"Will it even work...?"

Hearing Master Fuli's proposal, Momo's face showed a doubtful, foxy expression.

After entering Spiritualization, if she devoutly recited the little fox's full name in her heart, she could quickly replenish Spiritual Particles?

Why did this pitch sound so much like something she'd seen on those crime‑law education programs on TV before.

"Would a big fox like me lie to you?" Ansheng's face was full of disdain as he lifted his little muzzle and cosplayed a woodpecker.

"Yes yes yes... please calm down, sir, have a bite of the drunken braised abalone I just made last night."

Momo chuckled, took a big glass bowl out of the fridge built into the bar counter; inside, the Huadiao wine was soaking the fresh abalone she'd prepped in advance.

Momo hoisted the little fox on her shoulder, picked up the drunken abalone and headed to a bathroom tucked in the corner of the basement.

The style of Momo's bathroom, as always, had a floor space no less than the living room of a small apartment, and on the wall facing the shower was an entire mirror covering the whole surface.

"Ever since one of my dad's friends drank himself to death back when I was in high school, this private bar and the billiard room have never been used by anyone else. I requisitioned them as my secret base..."

Momo plopped down onto the sofa against the wall and set the glass bowl she'd been holding onto the table.

"That hole over there, you're the one who punched it out?" Ansheng glanced around the room. With the ventilation system there was no smell, and the drain had also been sealed off by Momo.

Other than being called a bathroom, there was basically nothing here that had anything to do with a bathroom.

It was completely Momo's own little world.

"Yeah..." Momo glanced at the ceiling, sat up, took off her jacket and base layer, then grabbed a Spirit Particle Potion from the medical kit on the coffee table and jabbed two shots into her thighs.

As the Spirit Particle Potion flowed in, Momo's skin secreted a layer of white liquid that rapidly hardened, forming a carapace that covered her entire body and made her frame shoot upward.

Except—

After the Aphrodite Gene activated, Momo's face should have been covered by a smooth mirror‑like surface, with wings sprouting from her back.

But right now her face was still her own, with a pair of fox ears on top of her head; only her physique showed the insect carapace features of the Aphrodite Gene.

"Whenever I start Spiritualization now, I get stuck here and can't enter Fox Girl Transformation..."

With the previous incident as a lesson, this time Momo transformed while sitting on the sofa to avoid smashing into the ceiling again.

The ceiling hid a ton of pipes; just thinking back on it made her head throb faintly.

"Do as I said: silently chant my name in your heart, then shout 'Master Fuli, save me'..."

Ansheng squatted on the coffee table, looking utterly confident as he spoke to Momo.

"Okay!"

At his words, Momo reclined slightly, leaning back against the sofa, closed her eyes, and started trying.

"You give it a try first, I'm gonna wash my hands..." Ansheng stood up and trotted into the shower area, turned on the tap, washed his paws, and happily started snacking.

The drunken braised abalone personally made by Momo carried a rich Huadiao aroma and a very complex fresh sweetness.

The abalone meat was soft and glutinous with no hard core, like dried abalone fully rehydrated, still with a molten center. After a full day and night of chilled soaking, the sauce flavor had completely penetrated the abalone flesh.

In terms of culinary skills, Momo's mastery could absolutely crush a good portion of professional chefs.

"Mm?" After one bite of drunken abalone, Ansheng unconsciously revealed a blissful expression.

And just then—

The white carapace on Momo's body suddenly let out a crisp "crack crack crack," and began sloughing off layer by layer.

The triangular fox ears atop her head stood straight, and a fluffy fox tail slipped out from behind her, stretching forward to cover the torn parts of her clothing and prevent any wardrobe malfunction.

"Wow! Even the fox is self‑censoring?"

Ansheng took one look at Momo in Blessed Fox Transformation and let out an exaggerated sigh.

"Eh?"

Momo stood up, face full of shock, took a light step and twirled once around the room, staring at the fox silhouette in the mirror that was both intimately familiar and tinged with strangeness.

"Are you some kind of Red‑Haired Freak Emperor or something?" Momo looked at the little fox in disbelief.

She'd just followed the little fox's instructions, calling for Master Fuli's help over and over in her heart.

Before she'd even shouted a few times, she suddenly felt her mind clear, as if something had surged in, and when she opened her eyes again she'd transformed into a Fox Lady.

"With your level of knowledge, it's hard for me to explain the scientific principles of the [Second Epoch] behind it..."

Ansheng's little muzzle went "chew chew chew"; only after swallowing the food in his mouth did he look at Momo with smug satisfaction:

"Just tell me, is my Spiritualization hack convenient or not?"

"This is insanely reliable!"

Momo's face lit up with joy. After spinning twice in front of the mirror, her clothes in tatters, she turned and ran out of the bathroom:

"Wait for me here a bit, I'm gonna change into another outfit and come right back."

"And don't finish all the abalone, I haven't eaten yet."

Momo's figure vanished like the wind, leaving Ansheng abandoned in the secret base.

"Huh? So weird..." Ansheng shrugged in the direction Momo disappeared, muttering.

But before his words even fully faded, not two minutes had passed when Momo came hurrying back, now in a different outfit and holding a can of cold cola.

"Well?"

Momo handed the cola to Ansheng, looking smugly at the little fox as she asked, "How's this qipao? Easy on the eyes?"

Momo wore a white qipao with subtle jacquard patterns. Unlike the common qipaos on the market, this one was extremely form‑fitting, tailored entirely to her own measurements.

The curves of her bust, waist, and hips were all sharply outlined, and her exposed snow‑white shoulders clearly showed delicate collarbones.

With a proud look, Momo spun once in front of Master Fuli before saying, "I intentionally made it one size bigger—now that my weight's gone up, it instantly fills out all the gaps."

"Stop swaying... you're making my head spin."

When it came to beautiful, exquisite things, Master Fuli never stinted on his gaze, but Momo's qipao was very peculiar—pure‑colored fabric with slightly darker jacquard layered over it, combined with her figure.

As long as Momo moved even a little, her graceful curves turned into a deep‑sea whirlpool, forcing Ansheng to experience seasickness on dry land.

"That outfit of yours... can you even wear it outside?" Ansheng shook his head, looking at Momo strangely as he asked, "If you walk along the roadside, any driver who glances at you is gonna see stars and pass out."

"Outside? Going outside for what..."

Momo put on an exaggerated expression, feigning disdain as she looked at Ansheng. "My friend, this is the Lingnan Region. People don't wear things like this out on the street."

As she spoke, something fun seemed to occur to her. She stood in front of the mirror, covered her face with her phone, crossed one arm over her chest, and snapped a photo.

"?" Ansheng looked over curiously at Momo.

"Here, look..." Momo plopped down onto the sofa in front of Ansheng and showed him her phone screen. On it was a WeChat chat window: [Yang Xinyan].

Yang Xinyan checked out Momo's qipao photo and, in less than a second, sent back a voice message.

"Wow! Babe, dressed that pretty—are you planning to divorce your non‑existent husband and come be with me?"
