Some netizens were reading a comment one second, only for it to display "Comment unavailable" the next. Everyone immediately understood what was happening.

"Master Shaw is so petty."

"A man at thirty is in his prime. Don’t you get it? How is he old?"

"Wrong! He’s clearly twenty-nine years and *eleven months* old!"

"Hey, commenter above, do you really have to be so precise...?"

"It’s not us. It’s Master Shaw who needs it to be that precise."

"LMAO, I’m starting to suspect the last two commenters are Boss Shaw’s alt accounts."

"From now on, whenever Master Shaw posts, we’ll all just comment that a man at thirty is in his prime. He’ll have an endless stream of comments to delete."

...

Jasper Shaw had just wanted to show off his happy relationship, but he never expected the comments to take such a strange turn.

Now, everyone was just talking about his age.

Hundreds of new comments appeared every time he refreshed. He couldn’t delete them fast enough.

Jasper Shaw kept his head down, his long fingers swiping rapidly across his phone as he handed out seven-day bans to some of the netizens.

Some netizens who saw their comments get deleted didn’t think much of it.

But when they tried to comment again a moment later, they discovered they couldn’t post anything.

It was only then that they belatedly realized they’d been banned.

Netizens: "..."

"Master Shaw, are you that sore of a loser?"

"Haha, what’s going on?"

"Master Shaw isn’t just deleting comments, he’s banning people too. What a sore loser."

"I’m dying! He’s even handing out temporary bans."

"Tsk tsk, looks like he’s gotten the hang of social media. He’s even learned how to ban people."

"To the person above, are you trying to make me laugh to death so you can inherit my credit card debt?"

Jasper Shaw spent over an hour deleting comments, but instead of decreasing, they only multiplied, leaving him feeling helpless.

In the end, he had no choice but to give up.

The comment section—

"Well, looks like Master Shaw is tired."

"Master Shaw has given up."

"You guys should stop saying Boss Shaw is in his prime at thirty. Can’t you see you’re making him unhappy?"

"Exactly, it’s so rude. Can’t you see our President Shaw is upset?"

"The commenter above is so right. President Shaw isn’t even thirty yet this year. We should wait until next month to say he’s in his prime."

Passersby scrolling through social media stumbled upon Jasper Shaw’s post and clicked on it out of curiosity, only to find a bizarrely entertaining comment section.

The more they read, the funnier it became.

Many content creators saw the comment section and immediately turned it into a short video.

As a result, over the next two days, Jasper Shaw went viral on a small scale.

But the man himself couldn’t be happy about it in the slightest.

Jasper Shaw battled the netizens for over an hour, until dusk settled in.

Jasper Shaw, a man who had never known defeat, knew today that he had been utterly bested by these netizens.

He reluctantly put down his phone and walked over to Chloe Sinclair.

An hour had passed, and Chloe Sinclair was still resting.

Because the office lights were on, even with her eyes closed, the young woman’s eyelids would twitch occasionally. Her long, curled lashes cast a soft shadow beneath her eyes.

Perhaps sensing Jasper Shaw’s approach, Chloe Sinclair’s eyes fluttered open.

Seeing it was Jasper Shaw, her large, clear eyes held a trace of confusion.

But she quickly came to her senses.

She glanced out the window. The sky had already grown dark, and the surrounding office buildings were now aglow with colorful lights.

This was Chloe Sinclair’s first time seeing the Emberfall cityscape at night.

Jasper Shaw’s office was on a very high floor, offering a view of many famous landmarks.

The night view was a kaleidoscope of colors. Most of the buildings outside were illuminated with white light, making the entire city a brilliant expanse against the darkness.

After a moment of stunned silence, Chloe Sinclair looked up and asked, "How did it get so late? Did I sleep for a long time?"

Jasper Shaw glanced at the time. "Not really. If you’re still tired, you can rest a bit longer."

’I can’t believe I spent a full two hours deleting comments online.’

’In the past, I would never have done something so pointless.’

"It’s getting late. Grandpa is probably waiting for us at home. We should hurry back."

They had promised to have dinner with Mr. Shaw tonight, so Chloe Sinclair quickly smoothed out her clothes, ready to leave.

"It’s only seven o’clock. Mr. Shaw doesn’t eat until eight, so we have plenty of time."

As he spoke, he and Chloe Sinclair took the elevator down.

Because of today’s incident, the number of security guards had been increased by several dozen. The number of guards at the main entrance alone had more than doubled.

"Those guards at the entrance... they’re not ordinary people, are they?"

Chloe Sinclair glanced over as they were leaving.

She had noticed them earlier, standing ramrod straight like pine trees at the entrance, almost completely motionless. Their whole demeanor made Chloe Sinclair feel they were anything but ordinary.

"They’re all retired veterans, or those who were injured and had trouble finding work."

Chloe Sinclair paused, taken aback by his words.

"The Suttons, too?"

"Yes."

Chloe Sinclair nodded in understanding.

"Then you should probably pay them more. Look how dedicated they are."

’Not every company has security like the Shaw Group.’

’Just the sight of them standing at the entrance is enough to intimidate anyone.’

’No wonder in my last life, some people didn’t dare cause a scene at the company offices and chose to make trouble at the construction sites instead.’

Suddenly, something seemed to occur to Chloe Sinclair, but the memory was fleeting, gone in an instant.

Jasper Shaw was still talking about the guards, but when he realized Chloe hadn’t responded, he frowned.

He looked down, and seeing the pale look on Chloe Sinclair’s face, he grew concerned.

"Sweetheart, what’s wrong? Does your head hurt?"

He suddenly remembered he’d forgotten to turn off the office lights while she was sleeping.

"No." Not wanting Jasper Shaw to worry, Chloe Sinclair composed herself. "I just suddenly felt like I forgot something, but I can’t quite recall what it was."

Chloe Sinclair had always felt her memories of her past life were quite clear, but the fragmented images that just flashed through her mind made her frown.

Seeing her pained expression as she tried to remember, Jasper Shaw looked down at her and said gently, "If you can’t remember, just let it go."

Chloe Sinclair hummed in agreement. "Let’s go."

Just as she said that, they arrived at the underground parking garage.

The garage now had guards on patrol as well, who greeted Jasper Shaw cheerfully when they saw him.

’They seem much more familiar with him than the senior executives at the company.’

Since Ian Winters was working overtime, Zane Jordan was driving again today.

Zane Jordan was silent the entire drive. After dropping them off at the old residence, he drove away.

Chloe Sinclair watched the white Bentley drive away, a flicker of confusion in her eyes.

But Chloe Sinclair didn’t dwell on it. They walked through the old residence’s garden and reached the front door.

The butler was already waiting for them outside the entryway.

"Young Master, Miss Sinclair, the old master has been waiting in the living room for a long time. Dinner will be served shortly."

Jasper Shaw was always courteous to his staff, so he nodded. "Alright. Thank you for your hard work."

With that, he walked into the living room.

Before he could say a word, he saw his grandfather approaching energetically, leaning on his cane.

When the old man reached him, he raised his cane threateningly. "Where’s Chloe? Didn’t you say you two were coming back together?"

Jasper Shaw had a large frame, and when his grandfather glanced past him and saw no one there, he immediately grew anxious.

"What is wrong with you? Didn’t you promise you’d bring Miss Sinclair home?"

Mr. Shaw’s expression soured, and he raised his cane to shoo Jasper out.

"Get out of my sight! Don’t stand here being an eyesore."

As he spoke, he began shoving Jasper toward the door.

Despite his height, Jasper Shaw was actually pushed back several steps by the old man.

Jasper Shaw was speechless.

"Grandpa, what are you doing?"

Suddenly, a soft, gentle voice came from behind Jasper Shaw.

Having grown up in the south, Chloe Sinclair had a slender frame. Standing next to Jasper Shaw, she only reached his shoulder.

So, by standing there, she had been completely hidden behind him.

The old man froze mid-shove, looking in disbelief at the young woman behind Jasper Shaw.

Instantly, his harsh expression softened, his eyes filling with affection. His voice became gentle, as if he were speaking to a precious porcelain doll.

"Chloe, when did you get here? Grandpa didn’t even see you."

Chloe Sinclair found the speed at which Mr. Shaw changed his tune rather amusing.

"I came with Jasper."

The wrinkles on the old man’s face crinkled into a smile. His eyes narrowed, and his tone was cheerful. "Well, what are you standing there for? Come in, come in and sit down."

Then, he shot a glance at Jasper Shaw. "Aren’t you going to get Chloe a glass of water?"

Jasper Shaw felt a sense of resignation.

’I used to be the treasured one when I came home. Now, I’m just a nuisance.’

’If it weren’t for Chloe, Grandpa probably wouldn’t even want me to set foot in the house.’

’Even when I do come back to the old residence, if Grandpa sees I haven’t brought Chloe with me, he’ll always find an excuse to chew me out.’

’Even if he can’t find a real reason, he’ll just invent one.’

’Last time I was here, he even told me I was wrong for stepping through the door with my left foot first.’

...

Though exasperated, Jasper Shaw wasn’t the least bit resentful. He simply acknowledged the command and went to the kitchen to pour a glass of water.

Chloe Sinclair was already quite familiar with the old residence.

When Mr. Shaw heard that Chloe Sinclair would be staying the night, he couldn’t stop smiling.

"I had the butler prepare a room for you. After dinner, I’ll have Jasper Shaw show you to it."

Chloe Sinclair hummed in happy agreement.

Jasper Shaw came out with the water just in time to see the two of them chatting happily.

After he handed a glass of water to his grandfather and another to Chloe, the old man shot him a look.

For some reason, Jasper Shaw felt his grandfather was looking at him as if he were a piece of trouble.

After a few seconds, the old man snorted, his voice full of disdain. "What are you just standing there for? You’re a grown man, can’t you find a seat for yourself? Anyone who didn’t know better would think this old man is bullying you."

Jasper Shaw was speechless.

’Great. I didn’t even say a word, and I still got chewed out.’

Rubbing his nose in resignation, Jasper Shaw found a seat next to Chloe Sinclair.

His grandfather glanced at him again, his eyes filled with even more disdain.

But when he turned to face Chloe Sinclair, his expression was once again full of affection. "Chloe, this old man absolutely loved the New Year’s gifts you sent. I heard your brother and father will be visiting soon, and I heard they enjoy tea. Tomorrow, Grandpa will give you a large canister of Da Hong Pao to take back for them."
