Chapter 430: Chapter 223: End of the Premiere

"Brother Cheng!"

"Wah Zai!"

"Tingfeng!"

Gasps of surprise echoed across Wada Square. The shouts weren’t from the reporters, but from the onlookers who had gathered after hearing that Deng Chao, Xiaolu, and others had appeared at the square.

No one had expected the guests attending the premiere to be this shocking. Even the titans of the Xiangjiang film industry were here.

The reporters, snapping out of their daze, raised their cameras and began frantically taking pictures again.

"What’s going on? What in the world is happening? How did even Brother Cheng and Wah Zai end up at the premiere for Wu Jing’s movie? What kind of clout does he have?!"

"Tell me about it! I thought Sun Li, Deng Chao, and Xiaolu were the peak, but I never imagined the grand finale would be this explosive!"

Many of the more astute reporters knew this premiere was bound to set the entire entertainment industry ablaze. For the reporters outside, the only way to get a close-up interview was to get inside the theater.

Those who had previously messaged their bosses for entry passes immediately pulled out their phones and called their superiors.

They had only one main objective: get an entry pass by any means necessary.

Many reporters were also starting to understand why Wu Jing’s promotional team had only sent inside invitations to the top-tier media outlets. He had the confidence to back it up!

Whether it was Brother Cheng or Wah Zai, they were living advertisements. The media would naturally flock to them, even at their own expense.

"Huh? How come Brother Cheng and the others aren’t walking the red carpet? Are they waiting for someone?" a confused voice asked.

"Don’t tell me there’s another big shot from the Xiangjiang film industry still in the car?"

"You mean Master Bao? No way. Master Bao barely makes public appearances these days."

"Then what do you think is going on? Could they be waiting for Wu Jing to come out and greet them?"

That comment immediately earned a slew of eye-rolls, and the man who said it, realizing his mistake, just laughed awkwardly.

"Hey, look! Someone else is getting out of the Rolls-Royce!"

At these words, everyone turned their heads toward the entrance of the red carpet. Unfortunately, the crowd was too thick. Between the reporters and the ever-growing number of onlookers, all holding up their phones and filming nonstop, those farther back couldn’t see a thing.

"How is it a young man? There doesn’t seem to be anyone like him in the Xiangjiang film industry."

"Holy shit, am I seeing things? That young man is walking between Brother Cheng and Wah Zai! Could he be the big boss backing Wu Jing?"

On the red carpet, Brother Cheng, Wah Zai, and Tingfeng all smiled and waved to the onlookers on both sides.

The sound of their names, carried by wave after wave of screams, echoed throughout Wada Square. 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂

By the time the group of four had reached the halfway point, several sharp-eyed reporters instantly recognized the young man walking between Brother Cheng and Wah Zai.

"Damn! That’s Chen Feiyu, the Eldest Young Master of the Chen family, one of Xiangjiang’s old money families! No wonder he gets to walk in the middle."

Many reporters unfamiliar with the old money families turned to look at the speaker, curious about the Chen family’s background.

Seeing everyone’s curious gazes, the reporter wasn’t trying to show off and just explained it simply. "You’ve all heard of Xiangjiang’s ten great families, right? Families like the Li family, the Guo family, and the He family, who have accumulated wealth over several generations, are all called old money families."

"And the Chen family is the closest one to breaking into the top ten. Their growth over the past year has been incredibly rapid. It probably won’t be long before they squeeze their way into the list!"

Hearing this, many reporters’ jaws dropped. They never imagined the Chen family’s background was so astounding.

Now it made sense why that young man was walking in the very center.

Soon, Brother Cheng and the others finished walking the red carpet and naturally saw Wu Jing standing at the theater entrance, acting as a greeter.

He was very familiar with Brother Cheng and Wah Zai. As for Tingfeng, it went without saying; their on-screen rivalries in two films had forged an exceptionally strong off-screen bond.

"Brother Cheng, Brother Hua, Tingfeng!" Wu Jing, beaming, shook hands with the three of them.

Brother Cheng and the other two responded with equal enthusiasm.

"Let’s head inside first. It’s not appropriate to stand here and chat," said Chen Feiyu, who had been silent until now.

Since Eldest Young Master Chen had spoken, Brother Cheng and the others all nodded in agreement.

"Uh... why isn’t Wu Jing coming in with us? Don’t tell me there are more people coming?" After taking a few steps, Brother Cheng noticed Wu Jing was still standing at the entrance with no intention of moving.

Walking ahead, Chen Feiyu replied without turning his head, "Wu Jing should be waiting for Young Master Su. I expect he’ll be here soon!"

"Young Master Su?" A flash of astonishment crossed the faces of Brother Cheng and the other two following behind. They exchanged glances and shook their heads, indicating that none of them knew who this Young Master Su was.

As if he’d thought of something, Chen Feiyu slowed his pace and turned to look at the three men. "I’ll introduce you to Young Master Su after the premiere. When that time comes, be respectful."

Chen Feiyu then added, "If you offend Young Master Su, don’t say I didn’t warn you!"

At these words, Brother Cheng and the other two were startled. They all understood that this Young Master Su’s background was anything but ordinary.

Meanwhile, Su Chen was heading toward Wada Square in the Hongqi N701 that Elder Xiao had given him.

As they neared Wada Square, Chen Fei, who was driving, was also taken aback by the scene before them.

As far as the eye could see, there was a dense crowd of people. Moreover, many others in the vicinity were running toward Wada Square.

"Sir, should we still proceed with the red carpet as planned?" Chen Fei asked, turning his head thirty degrees to the side.
