’ and the menu started changing and showed many alchemy pills and the ingredients needed to refine one.
Slowly, Jiang Ming tried to scroll through the massive list of alchemy pills as he found the one he needed, Blood Pill.
Jiang Ming clicked on the Blood Pill and the description soon appeared.
