Fuck!!!! I'm Having The Alpha Princess's Baby.
Chapter 461: A Meeting With The Alpha King (2)
Faye had no idea how to react. She sat there, staring at the Alpha King in disbelief, still struggling to process what she had just learned. The very man everyone had warned her to run and hide from knew her true identity. Worse, he was one of the Alphas responsible for destroying her mother’s homeland, slaughtering ninety per cent of its population without sparing anyone.
And he knew what she was.
Why had he never come after her? If he had known the truth all along, why had he allowed her to live when he had helped wipe out her people?
"Since you know what I am, why are you not hunting me? Is it because I am in a relationship with your daughter...?" Faye asked boldly.
Fear crept through her body, but she refused to let it show. She had spent enough time hearing about how terrifying the Alpha King was, and she wasn’t about to sit there trembling before him. Alphas were supposed to fear her, not the other way around.
"You having relations with my little Princess has nothing to do with my reasons for not having you killed nine years ago..." the Alpha King replied calmly.
9 years.
Goosebumps spread across Faye’s skin as his words sank in. She had expected him to discover her identity eventually, but she had never imagined that he had known since she was so young. The little man sitting across from her had spent nine years knowing exactly what she was without making a single move against her.
How was that even possible?
"You see, I was only helping out a friend, an Alpha King, a long time ago. A witch had cursed him, saying that the next reincarnation of the Moon Wolf would be his downfall. He grew worried, and since your clan was the only one capable of reincarnating the Moon Wolf, he summoned me and a few other Alphas. We stormed into that land and killed every single soul, men, women, and children alike. Despite all that, fate can never be changed. When I saw you with my little Princess that very day, I immediately knew what you were. I refused to tamper with fate and decided to wait for it to play its role..."
Faye stared at him, her mouth slightly open as she struggled to find the right words.
He had just admitted to massacring an entire clan because of one soul.
One person.
An entire population had been slaughtered because a witch predicted that someone would eventually bring an Alpha King to his downfall. Rather than wait to see whether the prophecy would come true, they had decided to eliminate everyone who could possibly give birth to the person they feared.
And even after all that bloodshed, they had failed to change fate.
"Do you know that those survivors are out to take your heart and the other Alphas’ hearts for what you all did?" Faye asked, finally breaking her silence.
"The survivors..." the Alpha King repeated, showing no surprise at the thought of people seeking revenge against him.
"Faye Grande, this world is a battlefield. One way or another, people die every single day. Our deaths are always inevitable. Even immortals die eventually..."
Faye studied his face, searching for any hint of regret, but his expression remained difficult to read.
"What if I answer their cries and do what they want?" she asked.
"If you are going to do it, make sure you don’t make the foolish mistake we did, because one survivor can wipe out the entire world."
Faye’s expression shifted slightly.
"So you are telling me that if I kill those Alphas, including you, their families will come for me...?"
"You have your family. They are what you should think about first. Killing those Alphas will create a war, and your children will be the ones who suffer from it all. I don’t mind you killing them. I will support you if you want to, but if you try to lay a hand on me, you will not succeed," the Alpha King declared firmly.
Faye snorted under her breath.
The little man certainly had plenty of confidence in himself. He was practically giving her permission to seek revenge against the other Alphas while making it clear that he considered himself untouchable.
Still, there was something else she needed to know.
"I heard a funny story recently. Your Council had a hand in my mother’s death. If something bad were to happen to me, would I become your enemy?" Faye asked.
She wasn’t asking out of curiosity alone. She and Kiara were planning to destroy the Council, and before taking any further steps, she needed to understand where the Alpha King stood. If he viewed the Council’s destruction as an attack against him and his pack, she could end up creating another enemy without even realizing it.
The Alpha King took a deep breath before rising from his chair. He adjusted his suit, smoothing out the fabric as though their conversation had been nothing more than an ordinary discussion.
"Their disappearance will mean nothing to me and my pack. As long as my family is complete, I do not care..."
He headed towards the door, leaving Faye to consider his answer. Just before stepping out, he spoke again without turning around.
"Faye Grande, I will be waiting for you to become a Kings and be part of my family..."
Then he left.
Faye remained in her seat, staring at the doorway. Only when she was certain he was gone did she finally release the breath she had been holding.
A small cough escaped her as she pushed herself out of the chair and began pacing around the room, trying to settle her nerves.
For a moment, she had genuinely believed this would be the end of her. She had been sitting across from one of the Alphas responsible for destroying her mother’s homeland, a man who had known her identity for nine years, yet she had somehow walked away without a fight.
Instead of threatening to kill her or ordering someone to hunt her down, he had told her he would support her if she wanted revenge against the other Alphas.
What the hell was going on?
