“Come on…..! Ma’el!!”

Outside, Safina and the group raised their hands in joy, jumping up and down, then hugging each other. Everyone seemed as if they had won the award themselves, brimming with excitement.

The golden brown bright lights shone on their faces, reflecting their brilliance at this moment.

“UEFA Best!!”

Jose was beaming as he hugged Harry and Davis, saying with a smile, “From the Golden Boy Award to Puskas, top ten of the Golden Ball Award, and now to UEFA Best, truly step by step!”

As his words fell, he immediately raised his voice to a higher pitch, “The most important thing is, we’ll be getting a raise too!”

“Hahaha…..!” The group joined in laughter while hugging, with many pumping their fists and shouting, “Ness!! Follow the boss and eat well! Now we are the happiest people in the world!”

No matter how good a relationship one may have with a person, or shall we say with a job, income is definitely important to them.

This is one of their foundations for survival, a reflection of their value.

Except for rare cases, no one wouldn’t be happy about a salary increase, especially when your boss is wealthy and generous, when you can open a salary raise blind box and have a high chance of winning the big prize.

“Actually, I feel we haven’t helped him much; he’s just excellent himself.”

Harry glanced down with a slight smile, somewhat awkwardly saying, “It feels like anyone could do this job, but we’re just lucky to receive higher pay, and our income often rises with Ma’el.”

“Yeah.”

“Indeed…..”

Voices of agreement echoed, and many faces showed a touch of gratefulness mingled with a hint of shame.

Even Aisha felt the same, though she was running her family business and couldn’t earn the high salary from the little boss Ma’el, the promised advertisement shooting still brought significant profits.

She naturally realized how terrifying the hype a young UEFA Best would stir, what influence he would have, and how much attention his advertisement would bring to their brand.

“Besides marveling again at how lucky we are to know him and be part of his circle, what else could be said?”

She couldn’t hold back, joining in with everyone’s sighs, “We’re just alike; you guys connected with him through work, while I connected with him through Isabella.”

The others were slightly taken aback, as Aisha usually seldom saw or interacted with them, not really in their circle, but today was somewhat different.

“Why are you all staring at me?”

Aisha raised her brow with a smile, understanding the reason, explaining, “Just feeling inspired in this celebratory moment…..compared to you all, I’m definitely less familiar with him.

“But I know very well how rare it is to know such a sports star. A person like him could change my life drastically just by lending a small hand.”‘

“So…..” She shrugged her shoulders, “I also feel very lucky and genuinely happy for his success.”

“Haha!”

“Yes!”

“Let’s go have a few drinks tonight, he won’t return to London until tomorrow anyway.”

“Alright.”

A few folks, familiar from multiple celebrations together, blended into each other’s social circles.

From the sidelines, Mendes was briefly forgotten, but he appreciated it, finally having time to quietly savor the moment by himself.

Frankly, he was very aware…..because Real Madrid just emerged from the low period dominated by Dream Three, and Ronaldo hadn’t won anything of high prestige this year, making him uncompetitive for this award.

From the moment he arrived in Monaco, the awardee he anticipated had always been one, European champion Ma’el.

However, these thoughts weren’t something he could voice out loud. Even thinking about them gave him a sense of guilt, feeling he was letting down Ronaldo, who had helped him get this far.

But once a favorable outcome officially unfolds, he didn’t need to think so much, only to savor the satisfaction of dreams fulfilled!

He didn’t wish anyone to ponder his thoughts right now or hear him discuss who’s stronger or weaker. He just wanted to give his admiration and blessings to this young player full of talent with all his attention.

Mendes’ lips curled into a small arc, his face showing no obvious expression, but under the light, it seemed like some brilliant scene was being played out.

“This is a special day for me; I’ve received an important award.”

On the big screen, Ma’el began to deliver his final acceptance speech, his gaze was glued to Isabella, also searching for the cameras around, as if speaking to someone in front of the screen.

…

In Sheffield City, on the city center’s street, a white Mercedes van was slowly driving.

Garrispeed was in the driver’s seat, next to him sat Jorson, while his little daughter sat in the back.

“Beep… beep beep beep…..!”

He was singing the cheerful song, enjoying the rare quietness, not noticing Jorson beside him trembled slightly.

Passing another block, Garrispeed turned smilingly to his daughter, “I’ll take you to school, then Uncle and I will go fishing, and we’ll have fish for dinner, how’s that?”

“Okay.” His daughter nodded, then curiously and innocently asked, “Can you catch any? Mom said the fish you brought last time still had a 14-pound tag on it.”

“Haha…..” Garrispeed’s face showed embarrassment as he chuckled dryly, “It’s possible; people are always progressing, don’t worry.”
