225 Mythical Being
Yuan Chunhua felt like she was thrown into a hot boiling pot. Her face was burning red when she heard Jiang Ming’s declaration.
“Stop speaking so much nonsense,” She pouted slightly and pushed him away, clearly embarrassed.
Jiang Ming shrugged his shoulders. He could feel that her heart was slowly warming up to him, and all he needed to do was to be patient.
Time will tell her that he truly meant well to her.
“Alright, everyone please follow my instructions,” Jiang Ming turned around and announced.
“I’ve detected some abnormal presence ahead of us, so I do not know what we are going to see. Hence, I’m going to explain things to you once, and if you failed to understand it, then that’s your fault.”
Before the group could comprehend his announcement, he had already begun mumbling some unknown words to them.
To their surprise, the moment they tried repeating those unknown words in their mind, a spark of spiritual qi resonated from their body, allowing them to utilize a tiny bit of spiritual qi.
“What was that enchantment?” Yuan Chunhua asked in alarm. “I only repeated the chanting for a brief moment and I could feel spiritual qi circulating my dantain already.”
“That’s because it’s from a sutra,” Jiang Ming casually replied.
“If you had a method to allow us to circulate our spiritual qi from the start, then why did you wait until now?” Chen Yanmu suddenly intervened.
“We were like powerless mortals the entire time and were exposed to danger constantly.”
“Nobody would think you’re a mute if you don’t open your mouth,” Jiang Ming spat, unwilling to bother to argue with her. There was a more important task to do than argue with a greenhorn brat like her.
The sutra might be powerful and allow them to utilize spiritual qi, but the consequence of overusing it and breaking the laws of the domain would be deadly.
The sutra itself won’t be harmful, but the action alone might provoke the domain and cause a chain reaction.
He was already struggling enough to deal with one type of puzzle, let alone another barrage of puzzles. The worst part is, that he could no longer guarantee the puzzles would be the same as the ones in Cultivation Omega.
Thus, Jiang Ming was now taking each step in precaution. It was better to be safe than sorry.
“Anyway, Yuan Chunhua, make sure to follow me closely. I can feel a chilly atmosphere beyond the path, so I will have my flame constantly up and running.” Jiang Ming said softly.
Yuan Chunhua merely nodded her head and followed his instruction without hesitation. She had complete trust in him and no longer bothered to ask some dumb questions anymore.
Meanwhile, Chen Yanmu could only pout slightly before following Jiang Ming with a reluctant expression. That was the outcome of someone who had always been spoiled since young and was treated as a goddess by some people.
‘Alas, Disciple Chen Yanmu still needs to be educated,’ Elder Feiling thought. She knew partially it was her fault and the other elder’s fault for spoiling her given the talent Chen Yanmu had produced.
However, talent could only get you so far when your character and personality are below average.
Time slowly passed, and Jiang Ming could feel his arm getting frostbitten despite having the Moonstow Flame in the open.
‘To be able to nullify the heat from the essence flame… just what kind of creature is lying ahead?’ Jiang Ming cursed silently.
An essence flame temperature was equivalent to a thousand volcano eruptions. Yet that temperature alone was not enough to nullify the chillness and even caused him to have frostbite.
It doesn’t go to say that Yuan Chunhua and the other two were having it worst considering how they don’t own an essence flame.
They were shivering and constantly tried to rub their arms to produce some warmth like some normal mortals.
Seeing Yuan Chunhua’s face turning pale, Jiang Ming hurriedly wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer. After that, he shared half of his Moonstow Flame with her, allowing the heat to warm her body up.
Just when Yuan Chunhua wanted to open her mouth to thank him, Jiang Ming shook his head and stopped her.
“Focus on warming your body up instead. Don’t waste energy saying some stuff.” He warned.
At the same time, he retrieved two heart-warming pills for Chen Yanmu and Elder Feiling. The heart-warming pill might not be as effective as an essence flame, but it was still enough to help them retain a conscience.
Ding!
<Player Jiang Ming had entered the chamber of the Ice Dragon. Coldness had risen up and it’s recommended that Player Jiang Ming rest for the night and wait for daytime>
<Ice Dragon are typically in slumber during the night, but their natural coldness would spread all around>
–
‘Ice Dragon?’ Jiang Ming was baffled when the system prompt appeared in front of him and mentioned a mythical beast.
However, what surprised him the most was that an Ice Dragon would actually be in slumber underneath the Haze Forest. Not to mention, he had never seen a real dragon before.
Dragons are extremely scarce and were only thought to be a rumor back in Cultivation Omega because no one had seen them except after obtaining some texts or hints regarding their existence.
“Damn it, just why did I have to encounter such a mythical being now?” He muttered in disbelief. The current him was in no position to fight the Ice Dragon, let alone tame one.
“Did you discover something?” Yuan Chunhua asked while blowing air into her hand to try to warm herself.
Jiang Ming tried to smile and shake his head to not alarm her, but it was a futile effort.
“Do I look like some 3 years old?” She asked him.
“Sigh, let’s just retreat back for a while and make a camping spot first, ok?” Jiang Ming suggested.
Yuan Chunhua understood their current location was not ideal for a conversation so she nodded her head.
Before that, she made sure to take out an item and place it for him, “This item was given to me by my master. As for the usage, not even my master may know it, but with your knowledge, I think you will find a way.”
