Chapter 248 - Want to See Yiling
Chapter 248: Want to See Yiling
Upon hearing Jian Yunnao’s trembling voice, Jian Yuncheng could guess that Jian Yunnao had seen the video already.
“Have you thought about it?”
The truth had definitely caused a big shock to Jian Yunnao.
As a result, Jian Yunnao needed to be mentally and physically prepared if he were to go and see Jian Yiling. He needed to know what he had to face when he met his sister.
“I thought about it already.”
“I’ll bring you to the Old Jian Residence tonight then.”
Jian Yunnao could go outside whenever he wanted. Going outside didn’t affect his rehabilitation.
And thus, later at night, Jian Shuxing, Wen Nuan, Jian Yuncheng, and Jian Yunnao arrived at the Old Jian Residence. The four of them had all arrived together.
However, upon arriving, they heard from Grandma Jian that Jian Yiling had gone out with Jian Yujie and Yu Xi today.
After they asked a few more questions, the four of them figured out that today was the date of Jupiter’s concert at Hengyuan City. As a result, Jian Yiling and the rest of them had gone to attend the concert.
Grandma Jian had also added that Jian Yiling was likely to not be back home until midnight.
Upon hearing these words, the four of them looked incredibly disappointed.
Jian Yunnao appeared to be especially disappointed. He hung his head down from the moment he walked in the door. He didn’t dare to look at Grandma Jian.
Jian Shuxing frowned. Why was Yiling staying out so late?
However, before he voiced his thoughts, he quickly swallowed back his words.
He knew that if he said this, Grandma Jian would scold him. And if his mother scolded him, there was no room for rebuttal.
Furthermore, they had no right to interfere with their daughter’s affairs anymore.
If Grandma Jian agreed to Jian Yiling going outside, they had no right to say anything.
Despite this, Jian Yuncheng immediately took out his phone to make a call. He wanted to ask someone to buy Jupiter concert tickets for him.
However, Grandma Jian spoke up once again. “Don’t even think about it. My darling got tickets from Yumin. They’re different from the ones that you can buy. And thus, even if you buy tickets, you won’t be able to see her.”
Grandma Jian wasn’t sympathetic to their situation at all. They had done this to themselves.
However, Jian Yuncheg still got someone to buy the tickets for him anyway.
His reply to Grandma Jian was, “Well, I wanted to see Jian Yumin’s performance in the first place.”
Grandma Jian felt like laughing. Who was he lying to? Jian Yuncheng wants to go to a concert? Since when was he interested in pop music? He listened to pop music less than her! What a liar!
However, Grandma Jian was kind enough to not tear down his lie. She decided to give him a break.
A while later, Jian Yuncheng managed to purchase tickets for the concert.
Jian Yunnao also wanted to attend the concert.
However, Jian Yuncheng disagreed with this, “Concerts are very crowded. You shouldn’t attend such an event with the state of your hand right now.”
It had taken quite some effort to get Jian Yunnao’s hand to recover. Jian Yuncheng was afraid that Jian Yunnao would accidentally reinjure his hand in the crowd of people. If that did happen, then it’d be too late for him to regret it.
Upon hearing this, Jian Yunnao hesitated for a moment. Then he insisted, “I’ll go with you. However, I’ll wait in the car.”
Jian Yunnao decided to not enter the venue. However, he was willing to wait until the event was finished.
The reason for Jian Yunnao’s insistence stemmed from his overwhelming remorse and guilt.
If he didn’t do anything, he would feel horrible. In fact, horrible enough to feel like dying.
“Hmmm, I guess,” Jian Yuncheng replied. He agreed to let Jian Yunnao wait in the car for them.
Jian Shuxing and Wen Nuan stayed back at the Old Jian Residence to talk to Grandma Jian. However, the other two left to go to the concert location.
However, Grandma and Grandpa Jian could see that their son and daughter-in-law’s attention was not on them. And thus, after talking for a short while, they decided to let the two of them go.
After everyone had left, Grandma Jian turned around and asked Grandpa Jian:
“Hey, old man, do you think Yunnao will apologize to my darling?”
Grandma Jian was still very concerned about this matter.
“How would I know? Who am I to ask if you ask me?” Grandpa Jian replied in an impatient tone.
