Chapter 1128 Acquaintance
After arriving in their room, Sullivan came out and looked around to check if there was something that could potentially leak any information about them.
Meanwhile, Alex looked around, greeted by the living room filled with both couches and tables, and walked through them, heading straight to the living room. "There are five rooms inside. It's quite big."
"That's why I am suggesting this place." Firia smiled and rested on the couch.
Alex, on the other hand, walked toward the window and looked outside, getting a view of the town. He then turned around and looked at the elevator that brought them here. "To think there is a personal elevator, I am impressed."
"Hahaha. It's amazing, right? Even I don't know how it works since normal construction logic doesn't apply to this structure." Firia laughed.
Alex shrugged. "We did teleport once."
"I see." She nodded with a serious expression before leaning on the couch, relaxing her body. "Still, you don't need anything, William?"
"Not really." He shook his head.
"Really? How about I order a beauty to come here? One for Sullivan as well." Firia smirked, teasing them.
"Please don't say such a joke, Milady. Or His Majesty will be the one getting into trouble." William scratched the back of his head while chuckling together with Sullivan, knowing they would probably send the women to Alex either way.
Firia shrugged. "And what are you going to do next? We will probably go back and forth between this room and the refining place. Of course, there is a need to get an identity for Alex."
"When do you want to do it?" Alex asked, thinking that it was probably better not to waste any time.
"It's up to you. I'm ready whenever you're ready."
"Then, how about now? I want to check the refining room too."
"Sure. We can go after Sullivan finishes his job. After all, there is no way these two will let us go unprotected." Firia sighed. "I'm thankful though."
"Haha." Alex laughed and waited for Sullivan. The moment he finished, he returned to Firia's shadow as William followed them again to the testing area.
They soon reached that floor. It turned out that the place was also crowded.
"The Pill Tower is issuing a universal badge for Alchemist that can be used for identification in every single world that knows about this Pill World. That's why they want this badge. Though, there is supposed to be little to no people that will sign up since it's the highest level."
Alex nodded in understanding. "Sure thing."
They entered the testing hall and found many counters with many alchemists trying to get into this place.
To avoid any problem, Firia took out her badge and put it on her clothes as she led the way.
The people who noticed her quickly made way for her.
"Look. That's the highest grade of Alchemist. Who is she?"
"Don't you know? She is Firia Merona."
"Eulja's Genius Alchemist?"
"That's right."
"Then who is the young man beside her? She seems to be walking behind him."
"I don't know. Maybe a high-ranking person from Eulja?"
Although Alex's identity had been spread all over the universe, unless they came from a big influence with enough information to even tell everything to the cannon fodders, there was no way they would recognize Alex even without his disguise.
However, unlike Alex, William was still known to a few.
"Is that Eulja's Center Guardian, William?"
"Why is he here? Is he protecting the young man?"
"No, no. It must be that Firia Merona. We need to search for more information about that young man."
"That's right."
All of them looked hesitant because someone Firia followed would surely be a person of high status. There was no way they dared to offend this kind of person.
The two walked without a care of their surroundings, heading straight to the counter that seemed to be handling the process of Nine Pointed Star Badge.
Firia suddenly walked faster and caught up with Alex the moment she found a middle-aged man who was watching the counter. "Ah, you are Mister Endo. How are you?"
"Oh? You are Little Firia. It's been a while since you are here. How come you are here? There is no way you are going to visit me, right?"
"Of course not." Firia shamelessly admitted it before turning to Alex. "This is Mister Endo. The one who processed my Alchemist Rank. He is a fair guy, so there's no way someone will create trouble for you."
Alex nodded and looked at Endo with a smile. "Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you. May I know your name? Since Little Firia, who is the same rank as us, actually brought you here, you must be someone important, right?"
"You truly don't know him, Mister Endo?" Firia tilted her head in confusion. "When was the last time you followed news about the universe?"
"I am not sure. Ten years, I think? I was too occupied with my refining skill, so I didn't have time. This is literally the second day since I came out."
"No wonder." She shook her head helplessly before saying, "Anyway, this is Alexander Sirius, my husband."
"Alexander Sirius? Why do I feel like I have heard that name somewhere?" Endo closed his eyes for a second before scanning his appearance for real. Suddenly, an image flashed in his mind. It was a very old image, but everything matched perfectly with the current one. His golden hair and eyes, the aura of a fighter… Everything.
"The Spirit God?" Endo instinctively stood up, cupped his hand, and bowed politely. "That was rude of me. It's not my intention to be rude to you, Your Excellency, the Spirit God."
Alex waved his hand as if telling him it wasn't a big deal. "It's fine. I don't like formality anyway. As long as I don't get into trouble, let's just chill."
"Ahaha, I understand. Still, it's my honor to see you."
"Likewise." Luckily, Alex managed to see it coming and used his Sound Insulation Array to prevent his shout from informing people and made things worse. Although he didn't bother to hide his identity, it didn't mean he wanted to become the center of attention, so treatment like this was necessary.
"I see. So you are the wife of the Spirit God." Endo looked at Firia helplessly. "No wonder."
"Hehe." Firia stopped from giving him information about how they met or something along the lines.
"May I know for what reason you come here? I will try to help you solve it."
"He is going to take the test." She smiled.
"What? Test? Okay, I will arrange the test. By the way, what is his level? I will ask the person in charge to arrange it immediately."
"You are the person in charge, you know." Firia chuckled, hinting at Alex's Alchemy Skill.
"What did you say?" Endo dropped his jaw and looked at Alex with a dumbfounded expression. His face became pale as he never thought that the Spirit God actually became an Alchemist. This became even more ridiculous when he remembered that the Spirit God was never an Alchemist to begin with.
"Yes. I am going to do it. For the test, I'm prepared to make White Ash Pill." Alex smiled, confirming what she said.
"White Ash Pill… The only pill in high demand for alchemists, but always short in supply." Endo gasped.
"I understand. I will arrange it immediately. Please follow me." Endo nodded politely before turning around, asking someone to take over his place. He then guided Alex to another room where there was a huge Alchemy Pot there with a few chairs.
Firia smiled and explained. "This place is the testing room. You will be judged by five people, including the one in charge. The requirement is to make a High Rank 9 Pill. You need a pill that can be split into three in one refining. As long as you can make two of them in high quality, you are good to go."
"I see." Alex nodded with a smile.
"Wait a minute, Little Firia… If I am not wrong, you have a Sacrificial Fire from a Pure Element, right? That…" Endo realized something and looked at Alex as he took a few step backs, looking at a monster. There was no doubt the source of her fire came from him. In other words, the Spirit God had a Pure Fire.
"Hehe. Cool, right?" She smirked.
"And with you coming here and taking this test, are you going to participate in the tournament?" Endo asked with a pale face.
"Yes."
"I see. This will be a clash between two Pure Fire."
"Geh. That guy comes here again?"
"Although his talent is a bit behind yours, he is good too. That's why he has become the winning candidate for this battle. In the last competition, you were a runner up and he was third, right?"
"Yes. He just barely reached third because of an inhumane act." She shrugged.
"Well, it's an official Alchemy Technique, so we can't really judge it. Two elders from here are using that technique too, so it's inevitable." Endo shook his head helplessly. "But since you are joining this battle, it's going to be the most hyped competition in the last one hundred years."
"Ah, he is not going to refine the pill. I am." Firia waved her hand while correcting his words.
"Eh?" Endo was once again stunned, wondering if he heard it right. After all, she indirectly implied that Alex was also well-versed in array.
He was one of the rarest types of people in Alchemy World. The one who was good at Alchemy and Array at the same time, allowing him to use both of them to make a better pill and array.
And from the way he looked and his energy, he seemed to be around Firia's age. If he thought that the Spirit God would use Sword and Spear at the same time, he truly had overturned the common sense of people. After all, the one before him was a Rank 4 God, far stronger than Firia, who was rumored to be one of the greatest geniuses of all time.
Firia understood what was in his head as she raised her forefinger and put it in front of her mouth. "Shh. Don't tell anyone about his identity, alright? Let those who know him recognize him but just keep everything a secret for the time being. We don't want trouble, you see."
"I-I understand." He repeatedly nodded his head while sweating. "I will call the other elders. You can prepare the ingredients first. After that, please leave the room or watch from the side."
"I already know the procedure, so you don't need to worry about us." Firia waved her hand with a smile.
Endo ultimately nodded and left the room in a hurry.
Meanwhile, Firia started explaining what he should do in this test before going to the side to watch the elders' reactions.
