Ireen gave Slade a contemptuous glare.

"Look, killer, you need a demon to read demon. So I’ll summon a demon. That’s technically illegal, but given your profession I think you’d understand that sometimes a girl has to walk on the wild side to get anything done."

"So what do we need to do?" Ava asked, wary, but unable to deny a certain anticipation at witnessing a demon summoning.

She’d only seen banishments, and by then all the fun had been had.

"Well, that’s the tricky part," Ireen said. "There are a lot of demons I could summon, but most of them would require a boon of some sort – like a promise or contract – or a sacrifice. There is another way, though. If I summoned a psychogorgoth I could let it attach to me and use its mind to translate the runes. That way I stay sane, and don’t have to deal with all that demonic legal gobbledygook. The only problem is the psychogorgoth is like a giant beast with unthinkable power. And it’s going to want to eat my brain. Which, needless to say, not something I want to happen."

"This is insane," Slade muttered.

"So, um, we can’t do that?" Ava said.

Ireen smirked. "Yeah, we can, because if there’s one thing psychogorgoths like more than eating a brain it’s having sex with a willing mortal. Especially an elf."

Ireen grinned. "Know an elf who might be willing to distract a giant brain-eating demon with sex while I translate a forbidden text?"

Ava looked around for an elf, then realized Ireen meant her and blushed furiously.

"Oh, yes, right." Ava giggled. "I’m willing. Is there anything I need to know about, um, distracting the psychogorgoth?"

Ireen was already leading them back to the room where she conducted all her more dangerous work.

A domed stone chamber carefully marked out with summoning and protection wards etched into the floor.

There were greasy smears from past rituals and more than one spot where something had melted the stone with heat.

Ireen picked up a pouch of ritual salts and began to spread them in a circle on the floor.

"The main thing," she said, finally answering Ava, "is to not let it suck out your brain. That means don’t let it put one of its tentacles over your head. I have to let it do that, but as long as you’re keeping it busy, I should be fine."

"You can’t seriously think of doing this," Slade snarled. "Summoning demons? Fucking them? Letting them gnaw upon your head? Listen to this insanity!"

"You’re a real stick in the mud," Ireen said, flicking a last pinch of dust. "But I have a job for you, Mr. Stakes-a-Lot!"

She tossed a fizzing potion bottle to Slade.

He barely caught it, bobbling it before managing to trap it against his chest.

"That’s a showstopper," Ireen said. "You’re our safety net, big boy. If things get out of hand, you toss that thing in the middle of the summoning circle and it will banish the demon."

Slade looked at the bubbling white potion and then gave Ireen a dubious look. "This whole thing is out of hand. How would I possibly know when the moment is right?"

"You’ll know," Ireen said, giving him a wink. "Now, back. Wait outside the circle. In fact, stand in the doorway. And enjoy the show. Ava, you come over here with me."

Ava bounced into the circle and stood beside Ireen.

The book was on a small pedestal and beside it a blank scroll, quill, and inkwell.

The witch ignited two tight bundles of herbal stems and tossed them into a pair of blackened censers.

Strong-smelling purple smoke began to pour out of the decorative lids, rolling like a mist across the ground.

"Hang onto those tits of yours," Ireen said, winking.

"Ummm..." Ava crossed her arms over her blouse.

Ireen held her arms out at her sides and splayed her fingers.

She began to chant and Ava immediately felt the static prickle of magic gathering in the chamber.

Her hair began to stand on end.

A foul, warm wind began to swirl invisibly around the room.

It stirred the hair on her head and tore off Irene’s rumpled hat.

Candles overflowing in small alcoves were snuffed out with a hiss.

But there was a new light in the room.

A violet and red vortex shimmered above the ritual circle, the intensity of its hellish glow growing.

The light took on the shape of an arched doorway as Ireen’s chanting grew louder and the air within the chamber grew hotter.

A strange, unpleasant smell like a swamp and aroused secretions assaulted Ava’s senses.

Then, through the doorway, she saw it.

The psychogorgoth’s single red eye opened and it stared at them r through the dimensions with hunge.

Ava trembled as it seemed to peer into her.

Beneath that eye was a sea of tentacles.

Green and gray and writhing in slime.

A bouquet of filthy appendages lifted from this unfathomable mass and began to wriggle towards the doorway.

She felt a pit of perverse desire deep inside herself.

Ava braced herself against Ireen’s side.

Ireen, brow furrowed with concentration, spoke with great effort.

"Take off... your clothes... Offer yourself..."

"Huh? Oh! Right. Yes! Of course!" Ava’s fingers flew to the buttons of her blouse.

She shed it with great haste and tore her delicate bra in the process of disrobing.

The tentacles began to creep through the doorway, bringing with them a terrible gust of that obscene stench.

There were six in all.

Three moved towards Ava and three towards Ireen, the doorway had solidified enough that Ireen was no longer chanting.

Ireen approached the pedestal with the book and took up the quill.

The three tentacles of the psychogorgoth approached her first.

Two tentacles were as thick as Ava’s wrist and ended in sucker-covered flattened ovals like the hunting tentacles of a giant squid.

The third tentacle was much larger and ended in a loathsome appendage that sagged open to reveal a slimy orifice.

Ireen shuddered as the tentacles made contact.

The smaller curled around her legs and began to climb up her body.

The larger slithered up her back, raised above her head, and lunged with predatory suddenness.

Its orifice widened and completely engulfed the top of Ireen’s head.

The witch shuddered as slime began to drip down her face.

Her eyes rolled back in her head.

"Dis... tract... it," she gasped as the tentacle began to slurp.

"Right!" Ava cried, shedding her trousers and panties in a rush and practically leaping at the three tentacles slithering towards her.

Two of these matched the grasping tentacles that held Ireen in place, but the third was tipped with a dripping, ridged phallus.

It resembled the cock of some sort of reptile, and as it drew nearer Ava realized the ridges were moving like worms beneath the thing’s surface.

It was revolting.

And hypnotic.

And Ava was eager to give it a go.

After all, how often do you get to be fucked senseless by a cosmic horror to keep it from eating your friend’s brain?

Not to mention Ava had never known the touch of such a monstrosity before.

There were some taboos even elves wouldn’t break for pleasure, and one of them involved summoning unnatural horrors from beyond the planes of reality for fucking.

It wasn’t necessary.

After all, if one wanted to have some fun with tentacles, the dryad groves were always welcoming.

And yet here Ava was, about to do something depraved even by her standards.

She couldn’t wait.

She gasped as one of the slimy appendages slithered up her leg.

"O- ooooh," she moaned as it was joined by its brother.

Those rubbery limbs stroked her naked thighs and hips, admiring her figure.

She shivered as the slime dripped over her curves, rolling down her pale flesh.

And everywhere it touched warmed.

Heated.

Glowed with a sensitive arousal that spread through to her core like every nerve were a lit fuse.

Ava’s legs trembled under the touch of the foul creature.
