Chapter 756 - 362: Little Bear Troop (Part 2)
If possible, the young man wouldn’t want to harm those children, their ages were similar to that of his own child, and watching them suffer always gave him the illusion of torturing his own child. The guilt in his heart tormented his soul incessantly.
However, he knew he couldn’t afford to be soft-hearted, because he had witnessed the ruthlessness of Su Qinwu. If he softened towards these children, his own child would be saying goodbye to this world. So, as a father, he couldn’t hesitate!
Under the amused gaze of Su Qinwu watching like a spectator, the young man signaled his assistants to tightly restrain the three children and prepare to inject them.
However, at that moment, a loud alarm sounded suddenly indoors, the red light appearing extremely garish and glaring. Su Qinwu’s face turned sullen, shouting angrily, "What’s going on here? What are those guards doing!"
Gu Ningxuan pretended to still be bound, yet secretly observed the situation of the three children. Seeing them unharmed, he let out a long sigh of relief. Su Qinwu glared hatefully at Gu Ningxuan, stood up from her chair, and said to the young man, "What are you standing there for? If these three little bastards are still alive when I return, your child will die!"
The young man’s face changed drastically, his eyes darkening as he watched Su Qinwu’s departing silhouette, his hands drooping beside him clenched tightly, his unwillingness in his heart surging endlessly. After a while, the alarm’s red light continued to sound incessantly, showing no sign of stopping.
The young man turned to glance at his assistants, sighed impatiently, and said, "Do it, who knows when she’ll be back. As for these children, well, just their bad luck... Make it clean and quick, give them less pain."
The three children reacted differently, the girl’s face pale, her eyes filled with intense unwillingness, while the two boys showed calm expressions, posing defensively, intent on joining forces to subdue those helpers trying to harm them.
However, before they could act, they felt an unusual breeze stirring in the air, causing the helpers and the young man to slowly collapse to the ground. Even their eyes remained open, filled with confusion and bewilderment, without any sign of struggle.
Seeing this scene, the two boys exchanged glances, both seeing shock and vigilance in each other’s eyes. Who had done this? And when did they act? The speed was frighteningly quick, and they hadn’t seen who made the move at all.
Gu Ningxuan stood behind the two boys, a hand on one of their shoulders, clearly feeling their tense muscles and burning body heat. He deliberately softened his voice, using a cool tone to say, "It’s safe now. I’ll get you out of here first."
The two boys pursed their lips, initially wanting to refuse, but remembering how easily the other had taken down the people, it was clear he was no ordinary character.
Not to mention this, just the internal route of the base was so complex; they had been investigating for more than three months with little progress.
Now everything was exposed, if they stayed here, their future was bleak, if not dead then half-disabled! But now, in their escape, they might accidentally run into Su Qinwu’s pawns, and how could they possibly fight back? With such a skilled person protecting them, their safety was assured.
"Thank you, Uncle..." The three teenagers whispered their thanks, Gu Ningxuan’s expression softened considerably, looking much less stern.
"Thank you for what? You’re still just children; it’s pitiful enough to encounter something like this. Once you’re safe, remember to immediately find the relevant rescue agencies and never fall into the hands of such people again." Gu Ningxuan gestured for the girl to climb onto his back, grabbed one boy with each arm, and swiftly navigated through the base.
His telekinesis was connected to the base’s central control system, leaving all safe routes unguarded by him.
He knew better than anyone how to avoid those minions. So, in the eyes of the three children, he navigated the turns effortlessly, as if he had lived here for over a decade. To know that this base’s grounds were vast, and the routes were so complex it gave headaches, yet this man knew it so well, was too puzzling, making it hard not to be suspicious.
The two boys quietly cooperated with Gu Ningxuan’s movements, not making a sound from start to finish, but secretly communicated with glances. The girl clung tightly to Gu Ningxuan’s neck, suppressing her discomfort for a long time, murmuring a bit stuffily, "Uncle, my head feels a bit dizzy."
