Chapter 644 Solving the Three Races' Problem
After collecting the Blood Gem, Alex asked Anna and the others to stay here to see who actually came to this place first. He wanted to see whether they would become hostile, want the Blood Pills, or come for another reason. He didn't wish to miss any potential enemies that might suddenly stab him from his back.
Alex went back to the special realm alone since all the spirits would participate in the observation while killing some monsters nearby. At the same time, Sherry, Kyle, and Stina wished to increase their strength to make sure they were ready for the fight two weeks from now.
Having finished all of his business in this place, Alex used his Teleportation Array to go to the Cursed Forest.
'I just got out of this place a few days ago, and I need to go back right now.' Alex muttered as he remembered the gloomy atmosphere inside. He wondered if his eyes still needed to adjust the darkness again after this time. 'I only need to give this Blood Gem and solve the barrier. It won't take too long since I have understood the basic principle of the barrier.'
Alex waved his hand, and a gate opened. He already came back a few times, so he didn't waste any time and entered the realm. The uneven branches and the gloomy sky greeted him again.
The Gathering Array he drew almost a year ago was still here.
Alex ignored the array for the time being and turned left, walking a few meters until he found a stone hut behind the woods. He couldn't help but smile to see this still standing. Yet, he waved his hand, and the stone began to crack. If he wished to erase something, he would certainly demolish this building first.
The pile of rubbles was thrown away, and every tool inside was extinguished by his fire. Alex glanced at the white sheet and some pillows and shook his head while smiling.
The arrays were next. Destroying his own arrays wasn't that difficult since he only needed to sweep it with his Pure Fire, completely burning the ground. These four arrays had served their functions.
Alex couldn't help but wonder whether he should update his Special Realm with rank 7 Arrays and meet Rose again, but quickly shook his head. It was better not to see Rose for the time being. The current situation forced Rose to develop her power quicker than ever, so he rather sacrificed the time to give her a better future.
The process only took a few minutes before Alex headed to the monolith. He observed this white stone and muttered to himself, "Now… I need to see how I can break this array. First of all, I can simply remove the array since this won't be used anymore as soon as the three races leave this place, so I think I can break it.
"In any case, I can solve this quickly since I don't need to alter or whatsoever. But the three races will be found out if this barrier disappears." Alex thought for a moment and decided. "I can make a token to destroy this barrier. With some little tweaking, this token can be used from the outside. The only problem is the three races, especially Zekhram, Atlas, and Igor, might be suspicious and think I might be lying…"
Every answer got their own problems, and Alex was genuinely confused with this situation. "I can ask the three leaders about this, right? But I don't want to go back and forth… I can trust them a bit, but I still can't see them as an ally. If possible, I want to hand the Blood Gem and solution before leaving the place as soon as possible."
Alex contemplated for a minute and shook his head. "I need to see myself first in this picture before thinking about their satisfaction. In this case, I will make a token that can erase the barrier. There are two barriers right now. The outside one that keeps any beings other than humans is easy to solve. But the one that is connected to the Space World is hard.
"It requires me to connect the two worlds first, or maybe build an array that is connected to that place. Using that array, I can make this entire array erased from this place, and the barrier that traps them will disappear. The energy that lingers around him will burst to the outside, and it's enough to make everyone on this continent feel it.
"I feel like the situation will turn chaotic. However, they will be able to leave with their Spaceship anytime, so people can only stare at them with confusion. Even if there is a small confrontation, it should be resolved simply by the three leaders." Alex felt that this was the best thing he could do for them and for him.
He began wandering around the area to confirm that each monolith had the same symbols to make sure no symbols will stay after the purge of his token.
After confirming all of them were the same, Alex began altering the monolith a little bit, creating a few symbols and extending the array to the barrier surface. Without a restriction, he could simply go through and draw it from outside. He took out a blood bottle and smeared it on the surface to mark where the place they could use his token to break the barrier. At the same time, he didn't forget to add a few circles as if it was a practice target.
The altering and linking process only took him three hours before Alex started making the token break this open. He then glanced back to the tree and sighed. "I will probably need two days to work on this… It takes too much time, but the Fire God Clan is still within two weeks, so I'm fine."
Alex proceeded with the altering process for the portal tree and made sure that the token could destroy every single array on this tree and teleported them in one piece.
Luckily, this process took slightly faster than his prediction as he finished in one and a half days. After the key was also created, Alex decided to recover his Spiritual Energy first before going to Atlas's palace.
"Welcome! It's been a few months since our last meeting, and to think you have become a 3-Star Martial Monarch, this Atlas feels ashamed." Atlas said in his usual pacifying tone.
Alex nodded and greeted him back. "I have finished my job. However, thinking that there might be some ridiculous movement from the human outside, I make the key to break it completely when you place it there as to prevent your races from being found out."
Atlas furrowed his eyebrows for a moment before realizing Alex's real intention. "To be honest, that is a good idea. I shall trust your judgment in this."
Alex had prepared several arguments to convince Atlas but was surprised by how cooperative Atlas was. He only said the first reason, and Atlas already complied… This was insane for Alex, wondering how his action wasn't actually reflecting his title. Yet, he couldn't shake the reason for this was Nelson.
Nelson had several occasions where he could talk with Atlas, and he acted as if he knew everything about them. Alex couldn't help but think that Nelson might have convinced Atlas and the others before they actually discussed many matters.
He ended up shaking his head, thinking it should be fine since Nelson meant no harm. He thought for a bit before taking out the Blood Gem.
"This… is our Blood Gem." Astonishment appeared on Atlas's face before Alex used his Spiritual Energy to hand it to Atlas.
"I have finished our agreement." Alex nodded.
Atlas then took out five huge stones with many blue lines inside it. All the five stones looked very identical, whether in their size, blue lines pattern, and the energy. "This is what I have promised you."
Alex checked the stones and nodded his head, activating the rock with his Spiritual Energy. The stone that was lying on the floor glowed and gradually floated in the air.
"You can check them right now." Atlas nodded with a smile as he pointed his finger at the first stone to the fifth stone. "There was a single line that was different."
Having knowledge about runes, Alex spotted the difference. It was quite a complex line, but it simply marked the stone series. "I should be able to teleport according to the stones, right? How can I control where I want to go?"
"It's simple. You can try activating one stone, and I'm sure someone as wise as you will understand it."
Alex furrowed his eyebrows and placed his hands on the stone, infusing his Spiritual Energy inside. Suddenly, he felt there was a little knowledge that stormed inside his brain, asking him where he wished to go. Alex didn't know how to control it, so he tried to channel his Spiritual Energy inside his mine to the fourth choice.
Before he knew it, he was already several meters away from his original position. He looked at the Rune Stone in front of him and realized he had understood how to use this thing. However, he couldn't deny that he wished to go to every single continent right now and place all these stones there to make his travel easier.
Alex tried it a few times until he was one hundred percent sure he had enough control to do it.
"It seems you have mastered it." Atlas nodded with a smile after observing Alex for a couple of minutes. "Do you want to ask something?"
Alex pondered and shook his head. "I don't have a single question right now. Instead, I need to hand one more thing… Actually, two."
Two tokens appeared on his hands. The first one was a wooden one with many symbols inscribed on it. The second one looked like it was made of gold and held a more powerful array inside.
"The first token is to solve the problem about you not being able to get closer to the portal tree. I am willing to test this token to make sure I'm not lying to you." Alex said before creating his Teleportation Array before asking Atlas's opinion. He teleported a few times until he arrived in front of the barrier, specifically at the blood mark he left earlier. "You can place the token right on this blood spot and Bam! The barrier will crumble."
Atlas was a bit unsure whether to do it or now. Due to Nelson's explanation, he realized there was no need to doubt Alex's sincerity. However, the aforementioned person wished to show his sincerity, so he felt it was a bit rude if he didn't accept this arrangement.
He raised the token and placed it on the bloody surface and…
*Crack!*
Cracks began to appear on the barrier's surface, revealing many symbols inside the barrier. It crumbled slowly but surely to the ground, and every piece was like a joy that invaded Atlas's heart.
He had been waiting for too long and finally grasped it in front of his eyes.
Alex had no change of expression as he took out and handed it to him. "The second token has the same principle. On the tree, you can find the place where you can put the card. I do need to remind you again to prevent you from using it unless you are really ready to go home as soon as the barrier breaks. After all, it will send a sudden Spiritual Energy to the continent… I don't know whether it can reach the other continents, but it will surely reach everyone on this continent. To have a smooth journey, I hope you break the barrier at the last moment possible."
"Don't worry. We are going to go home after several thousand years. We won't be too reckless this time." Atlas nodded before mysteriously looking at him as if he didn't know whether it was a lie or a truth.
Alex then nodded and walked to the portal. "I'm going there."
"Thank you. Really Thank you." Atlas bowed his head, genuinely thanking him. "We won't forget about this forever."
