Chapter 282: Chapter 28: Star Badge 4-Star Rating, Dragon Blood Potion, Covered in Divine Armor

He changed his mind about leaving right away and smiled.

"I’ll deal with the Screaming Goblin Tribe in a few minutes. First, I’m going back to the academy to grab some Witchcraft Items."

Flower guessed her master’s intentions and replied cheerfully, "Alright!"

The battle would take place in a complex forest, so the Illusion Demon Cloak rewarded by the academy would come in handy.

The Illusion Demon Clone Technique required three points of Spiritual Strength, so he couldn’t use it for now. But the Mystical Curtain would be perfect for use in the Birch Forest.

Five minutes later, Mo Ning reappeared at the door of the Cabin in the Woods.

Outwardly, he looked no different than before.

Beneath his all-concealing gray robe, however, he was decked out from head to toe in Witchcraft Items.

Beneath the gray robe, he wore a Solid Breastplate.

On the left side of his chest, he wore the Magic Mirror Rose Badge gifted by the Second Level Wizard, Lady Yi Lin. On the right, he wore the Walking into the Painting brooch from the former headmaster, Lord Martin.

Fastened to the center of his chest was the Golden Pen Badge awarded by the Shining Academy, and around his neck hung a Thunder Shadow Leopard Fang Pendant.

On his left hand, he wore the Blast Flame Bracelet he’d received from the second general assessment. On his right, he wore a Spiritual Protection Ring, a gift from some Witchcraft Laboratory.

Strapped to his right wrist was the Magic Wand Mine Ruler.

Wizards were accustomed to using a Spiritual Item called a Magic Wand Fixing Strap. It kept the Magic Wand bound to the wrist without hindering hand movement in the slightest. During battle, a mere thought would cause the Magic Wand to fall instantly into their palm.

On his hands, he wore the Casting Gloves Mine Slayer. These casting gloves could change their color and texture to perfectly match his skin, making it look as though he wasn’t wearing them at all.

With the surge in his Spiritual Strength, Mo Ning could now wield these two excellent-Quality items he’d obtained from a Treasure Chest in the Death Mine.

Attached to the inside of his gray robe’s collar was a piece of black cloth—the Illusion Demon Cloak he had just been rewarded.

On his left earlobe was an extremely small stud. It was the Soul-Calming Ear Studs gifted by Princess Phoebe, a rare item that could effectively counter curses.

The Sheepskin Boots on his feet were no ordinary items either. They were an excellent-Quality Witchcraft Item called Wandering Wind, which he had obtained from the fourth general assessment. He now had the ability to master these boots.

Once activated, his body would become as light as the wind, allowing him to not only walk on water but also drift swiftly like a gentle breeze, greatly enhancing his ability to dodge surprise attacks.

He had an additional belt around his waist: the Silver Shield Belt, a reward from the fifth general assessment. Its Quality had also reached the excellent tier.

Once activated, the belt would instantly transform into a Silver Shield he could control at will.

The shield offered extremely strong protection against physical attacks, and its defense against Elemental Attacks was also quite impressive.

Even better, because the Silver Shield was made of a soft Spiritual Material, it could absorb about 10% to 20% of an attack’s force and, at a critical moment, release that stored energy to give the enemy an unpleasant surprise.

It was no exaggeration to describe Mo Ning at that moment as being decked out in Divine Armor.

Even most Third Level Apprentices couldn’t hope to match the quantity or Quality of his Witchcraft Items.

Flower’s intangible gaze lingered on her master for a long while. Her voice was filled with unconcealed amusement and a faint, almost imperceptible trace of astonishment.

"Mr. Mo Ning, I must say, I can see the rainbow of light radiating from you from a mile away."

The ’light’ the Artificial Soul mentioned wasn’t ordinary light visible to the naked eye, but the glow emanating from the Spiritual Power contained within the Witchcraft Items.

Using certain Witchcraft, one could observe the spiritual radiance emanating into the environment.

Her words were both a joke and a well-intentioned warning.

Mo Ning nodded and said softly, "You’re right. I do need to find an item that can conceal my spiritual radiance. Otherwise, I’ll be the primary target for a focused assault the moment I step onto the battlefield."

Dawa’s Grocery List did have similar items for sale, with prices generally ranging from 1,000 to 1,500 Black Tower Points, which was nothing to him.

However, they were all common-Quality items. Given his current standards, he wouldn’t even give them a second look.

"Let’s go now," Mo Ning commanded.

The words had barely left his lips.

A small, exquisite metal dragonfly, about the length of an adult’s thumb, suddenly flew out from under the eaves of the cabin.

This was clearly the Flying Puppet that carried Flower’s consciousness.

Its wings beat incredibly fast, yet made not the slightest sound.

"Please follow me."

The Artificial Soul didn’t vibrate the air to produce sound; instead, the voice was sent directly into her master’s consciousness.

The metal dragonfly flashed and appeared more than twenty meters away between two birch trees, without even stirring a whisper of wind.

Mo Ning’s pupils contracted.

He instantly understood that this must be a puppet personally crafted by Lord Martin. Its power was likely extraordinary.

Of course, he didn’t expect the puppet to help him fight. It was obvious that Lord Martin must have placed extremely strict restrictions on it.

Mo Ning took a step with his right foot, silently activating the Illusion Demon Cloak.

With a soft PUFF, a black shadow flashed past, completely enveloping his body.

The black shadow rapidly blurred before dissolving into thin air.

His Sheepskin Boots landed on a blade of grass, which didn’t bend in the slightest.

Stepping into the untamed wilderness for the first time, Mo Ning took every possible precaution, not hesitating to expend a bit of Spiritual Power to do so.

With a thought, he activated the pendant on his chest. A spectral Thunder Shadow Leopard leaped forth.

Mo Ning was about to command the Leopard Shadow to follow the metal dragonfly when he suddenly froze.

The Leopard Shadow had turned its head on its own, its vertical pupils glinting with a spectral light.

He was somehow able to understand the meaning it was trying to convey: ’There’s something nearby!’

He naturally understood. The ’presence’ the Leopard Shadow was referring to wasn’t the dragonfly, but a living creature.

But what was more surprising was the fact that the Leopard Shadow had turned its head at all.

Mo Ning blinked and murmured, "Flower, you were right. The Leopard Fang Pendant really has awakened a remnant soul."
