’Hey system, is this profile accurate? Isn’t my health a bit too high?’ Mirabella thought, standing completely still before Bella’s quiet grave. The sheer volume of her vitality was enough to sustain a small planet, a heavy contrast to the dead earth beneath her boots.

Julian stood some distance away, his imposing aura completely suppressed to give her space. At the moment, the Master of the Chaos System was just an observant shadow, respecting the sacred boundary between the Goddess and the resting dead.

{Host’s current stats are above what is displayed, in short, Host’s current abilities are higher than that.}

Mirabella nodded her head, turning her full attention back to the grave. She exhaled a breath that carried the chilling weight of her new bloodline, and stretched her hand towards the earth.

A wave of pitch-dark, highly concentrated Divine energy flew out from her palm, rippling the air before it merged with the ground. The soil did not break, but from it, Bella’s phantom form appeared again, tethered to the mortal realm by Mirabella’s sheer willpower.

Seeing Mirabella bathed in the terrifying, golden aura of a Peak Divine Sovereign, Bella was stunned. The sheer pressure of Mirabella’s existence was overwhelming, yet perfectly controlled so as not to shatter the fragile spirit.

"Hey Bella, I am sure you know who I am." Mirabella said with a small, melancholic smile. She had conquered enemies, massacred billions, and rewritten the laws of the world, all so she could stand here and offer her best friend a second chance.

Bella stared at her for some seconds, her ethereal form shifting slightly like mist in a gentle breeze, then turned her gaze to Julian in the background, who simply shrugged at her in silent acknowledgment of the absurdity they were all part of.

"Congratulations, Mirabella." Bella said with a sad tone. It wasn’t the joyous reunion of victors, but the weary greeting of a soul that had seen too much.

"Huh? Why are you sad? I came here to bring you back." Mirabella snapped her fingers. The spatial fabric tore open, and the miniature golden Palace appeared in her hand. From its space, Celestia appeared.

"I also created a very powerful body for you... I just need your go-ahead, and I will bring you back to life." She explained.

Bella turned to Celestia. The body was exceptionally beautiful, forged from Supreme Class materials and overflowing with latent vitality. Even as a Ghost unbound by mortal desires, she was amazed by the sheer craftsmanship, but... The weight of existence was a heavy burden.

"I am sorry Mirabella. I know you want me back, but I don’t want to come back to this world... You already fulfilled your promise to me. That is more than enough; please, I don’t want to come back, I want to be free."

"But you’ll be free, alive!! No one will dare hurt you!! You should rule with me!" Mirabella yelled at her, her golden eyes wide with a mix of betrayal and heartbreak.

In her previous, tragic life, Bella was the only one who stood and fought beside her when the entire world turned its back. Losing such a fiercely loyal, close friend across two agonizing lifetimes didn’t sit well with the Sovereign of the World. She had the power to conquer death, yet she couldn’t conquer Bella’s exhaustion.

"After I died, I finally got the memories from my previous life... That was when I remembered you, and everyone. I know how you feel, but if I come back, I won’t find peace... Please, Mirabella, accept my request." She pleaded, her eyes filled with a profound, quiet wisdom that transcended stats and levels. She had remembered the endless cycle of blood, and pain. She continued:

"Besides, I love this place I am resting... I don’t want to go back, I want to be free."

Mirabella exhaled heavily, her fists clenched so tightly at her sides that the space around her knuckles cracked. No matter how much she fiercely wanted Bella back by her side, her absolute power as the Goddess of Death meant she governed the dead—she respected them. She could forcefully bind a soul, but she could never go against her dearest friend’s final wish.

With a resigned sigh, she looked up, the golden light in her eyes dimming slightly: "Then, what about the body?"

"I remembered someone from my previous life, he is handsome and beautiful... But he lost everything in this world, I want to help him."

"...?!"

Mirabella was stunned. She quickly ransacked her brain, searching through memories for this specific person, and the next moment, the realization hit her, leaving her utterly stunned:

"Wait, you mean, Hitachi??" She muttered in surprise, the name tasting like ash.

Bella nodded her head, her ethereal form glowing with a tragic, unresolved warmth: "I want to help him."

"Even now you still love him? He didn’t even glance at you twice back then!!" Mirabella yelled at her, her battle-hardened logic violently rejecting the notion. Hitachi was an aloof powerhouse shrouded in his own endless darkness.

"I don’t care, he is cold not because he wants to be, but because of circumstances. He has two younger sisters, one was killed with his family, and the second was later killed by his uncle... He didn’t know about the second yet. I want you to revive the second sister, and place her in this body." She explained her final request.

Her words echoed through the quiet graveyard, not only stunning Mirabella into absolute silence, but also causing Julian to stiffen in the distance.

What Bella was asking could easily be achieved with Mirabella’s current, reality-breaking strength, but still... giving away her only chance to live again, to breathe, to conquer, and to rule alongside the strongest being in the universe, all just because of a completely one-sided, unrequited love? To the minds forged in the brutal fires of the system, it was the absolute height of foolishness. Yet, in the face of Bella’s serene, unwavering smile, neither the Goddess of Death nor the King of Chaos could find the words to argue.
