Game Lord's Cultivation System

220 True Story

As the debris finally stopped falling after a few minutes, everyone could see a new path opened up to them.

Jiang Ming stretched his body again as he patted the shoulder of the current disbelief expression of Chen Yanmu.

“Congrats, Chen Yanmu. For the first time, you are not a nuisance and actually did something useful once in your lifetime. You must be so proud right now.” He praised her sincerely.

Meanwhile, Chen Yanmu felt like vomiting blood at his damn praising. His sincerity in praising her merely made her even angrier as she wanted to slap the shit out of him.

Alas, that was impossible given how the fingers of her bones had been cracked and there was no way of using her spiritual qi to repair the injury.

At this time though, Jiang Ming suddenly clasped his hand and smiled brightly.

“Oh my, I’ve forgotten about the fact that I’m a walking pill inventory. I just so happen to have a pill that can cure the broken bones of your fingers.” He facepalmed at his blunder.

‘He’s a damn devil…’ Yuan Chunhua instantly thought when she saw how much he was toying with Chen Yanmu.

‘What an evil incantation.’ Elder Feiling thought but didn’t voice her opinion. She was in a predicament as well and was in no condition to start a fight against Jiang Ming.

As for Chen Yanmu, she felt so wronged and wanted to thrash Jiang Ming so badly.

“Why must you be so cruel to me?” She asked him. “You were the one that killed my father publicly and now you are torturing me like this. Has my Chen Clan ever done something wrong to you?”

Hearing her question, Jiang Ming knelt down on his knee and smirked, “Has your Chen Clan done anything wrong to me?”

He paused for a brief moment before whispering to her, “Chen Peizhu was the first one to trifle with me and after I helped him out, he agreed to hand over the Moon Bazaar to me. However, once I made the Moon Bazaar turn into a successful business, he had the nerve to come out and purposely frame me into stealing it from him. So tell me, who wronged who first?”

Chen Yanmu’s body trembled for a moment since this was her first time hearing such a piece of news.

“I-Impossible… Elder Di Tianluo had stated that you openly robbed the Moon Bazaar from our Chen Clan with the help of the emperor and even killed Chen Peizhu because he wanted to resist.” She said stutteringly.

It was at this moment that Jiang Ming knew she had been played like a fool.

“Haha, oh dear, Chen Yanmu, how hopeless could you be.” Jiang Ming covered his face with his hand as he started laughing wildly.

No wonder why she had cooperated with the 6 powerful clans to commit a coup de grace. She had truly been an idiot this entire time.

Chen Yanmu held a perplexed look when she saw Jiang Ming laughing at her.

Meanwhile, Yuan Chunhua took this time to explain to her the real events that had occurred back then.

By the time she finished narrating the true story, Chen Yanmu’s expression darkened completely.

She was raging in fury when she realized she had been played like a fool by Di Tianluo. ‘That fucking bastard dares to trick me and caused me such humiliations!’

“Yuan Chunhua, why even bother explaining it to her?” Jiang Ming turned toward her and asked.

And he continued, “Whether she learns the truth or not, it doesn’t change the fact that her intelligence does not match her so-called talents at all. Imagine believing someone without bothering to verify the news.”

Yuan Chunhua’s eyes glinted for a moment, prompting Jiang Ming to keep his mouth shut.

Right now he was trying to improve their relationship back to normal, so he didn’t want to irritate her further.

Once he shrugged his shoulders and proceeded to check at the new pathing, Yuan Chunhua extended her hand out to Chen Yanmu.

“Since it was all a misunderstanding from the start and you don’t really care about your father’s death, then I suppose we can get along well now, right?” Yuan Chunhua said calmly.

At the end of the day, she was still thinking of the big picture. Having one more ally is way better than having another enemy.

As long as the Tian Shuai Sect backed off the plan to cooperate with the 6 powerful clans, the royal family’s chance of dealing with them would increase exponentially.

At the same time, the 6 powerful clans would actually gain another powerful enemy for themselves given how they tried to deceive Chen Yanmu.

In addition, the life and death of some important elders in the 6 powerful clans were still unknown. Yuan Chunhua truly hoped they weren’t as bright or smart as Jiang Ming and remained stuck in this dimension forever.

Meanwhile, Chen Yanmu pondered for a while before grabbing Yuan Chunhua’s hand and standing up with her help.

Once she helped her up, Yuan Chunhua shouted toward Jiang Ming.

“Jiang Ming, don’t you have the healing pill to cure her broken fingers. Now is a good time to give it to her and mend the broken relationship we have with her.”

Jiang Ming twitched his mouth. Who do you think I am now? I’m not your slave nor your butler.

Just as he wanted to refuse, Yuan Chunhua suddenly sent him a mental transmission. “If you gain Chen Yanmu’s favor and cause her to change sides to us, then I shall go on a date with you once we are out.”

Jiang Ming faked a cough as he paused his footstep.

“Hmm, given my generosity and magnanimous self, I shall give you my precious pill to heal.” He said generously and retrieved his healing pill from his inventory.

Yuan Chunhua rolled her eyes at his fake generosity. She doubted he would really provide the healing pill if she didn’t give him some reward.

‘Whatever, it’s just a date. I never said anything about giving him other benefits besides the date.’ She thought.

Sometime later, Chen Yanmu consumed the healing pill given by Jiang Ming and realized her injury had quickly healed.

Meanwhile, Elder Feiling was a bit baffled when she noticed the purity of the pill.

‘97% purity??! Not even our sect alchemist could produce such quality.’ She exclaimed inwardly.

Yuan Chunhua naturally caught her change in behavior as she smiled menacingly.

“Edler Feiling, I don’t think you have seen a 97% purity pill before, right?” She asked calmly.

Elder Feiling nodded her head. “Un, the best our sect alchemist could produce was 87% purity at his best state. Alchemy is never easy and it was already hard enough to produce 80% purity and above pills.”

“Heh, then you must have not heard about our capital city having a renowned alchemist that could produce 97% purity every single time.” Yuan Chunhua said, causing Elder Feiling to be alarmed.

“How is that possible?”

“Of course, it’s possible, Elder Feiling. Given how you had rushed to the Haze Forest, you must have not entered the capital city before. If you had entered, then you would have known that our alchemist had surpassed the boundary.” Yuan Chunhua boasted.

And of course, she knew exactly why their alchemist managed to have such a breakthrough in terms of alchemy. It was all thanks to the seemingly casual and joking person in front of them.

‘If only he could be more serious in life, then everyone would have revered him as a hero. Just why did he have to play a fool and womanize around?’ Yuan Chunhua couldn’t understand Jiang Ming’s behavior.

As long as he revealed his true talent and skills to the world, then she was sure he could get as many women as he wanted.

Women always sought a powerful man as their companion and he could easily become one. Yet his laziness always got the best of him.

While she was truly confused by his conduct, Elder Feiling had already grasped Yuan Chunhua’s hand.

She asked in a frantic manner, “Please tell me who that renowned alchemist was. We must pay our respect to him as soon as we leave this wretched place.”

Seeing how frantic her expression was, Yuan Chunhua knew she had gotten the Tian Shuai Sect into their side already. After all, the alchemist she was going to refer to was Alchemist Ren.

And anyone with a profound intelligence network knew Alchemist Ren was completely loyal to one person only. Whatever that person says, Alchemist Ren would only nod his head and rush to accomplish the task.

“Alchemist Ren is a highly influential person in the capital city. His alchemy skill alone is enough to cause a new era for us cultivators. So it’s a given that not many people could meet him even if they wanted to.” Yuan Chunhua said, purposely making it a mysterious and difficult thing to have a meeting with him.
