Wu Sheng’s abilities were outstanding. Both his combat skills and his leadership were so impressive that no one could help but be in awe.

When Wu Sheng and Su Li stood together, they looked like a perfect match in every way, from their appearances to their abilities.

This was what everyone present that night was thinking.

The next day, that thought began to spread, from the Imperial City to the rest of the nation.

Because the next day, the events of that night were reported in comprehensive detail.

The Imperial City TV Station’s morning news dedicated an unprecedented seven minutes to the incident, covering what Su Li and Wu Sheng had done, as well as Su Li’s follow-up interview.

After the morning news, the episode of *Case Tracking* that Ling Zhen had edited through the night aired. It laid out the entire case from start to finish, incorporated excerpts from Su Li’s interview, and was even more detailed and thrilling.

From Su Li’s clever negotiations and her use of a song to calm Alice and pass a message, to luring out Song Shengfu, and finally to Wu Sheng’s rescue—it was all supposed to be a news report, yet it was more exhilarating than a martial arts drama.

Su Li represented the path of wisdom, while Wu Sheng was the thrilling, action-packed climax.

Although they hadn’t captured the events in the backyard on film, Wu Sheng’s ambush and his coordination with the team were more exciting than a movie scene. The way he threw that knife showed a skill that surpassed even the masters.

Ling Zhen and her cameraman hadn’t been working on a crime show all these years for nothing; there was no shortage of dangerous places they’d been, and they captured everything with crystal clarity.

And since *Case Tracking* could be set to music, the result was breathtakingly thrilling—an absolutely electrifying watch.

As if that wasn’t thrilling enough, Ling Zhen, feeling it still lacked something, added Su Li’s interviews with Alice and Cook.

The father and daughter both gave a thumbs-up. While their words were incomprehensible gibberish, there was a translator, and besides, the looks on their faces were unmistakable.

With that, the report went from being thrilling to the most thrilling piece of television.

Ling Zhen really was a talent. In the end, what was supposed to be a serious news program managed to get everyone’s blood pumping, becoming a truly deserving piece of passionate, thrilling journalism.

Both the news report and the special program left the public feeling incredibly proud and moved. When combined with the thanks from the elementary school students and their parents, it was enough to bring tears to their eyes.

Su Li’s reporting and interviews, along with Ling Zhen’s program, were later hailed as classics. Even years later, watching them would still stir up a myriad of emotions and even bring tears to one’s eyes.

The soon-to-be-wed couple, Wu Sheng and Su Li, had now thoroughly made a name for themselves.

In the wake of this coverage, all the previous talk about Su Li not being good enough for Wu Sheng completely vanished.

Wu Sheng was outstanding, no doubt about it, but Su Li was every bit his equal. She was just as exceptional as he was.

Ling Zhen’s show was already on Huaguo TV Station. With her detailed coverage, additional reports from the Huaguo TV Station news, and an article in the Huaguo Daily, the brilliant performance of Su Li and Wu Sheng made them famous across at least half of Huaguo, if not the entire nation.

Ye Xilan, who had fanned the flames by whispering behind their backs that Su Li wasn’t good enough, was completely silenced.

As for the TV station, the jealous gossip from those who had snidely claimed Su Li wasn’t a match for him vanished like mist.

From then on, whenever people talked about Su Li and Wu Sheng, they would give a thumbs-up and declare them a perfect match.

Su Li’s goal had been to work hard and become a more outstanding person, so she could one day confidently say she was worthy of Wu Sheng.

She had achieved that goal, but in a completely unexpected way.

Of course, what was even more surprising was that the impact of the news coverage would be far more long-lasting.

The case of the missing elementary school students was now closed, but the impact of Wu Sheng and Su Li’s actions was just beginning.

Never mind the adults, who were deeply moved and wouldn’t forget it for a long time; the young boys in the audience were now obsessed with practicing martial arts. It was something they were already drawn to, but seeing Wu Sheng ignited a real passion.

One by one, they started to "practice martial arts," vowing to grow up to be as incredible as Wu Sheng.

Wu Sheng was a bigger influence on the boys, while Su Li inspired the girls and the more studious boys.

How should one put it? Su Li was practically glowing on television. Many young girls didn’t even know what a "reporter" was, but they now had a new aspiration: to grow up and become a reporter, to be an exceptional person just like Su Li.

Some childhood dreams change over time, but many of these children actually pursued that goal when they grew up, changing the course of their lives in the process.

Heroes and the media have the greatest power to influence people—that saying was absolutely true.

After a flurry of activity, Su Li and Wu Sheng were finally able to get together.

"Are you okay?"

"Are you okay?"

They spoke in unison, asking the exact same question. They looked at each other, smiled, and then replied.

"I’m fine."

"I’m fine."

Once again, their answers were identical.

Su Li couldn’t hold it in and burst out laughing.

"You can still laugh? You’re far too reckless. Why did you charge forward like that? You should have listened to me and run without looking back. It’s a good thing I caught that lighter, otherwise what would have happened to you?"

Wu Sheng stepped forward to lecture her.

The situation had been so dangerous. Although he never fought a battle he wasn’t prepared for, he couldn’t stand the thought of Su Li being in danger, not even for a second.

But Su Li had such a strong sense of duty; she always stepped up when things like this happened. He was proud and happy, yet he couldn’t help but worry.

Just now was a perfect example. Anyone else would have run, but not her. She had turned right back around to help him, completely disregarding her own safety.

Wu Sheng was certain now. Su Li’s heart was full of him, and she would risk everything for him, just as he would for her.

A warm, toasty feeling filled his heart. It was a ridiculously soft mix of sweet and sour, but he still couldn’t stop worrying about her.

Back when he had no place in Su Li’s heart, all he wanted was for her to love him. Now that her heart was full of him, he found himself worried.

When danger arose, he would almost rather she didn’t love him, if it meant she would prioritize her own safety first.
