Princess, still holding her girlfriend’s hand, dragged her out of the party hall.

Princess took Faye to a room in the hotel. The room was a deluxe suite. The door closed with a quiet click, shutting out the loud noise of the party as Princess let out a long, heavy wave of air, her shoulders finally dropping from their tight stance.

"Nice room. Is this yours?" Faye said, admiring it. It was different from the one they had spent time in last time.

She sat down on the chair beside the bed, grabbed a green grape, and tossed it into her mouth. Her teeth bit down into the sweet fruit with a soft pop, her lungs pulling in a simple, easy breath as she leaned back against the cushion.

"Okay, babe. I’m all ears," Faye said. She crossed her legs, her pulse beating steady and unbothered while her eyes locked onto her girlfriend’s tense posture.

Princess just stood in front of her girlfriend, staring at her with judging eyes.

"Please tell me you did not say anything that relates to your wolf," Princess said. Her voice sounded worried. Her grandfather calling Faye fascinating was no coincidence.

"I did not say anything about me being the Moon Wolf...." Faye answered plainly, shaking her head while her chest expanded in a calm, reassuring wave.

"Please don’t say those words here. There are many wolves in this hotel." Princess warned immediately, stepping closer while her voice dropped into an urgent whisper, her lungs pumping out short, anxious gasps.

"Okay, Mama. I won’t say anything. But feed my curiosity... I’m starving. I want to know why your grandfather, the Alpha of Oakland, is a young looking boy. He is supposed to be older than you, my brother, even older than my sensei. And I am sure he is not a dwarf." Faye said, then stared at her girlfriend from head to toe. Her eyes narrowed in pure confusion, her pulse thumping a fast, curious rhythm while her breath hitched sharply.

"I remember you saying your Alpha genes are strong and... you look tall, sexy in that dress by the way... Please tell me our pups are going to be tall just like you." Faye added, leaning forward on her knees while her lungs pulled in a quick draft of room air.

"Faye, of course they are going to be tall. And even if they don’t grow tall, we will still love them the way they are." Princess said, shaking her head with a faint, affectionate sigh as her chest rose in a gentle rhythm.

"Yeah, yeah... I love them. They are mine. I am just curious, and a lot is on my mind," Faye said before grabbing an apple. She rubbed the shiny red skin against her apron, her jaw setting thoughtfully while her heart beat a strong, steady cadence.

She was certain the grandfather’s body was that of a child. His face, his voice... young. The memory of his smooth skin and small hands made her throat tighten with strange disbelief.

"My grandfather was never like that. For almost a decade now, he has been the size of a twelve-year-old. Only the family, the council, the Chief, and his closest allies, I guess, are aware of his condition. That is the reason he barely makes public appearances. Adam has been the one acting as his representative," Princess explained.

"I’m still not getting it," Faye said. She bit into the crisp apple with a loud crunch, her breath blowing out through her nostrils in an impatient puff.

"What are you not getting? I just told you the truth."

"How on earth is he like that? Ten years ago, he must have been around fifty, so he should have looked older. Maybe not white hair or a wrinkled face, but seasoned. Is he a Night Walker?" Faye whispered. Her voice lowered to a raspy murmur, her heart skipping a quick, erratic beat while her eyes widened.

"No, no... that doesn’t make sense. If he were a Night Walker, he would have stopped aging and remained fifty. But he is younger, like he went back to his youth... younger than his youth. Oh my goodness... did he find the Fountain of Youth and bathe in it?" She gestured wildly with her apple, her lungs heaving with rapid, energetic breaths as her mind raced across a dozen crazy theories.

Princess simply stood there, watching her girlfriend come up with one theory after another. A soft huff of amusement escaped her lips, her heart rate steadying as she listened to the fast, passionate words spilling out.

"No, Faye. There is no such thing as a Fountain of Youth." Princess corrected smoothly, rolling her eyes with a faint smile while taking a simple, easy breath.

"Then how on earth is he younger than you, his grand daughter?"

"I don’t know, Faye. No one has ever questioned the Alpha."

"Well, I am going to question him the next time I see him."

"Please don’t do that. I’m begging you."

Princess walked to the closet, brought out a blue dress similar to the one she was wearing, and handed it to her girlfriend.

"Put that on so we can go back to the party." Princess instructed, pointing down at the dress while her heart beat an organized cadence.

"I wish I could, but I still have like one hour of community service left." Faye grumbled, running her fingers over the silk while her lungs let out a disappointed huff.

"You’re done for today. Your attendance has been cleared. I made sure of it." Princess revealed smoothly, a confident smirk touching her lips as her chest expanded with a proud wave.

"That is my baby girl. But I’m not going back to that party." Faye said, setting the apple down on the nightstand while her breathing slowed down.

"Why?" Princess asked, her brows furrowing into a confused line while her pulse gave a sudden, puzzled leap.

"It’s filled with strangers who have class, and it’s kind of unappealing." Faye answered flatly, her posture shifting into a defensive slouch.

"How so?" Princess pressed, taking a step closer while her lungs pulled in a deep, inquisitive draft.

"I feel like I don’t fit in among them. Their class is high, and mine is low."

"Since when do you care about class?" Princess questioned, tilting her head while her breath hitched slightly in surprise.

"Ever since I found out this forsaken land cares about class. Your class is higher than mine."

"You’re aware you’re dating an Alpha, right?" Princess pointed out, crossing her arms lightly while her voice stayed firm and grounded.

"I know what I’m dating. She is standing right in front of me, looking appetizing."

"And I am aware of who I’m dating. You have never given a fuck about things around you. Even minutes ago, you didn’t give a shit about the Alpha standing right in front of you. So why give a fuck about the lesser people at the party?" Princess barked back with fierce affection, her posture straightening as her lungs filled with a large, passionate draft of air.

"I feel like I’m not going to be the ideal girlfriend when you introduce me to those stinking rich, classy people." Faye whispered, her chest heaving in a short, vulnerable puff as her hands fidgeted with her apron strap.

"Oh my God... babe..." Princess said as she sat on her girlfriend’s lap and wrapped her arms around her. The sudden warmth of her body pressed firmly against Faye’s chest, her lungs expanding in a deep, emotional wave while her heart hammered with pure love against Faye’s ribs.

"I don’t care what people think about my girlfriend. I want to show you off because I am a proud Alpha. I want to show everyone the girl who gave my life meaning. When my mom died and the Omega classmate I hated became my halo... my divine light... I wanted to live in a dark place forever, but you came down to me like an angel, smiled, and gave me a hug, telling me that you were going to be my family from now on," Princess said, remembering her darkest days.

She spoke with raw, intense emotion, her voice trembling slightly while her breathing came in fast, heavy waves, her arms squeezing Faye’s shoulders tighter.

She couldn’t cope with the loss of her mother and her papa, who had gone missing. She climbed into a well, hoping to spend the rest of her life there, only for a crazy girl to jump into the well and land right on top of her.

That day was the day Princess fell in love with Faye.

"That’s a nice story... Is it real?" Faye asked softly, her arms wrapping around Princess’s waist while her lungs pulled in a gentle, overwhelmed draft of air.

"Yes, Faye. It is. I still don’t know why you don’t have your memories." Princess answered, leaning her forehead against Faye’s while her breath brushed warm against her skin.

"I will remember one day." Faye promised, her heart beating a strong, steady rhythm that matched her girlfriend’s pace.

"I hope so. I can’t wait for that day." Princess whispered, her chest rising in a slow, peaceful wave as she relaxed into the embrace.

Princess kissed her girlfriend. Their lips met in a sweet, lingering press, Faye’s breath locking sharply in her chest while her pulse exploded into a wild, burning sprint.

Faye’s hand searched for the zipper on Princess’s gown. Her fingers slid up the delicate fabric near her back, her breathing turning short and hot against Princess’s cheek.

"No, don’t..." Princess stopped her hand. She pulled back slightly, her hand catching Faye’s wrist while her chest heaved in quick, breathless puffs, her eyes flashing with a playful warning.

"It took me hours to get ready. I don’t want to spend another hour doing it all over again."

"Hmmmm... What about a little touching?..." Faye pouted, giving Princess puppy eyes.

"Fine... I can redo my makeup. Just don’t unzip my gown." Princess surrendered, a quiet, breathy chuckle escaping her nose as her body melted back down onto Faye’s lap.

The two continued kissing in the quiet room.
