While waiting patiently for Madam Yang to finish packing, Hong Ling couldn’t hold back her curiosity any further.
“Where are we going to move?” Hong Ling asked.
Since Jiang Ming has decided to leave his house on an impulse then it’s a given that they have no place to live in.
Jiang Ming turned around and faced her. “Did you forget what Little Ren gave me to curry more favor from me?”
Hong Ling gasped in surprise when she realized this. ‘T-The gold card status. H-How did I forget about that important card?’.
Jiang Ming smiled and retrieved the gold card as he played around with it.
“What’s the point of holding a gold card status and not using it to the maximum benefit? If I remember correctly, not even the Ming family are influential enough to hold one of these so wouldn’t it be a slap to their face when the so-called trash has this.” Jiang Ming laughed evilly as he prepared to mess with his family.
The fact that it was possible for the original Jiang Ming to suffer so much in the academy and even died in the end, proves that no one in the family cares about him.
Since it was that case then he wouldn’t be polite either to them. As for his father, Jiang Ming scoffed as he went through the original Jiang Ming’s memory and he has never done his father’s duty correctly.
Only Madam Yang sticks with him in the past so he would gladly provide her the best that he can offer.
“Seems like Madam Yang has finished packing.” Jiang Ming said softly once he was able to see her coming out.
Meanwhile, Hong Ling became dumbfounded. She was confused about how Jiang Ming addresses Madam Yang.
‘Just now, Jiang Ming blurted out Madam Yang but in front of her, he changed to mother.’ Hong Ling pondered inwardly.
“Mother, you’re back.” Jiang Ming exclaimed when Madam Yang stepped out of the entrance.
“Mhmm, we don’t have many things to pack anyway so it was pretty quick.” Madam Yang replied.
Her hand was empty without any belonging but Jiang Ming knew it was stored in the spatial ring located in her index finger on the right.
“Where are we going to move?” Madam Yang asked.
“To the central district. We’re going to buy a house there.” Jiang Ming calmly replied, causing Madam Yang to be dumbstruck.
‘Central District? When did Jiang Ming become so confident that he’s willing to enter that area and even want to buy the house?’ Madam Yang asked inwardly before staring at Jiang Ming.
“A-Are you serious, Jiang Ming? Central District is different from other places in the Northern Continent.” Madam Yang warned.
Jiang Ming nodded his head slowly as he turned around and started walking, indicating that he really meant his word.
Madam Yang glanced at his back and wondered if he was still the same Jiang Ming she knew.
‘His tone of speech and demeanor is so different.’
Madam Yang raised her eyebrow slightly in surprise and tried to use her spiritual sense to detect him to see if there’s any abnormal thing hidden that could cause a change in his behavior.
Jiang Ming sensed her spiritual sense and turned around to look at her. Madam Yang was surprised that she was caught by Jiang Ming when she made sure to be secretive.
“Mother, you don’t have to worry about me being possessed by some other beings. I’m still the Jiang Ming you know.” Jiang Mind smiled.
Afterward, he turned around and started walking toward the Central District zone, leaving the dazed Madam Yang.
“U-Um, Madam Yang, we should hurry up or we’re going to fall behind.” Hong Ling kindly reminded her since she was her master’s mother.
Thus, she needed to do her duty as a servant.
Madam Yang snapped out of her daze and nodded slightly as she quickly followed behind Jiang Ming.
While walking, Madam Yang started asking Hong Ling’s question, “What’s your name young lady, and what’s your relationship with Jiang Ming?”
Since Jiang Ming never officially introduced Hong Ling to Madam Yang due to the ruckus of the guard, Madam Yang didn’t know anything about her.
“My name is Hong Ling and my current status is just a maid for Jiang Ming.” Hong Ling replied politely.
“A-A maid?” Madam Yang twitched her mouth slightly.
Never in her life did she expect Jiang Ming would be able to give her so many surprises in one day.
The original Jiang Ming could be counted as timid in her opinions and was trash in terms of cultivation, making him an eyesore to the people in the Ming family. However, Jiang Ming’s behavior and attitude have completely changed after the incident in the academy that made him bedridden.
‘Is this the moment where Jiang Ming would shine?’ Madam Yang pondered inwardly as she stared at Jiang Ming solemnly who was walking with confidence and almost like there was a profound aura surrounding him.
“We’ve arrived.” Jiang Ming suddenly stopped and said as he looked up the sign above that labeled Central District.
“Um, Jiang Ming, I forgot to mention this but you need a great reputation and influence to step foot inside here. With my identity as Madam Yang, I don’t think I’m eligible to enter inside.” Madam Yang whispered softly once she got closer to Jiang Ming.
While Madam Yang was saying that, the guards that were guarding the entrance of the Central District merely smirked as they believed it’s another lowly commoner that’s trying to test their luck to enter inside.
Jiang Ming patted Madam Yang’s shoulder lightly and said, “Rest assured, mother. Do you take me for a fool who couldn’t help himself but ask for a beating?”
Madam Yang giggled softly at the joke that Jiang Ming made.
“When did you learn to tease your mother?” Madam Yang asked.
Jiang Ming shrugged his shoulders, keeping it a secret from Madam Yang as he walked toward the guards.
