122 Holy Rod
Chau Heung’s face was flushed in redness when she heard his words. It was like the devil’s whisper, crawling through her skin.
“I-I’m just a mere receptionist and barely have any wealth.” Chau Heung whimpered like a frightened cat. Though she had her hand placed on his chest, clearly understanding what to do in her current position.
She was sitting on top of Jiang Ming, a person that many women wished to sit on and enjoy his company.
After all, powerful and confident men are always attractive to women. It would be a lie if Chau Heung said she was not enjoying the seduction from Jiang Ming.
“Well, your little brother is going to take a while to comprehend the soul force and advance. How about you take this opportunity to help me gather the list of herbs?” Jiang Ming asked, flashing her the list once again.
Chau Heung glanced at the list for a brief moment before nodding her head. She grabbed the list and coyly stood up from his lap.
“Please excuse me for a while then, Jiang Ming.” She said timidly, leaving in a hurry..
Jiang Ming chuckled softly at Chau Heung’s action.
She was supposed to be the lovely receptionist that seduced others into buying more herbs to increase her bonus. Yet she was now thoroughly seduced by him instead.
How ironic was that?
Seeing how Chau Heung had left the third floor already, he sat back down and activated his spiritual perception.
His spiritual perception easily penetrated the large door without any hindrance. For others, it might be impossible to use their spiritual perception to sense what’s happening inside, but not for him.
If he couldn’t even do such a simple task, then he should just lay low and keep his haughty mouth shut for eternity.
With his spiritual perception, Jiang Ming saw Alchemist Ren was at the final phase of his refinement. Seeing how he was close to reaching the final step, Jiang Ming decided to wait for a while before breaking into the room.
Alchemist Ren’s success in advancing his rank would be helpful to him, so waiting a bit longer isn’t a problem.
‘At least I didn’t give him some alchemy recipes for nothing.’ Jiang Ming thought. He then retracted his spiritual perception, allowing Alchemist Ren to refine alone without his interruption.
Once he returned to his normal state, Jiang Ming patiently waited for Chau Zhimen to finish circulating his soul force.
Sometime later, Chau Zhimen advanced and broke through the barrier, entering a new level in terms of soul force. With his soul force now, Chau Zhimen is capable of refining the first-rank pill without a problem.
Of course, he still needed to be guided properly on how to do the procedure. Otherwise, it’s just meaningless power if you don’t know how to utilize
Jiang Ming nodded his head in approval when the time took about half an incense, barely passable in his book.
“Not bad, facing pressure and was able to withstand it with sheer determination.” Jiang Ming praised, clapping his hands.
Chau Zhimen ignored his praise as he stood up, wiping some of the blood off his mouth with his hand.
“Save your hypocrisy for others. I won’t be fooled by you.” He said angrily. He prepared his stance, clearly ready for another round of soul force battle. He was like a young blood that had just gotten ready to fight another round over and over again.
Jiang Ming was pleased to see such a fighting spirit from him. It reminded him a lot of his newbie days when he started playing Cultivation Omega. Sheer determination is truly a frightening thing that one must fear.
“Heh, if you want to act arrogantly after resisting 1/10 of my actual soul force, then you are still not ready.” Jiang Ming sneered coldly.
Before Chau Zhimen could respond, Jiang Ming threw a pill toward him.
“Consume that pill to regenerate your soul force. I’ve told Chau Heung that you won’t be harmed and I always keep my promises.”
Chau Zhimen held the pill in his hand tightly, not moving an inch. It was clear that he was still hesitant to receive something from a person he perceived as an enemy.
Jiang Ming sighed softly at his stubborn attitude. However, it wasn’t like he had never dealt with these kinds of people.
Jiang Ming sat back down on his chair and crossed his legs. “I don’t really care if you consume it or not, but I can guarantee you that Chau Heung would be upset and worried if she were to see you injured.”
Once he heard Jiang Ming bringing up Chau Heung, Chau Zhimen no longer dared to idle around as he quickly consumed the pill directly.
‘Ah, their strong sibling bond is truly a thing to be envious of.’ Jiang Ming sighed inwardly. He was born with many siblings, yet none of them were close to him. Thus, he couldn’t help but be envious of their sibling relationships.
Meanwhile, Chau Zhimen had finished regenerating his soul force as he stared at Jiang Ming.
“Who are you and why are you bothering my elder sister?” He finally decided to ask about Jiang Ming’s identity.
Jiang Ming shrugged his shoulders. “Just a nobody that is looking for a beautiful woman to enjoy.”
Chau Zhimen clenched his fist tightly, but he didn’t allow anger to cloud his judgment. He was sure that Jiang Ming was purposely taunting and teasing him to act.
Who would believe that a nobody would have such a strong soul force?
Chau Zhimen took a deep breath before calming his emotion.
“What is your purpose in the alchemist guild? You are not a worker here nor a customer, and you don’t have an alchemist badge either. So why would my elder sister bring you up to the third floor that is strictly restricted.” Chau Zhimen asked.
Jiang Ming smirked evilly as he pointed at his crotch.
“Because of this holy rod, your elder sister was mesmerized and allowed me to do as I pleased.”
