Chapter 757 The Ancient Blue Family Part IV
After settling everything, Alex and the others returned to the inn.
Because he was still suspecting the Ancient Blue Family, he decided to call the Freedom Sect not long after they came back to the inn.
Aileen, Viola, and Riadon sat in front of him while Jeanne stood behind Alex.
"Thank you for your help." Alex cupped his hands and smiled.
"It's fine. This is also to fulfill our dream." Aileen shook her head.
"Are you going to return tomorrow?"
"Yes." Aileen nodded. "We are planning to set off first like a normal person before finishing the rest of the journey with my Space Element."
"Since Great Elder Aileen needs to teach my disciple and Great Elder Riadon needs to accompany her, may I borrow Great Elder Viola for a moment?" Alex asked.
"!!!" This request took them by surprise. They never thought Alex needed Viola for whatever reason.
Alex simply smiled as Jeanne found his decision strange. She asked with a thought transmission. 'Master. Why do you want to ask her? Our Spirit Nest is strong enough to solve your problem…'
'I have two reasons. First, I want to see whether they are wary of me or not. If they trust me, Elder Viola won't have a problem accompanying me. Secondly, I can't trust the Ancient Blue Family yet. There is still a chance for it to be a trap. Hence, I need a 10-Star Martial Saint with me.
'Elder Viola is more suitable. Not only did she listen to the conversation, but she also knows my master. This way, we will be able to hide our strength for a little longer. As for the Ancient Blue Family, we should be able to escape with her strength and my Space Element.'
'I see.' Jeanne agreed with Alex after hearing the reason.
Aileen's answer surprised him a little bit.
"Sure. We don't have a problem. Viola also wants to see you, her mentor's disciple." There wasn't a single shred of doubt in her face as she decided this spontaneously. In other words, they trusted him with their back, relieving his doubt.
"Yes. I am wondering what kind of lifestyle you have this whole time." She nodded with a smile.
"Riadon will accompany me back since it's better to talk about this alliance with Licht. I think we don't have any more plans after this other than the war itself, right?"
"I think so." Alex nodded with an unsure expression.
"Anyway, if you need help, just inform us. We will help you to the best of our ability." Aileen said while Riadon nodded in agreement.
"Thank you."
The trio then returned to their room, waiting until everyone had left.
The next day.
Alex saw off the other two influences before going separate ways with the Freedom Sect. Aileen and Riadon also flew in another direction right in front of the city.
Alex could see a few energy signs around them and smile. These people must be from the Ancient Blue Family. They must want to see what kind of relationship he had with this so-called influence.
Having Viola with him seemed to be effective since they would think he had a bodyguard. There was no way two influences in an equal term would lend their 10-Star Martial Saint away. Aileen obviously hadn't found out this fact when she agreed to his request.
Even if she knew about this hidden intention, she didn't mind because Alex brought hope for them to live on the surface again. Hence, as long as Alex didn't do anything excessive, she didn't really mind.
Meanwhile, Alex flew toward another direction.
"By the way… I didn't ask this question yesterday, but where are we going for the rest of the week?" Viola asked, glancing at Alex's confident face.
"We are going back to the inn and staying there for a week. I have extended the stay in the morning to make them think I would go back to that inn… Little do they know I have returned there just after this." Alex smirked evilly. "This way, they can search for us anywhere and won't be able to find us. The most dangerous place is also the safest… Have you heard that idiom?"
"!!!" Viola laughed out loud, feeling satisfied. "Now I can see why Licht got played by you… You are a daredevil. When are you going to open your Spatial Gate?"
"A bit more, so they can make sure we are leaving." Alex nodded.
"Sure. I will play along with you."
After arriving in a certain direction, Alex took another glance on his back, finding nothing but empty air. He then created another Spatial Gate and entered the Space World with Jeanne and Viola, heading toward the inn.
"Haha… I never thought that these guys could be easily fooled." Viola laughed as soon as she reached the inn after a long flying session in the Space World.
"If you don't mind, just use this room as you please. I am staying here as well, but I might cultivate this whole time." Alex nodded.
"You can't rent two rooms anyway since they will suspect you to have another intention." Viola nodded before lying on the bed.
"If you don't mind, can you tell me how you met your master?"
Alex thought for a moment and talked about it. He only told her about his master Maxwell since there wasn't much to talk about it.
Viola could only shake her head when she realized that Alex grew up alone without anyone's assistance. As for his Spirit Nest, there were many rumors about them. Many even thought that the group didn't exist, and it was only Alex's fabricated lie.
Alex didn't really care about it. If the leaders were wise, they wouldn't pick a fight with someone unknown because there would be too many potential risks. Hence, Alex didn't bother with confirming the group until recently.
Their talk didn't last for even half an hour before Viola couldn't ask anything that wasn't a secret. Alex then waited until next week. Viola also waited patiently without bothering Alex.
Finally, when the week passed, Alex sent another letter to the Ancient Blue Family, asking whether he had finished the preparation, and the latter gave permission for Alex to enter the mansion.
Alex, Jeanne, and Viola walked toward the mansion before sneaking inside this place to not cause a ruckus according to the direction that the guards gave them.
Davi personally greeted him and guided him inside the secret passage so Alex could trust him.
He entered this secret passage in a house near the gate of the mansion according to Davi. It seemed the secret passage was different from the other passages because Alex could see many energy signs underground.
However, he paid no heed because their cultivation was too low, so they weren't ambushers. Following Davi through the underground passage for a few minutes, they found a thick wooden door at the end of the corridor.
Rio and Rena had been standing there for a long time, waiting for them to arrive.
Alex checked their expressions to see if they had any objections about him going inside this trial. After all, Rio was supposed to be the one to enter.
Luckily, he found not a single clue about their dissatisfaction. Rena was completely fine to begin with, and Alex had blown her pride away with the way he handled the matter. As for Rio, he already knew the fact that he couldn't be compared to Kai.
In fact, Davi had arrived at the same conclusion as Song Ping regarding Firia's matter in the tower. Since Alex had given the chance to Firia, he must be powerful enough to consider such a blessing as something that could be easily given away.
If such a person would help them recover something they needed, he had no qualms. Like his father, it was better to see the family's benefit instead of clinging to his pride.
Both of them cupped their hands and greeted Alex politely. It seemed they had a talk in the past week concerning the previous matter. Even the way they talked was so polite. "Greetings, Mister Alexander Sirius."
Davi glanced at them and nodded. "I know that you can't trust us, but I don't prepare any ambush to get you. You can even check the area around to see whether I am lying or not."
Alex shook his head. "I have checked them… There is no place that one can take advantage anyway. However, I will still ask the two of them to guard the gate. I hope you don't mind, right Patriarch Davi?"
"Of course." Davi nodded before taking out a black token with red patterns. "This is the token to enter our secret place. Only the person who holds this token will be able to enter, and we only have a single token."
Alex nodded and took the token before looking at the gate and beyond it.
"Hmm…" Alex paused for a moment, glancing at left and right. "There are many rank 8 Arrays in this place. However, it seems there is even a stronger one. Although it's still a low level, this array is a Divine Array, or you can say a rank 9 array. Though I can still see a few broken arrays in the area…"
Davi could only sigh. Everything was laid on the table in front of Alex.
"You are absolutely correct. Many arrays broke when the world transitioned and abandoned its God Rank Experts. However, I don't know how much it is true because of the lack of record." Davi shook his head.
"Fair enough." Alex nodded without much interest. He already knew this world used to be a Divine World where many God Rank Experts resided.
"There is no problem with the Special Realm itself since we have entered more than ten times." Davi shook his head, assuring him once again.
"I know. I have checked the arrays myself, and they are quite stable from what I can see. The only problem will be how much I can spend in this place."
"There is no time limit basically. You can stay as long as you want until the owner kicks you. Many Patriarchs used this chance to increase their cultivation, including me. Rio is supposed to experience the same, but everything will be resolved if you manage to get the technique for us."
Alex glanced at him for a few seconds and nodded. "I will do my best."
Davi then waved his hand, activating the arrays and the door.
Alex watched the door opening itself from inside. It sent Spiritual Energy as if asking him to come in. He was the holder of the token, so obviously, he felt the surge of the Spiritual Energy.
'It's already rare enough for the patriarchs to enter this place… It seems the Spiritual Energy inside is very dense, rivaling the one in the Ancient Ruin… I might be able to enter 3-Star if not 4-Star in this place depending on how long I stay inside.' Alex thought and sighed. Since the Ancestor was still there, he doubted he could practice for a long time since he wasn't a part of the Ancient Blue Family.
He shook his head and stepped forward, entering the barrier while raising his token. The token absorbed the barrier energy for him, letting him through.
He took another glance at the barrier filled with misty fog before getting his resolve again and walking inside.
'Jeanne, Great Elder Viola, I am going.'
'Yes!' Both of them replied at the same time while observing his condition to ensure he wasn't hurt.
After Alex entered, Davi waved his hand again and locked Alex inside. "The ancestor should be able to open the door from the inside… As much as I want to accompany you here, I am unable to do it because of many matters in the family. For this, I will have Rio and Rena to accompany you."
They furrowed their eyebrows, looking at this smart man. He even dared to use his son and daughter as a guarantee.
Even so, they didn't lower their guard down and let Davi walk away to handle his business.
…
Inside the mist, Alex looked left and right to check his surroundings before the token glowed.
