Game Lord's Cultivation System

209 System Database

Yang Liqin was clearly displeased by Jiang Ming’s intention of trying to do a mission alone. Although she knew he was capable of completing, her relationship with him prevented her from feeling assured.

Not only was she his aunt, but she was also his lover now.

How could she relax while knowing he was doing something dangerous?

“Jiang Ming, you must bring Yuan Chunhua with you to the mission. Otherwise, don’t even think about heading out alone.” Yang Liqin held a fierce glint at him. She wanted him to know that she was serious and would be infuriated if he refused her demand.

Jiang Ming smiled bitterly as he was feeling helpless at Yang Liqin’s demand.

“Alrighty then, I will contact Instructor Yuan Chunhua afterward and talk about cooperation.” Jiang Ming said bitterly.

Silently though, he had decided to agree with her now but secretly departed alone. That way, he could satisfy her condition and make sure Yuan Chunhua would not stick with him at the same time.

Alas, his mind was still naive to think Yang Liqin would fall for his words. She was an expert when it comes to people lying to her or merely talking crap but that doesn’t mean it.

“Hmph, I’ll contact Yuan Chunhua directly to work alongside you. If she dared to refuse, then she can forget about making it up with me.” Yang Liqin snorted coldly.

“W-Wait a minute, aunt. I think it’s better if I tell her myself.” Jiang Ming hurriedly intervened. He was sure that if Yang Liqin was the one to contact her, then Yuan Chunhua would definitely not refuse her demand.

Seeing his flustered behavior, Yang Liqin narrowed her eyes as she knew he was definitely toying with her.

With an icy cold gaze, she glared at him and said, “I will contact her and I will tell you this one thing. If you go on the mission alone, then you can forget about me. I will no longer acknowledge you as my nephew nor my lover anymore.”

Jiang Ming’s face paled when he saw how serious she was. Although it was just words, he could feel his back being stabbed by a bunch of daggers.

Sweats started trickling down his forehead as he smiled nervously, “O-Of course, aunt. Since you want to do the contacting, then I’ll gladly comply with your arrangement.”

Who was he kidding?

She was threatening to cut off their relationship once and for all if he were to insist on going alone.

There was no way he would dare to insist further and provoke an erupting volcano that would burn his entire body.

Sometime later, Yang Liqin grabbed a few tubes from the laboratory and handed them to Jiang Ming with extra care.

“Although the poison hasn’t been perfected, this can still be considered a protocol.” Yang Liqin said.

Jiang Ming held the tubes in his hand and noticed the sizzling liquid within the clear glass container. A bit of nervousness appeared on his face as he wondered if the glass was safe.

After all, the tubes reminded him of chemistry- a subject that he was unable to comprehend no matter how hard he had studied in the past.

“Don’t be afraid, Jiang Ming.” Yang Liqin chuckled softly when she finally saw him being timid.

“Do you think I would hand you some dangerous stuff without safety procedures? Those tubes are personally built by me and unless you open the tube cap, the poison inside would bever be released into the surface.” She explained.

Jiang Ming finally nodded his head and stopped being nervous. It was just some tubes with poison in them. No big deal.

However, he almost dropped the tubes accidentally when a system prompt popped up to him.

Ding!

<Detected poison type in Player Jiang Ming’s hand>

<Does Player Jiang Ming wish to copy the poison and store it in the system database?>

Jiang Ming raised an eyebrow in confusion.

Though he was confused about copying the poison and storing it in the system database, he didn’t find any negative thing about agreeing to it.

Hence, he nodded his head and allowed the GLCS 2.0 to record the poison type to the database.

And that was when Jiang Ming was truly awestruck by the capability of the GLCS 2.0.

Ding!

<Poison type identified as an advanced form of poison diverge from Botulinum Toxin.>

<Analyzing the structure and chemical compound of the poison>

<Duration: 3 hours>

When Jiang Ming saw that the GLCS 2.0 was capable of actually producing a complete product of the poison that Yang Liqin was busy inventing, disbelief filled his expression.

How could he not be shocked by such an unexpected function?

With this knowledge, Jiang Ming became more intrigued about finding unknown substances and storing them in the system database.

That was because the system database seemed to be in the same waveform as his brain since he now fully understood the type of poison Yang Liqin was inventing.

Meanwhile, Yang Liqin held a dazed expression as she looked at Jiang Ming.

“Are you okay, Jiang Ming?” She asked. “Why are you just standing still and not moving?”

Jiang Ming quickly snapped out of his daze as he stored the tubes in his inventory.

“Nothing, I was merely surprised by my aunt’s peerless skill that doesn’t seem to have a limit.” He praised her and changed the topic.

Yang Liqin didn’t mull over it much as she resumed work in her laboratory.

“I’ll be busy here for another few hours, so you should just go. The storage room is in the left aisle of this place and you should be able to find some women’s clothes there.” She casually said.

Meanwhile, Jiang Ming nearly had his eyeball popped out. “H-How did you know I came down for women’s clothes?”

As far as he knew, the matter of him making love with Hong Ling was completely private. He even activated a formation around him to prevent anyone else from finding out.

“Given how nobody had stopped you from coming down, I can tell Hong Ling must have been eaten by you.” Yang Liqin snickered coldly.

“Before I left, I had made sure to tell her that nobody is allowed to enter the basement level. Without her presence, the other normal workers naturally didn’t dare to stop you from coming down. After all, you’re the owner and have a close relationship with me.”

Jiang Ming scratched his head in embarrassment. He had severely underestimated the investigation skills of Yang Liqin.

To be able to pinpoint so much from a few context clues and accurately tell that he was doing naughty things with Hong Ling was impressive enough.

“Hehe, you wouldn’t blame me, right?” Jiang Ming asked shamelessly, walking closer to her and wrapping his hand around her waist.

“If I was truly enraged, then do you think I would be standing here calmly?” Yang Liqin responded with a question of hers.

And she continued, “Just go and bring her some clothes. Considering your rogue and savage-like behavior, I can tell her clothes must have been torn completely by you. If you kept her waiting naked in the office, then she might think something had gone wrong.”

With that said, Jiang Ming shamelessly left the laboratory and went to the storage room to pick out some clothes for Hong Ling.

However, he didn’t know exactly what Hong Ling preferred to wear, so he could only choose similar clothes that matched the previous outfit she was wearing.

Once he finished picking up the clothes, Jiang Ming tried to leave the basement level, only to find the exit had disappeared.

Just when he tried to open his mouth to inform Yang Liqin about it, she snapped her finger and said in annoyance, “Sigh, can’t you just utilize your spiritual qi to detect the illusion? I didn’t guard you, so you should be able to find it relatively quickly.”

Despite saying that, she still helped him locate the exit door.

Jiang Ming could only shake his head and left the basement level.

The moment he left, Yang Liqin’s expression changed for a split second before returning to her experiment.

Sometime later, Jiang Ming returned to his personal office and saw Hong Ling sitting nervously on the couch.

“You’ve finally returned, Jiang Ming.” Hong Ling held an aggrieved expression when she saw him entering. “I thought you forgot about me and left me here. Did you know how nervous I was if someone else were to enter the room?”

Jiang Ming held an apologetic look as he swiftly revealed the clothes that he had chosen for her.

“Sorry, Hong Ling. There were so many clothes, and I couldn’t pick one of them that could match up with your beauty.” He quickly said, feeling proud of himself to find such an excuse in no time.

Of course, Hong Ling knew he was talking nonsense, but her anger still subsided when she heard his words. Women always prefer sweet and flowery words whether they are the truth or not.
