Chapter 2911: Chapter 1381: Central Axis
“Heatstroke?!”
Fyari’s mouth twitched.
“Heatstroke…”
Motan’s expression stiffened.
“Heatstroke, huh.”
Elisa raised her brows slightly.
“Definitely heatstroke~”
Yu Chen smiled sweetly and clapped her hands lightly: “Completely reasonable.”
“Yes, completely reasonable.”
The Sun Saint Son also smiled harmlessly and nodded at his little head: “What a coincidence~”
The two favored ones then laughed with high synchronization, the scene was quite sacred.
Another favored one at the scene secretly tugged at Motan’s sleeve, whispering in his ear: “Hey, hey, hey, don’t you think those two are starting to emit black smoke…”
“Even if you know, you have to pretend not to.”
Motan looked at his nose, his nose at his mouth, his mouth at his heart, squeezing out an almost inaudible answer through his teeth: “The secret to a long life is to listen more, see more, and speak less.”
Fyari rolled her eyes and continued to mutter: “I originally thought your Forget Language Saintess was a perfect little angel, damn, it’s because I’m too young, man, it’s not easy for you either.”
“What do you mean by ‘our’…”
Motan turned his head with a slightly red face, and said quietly: “And it’s not like it’s hard for me, it’s always been her accommodating me, so stop talking nonsense.”
“What are you chatting so happily about? About heatstroke?”
The next second, a pair of fair, beautiful little hands rested on Motan and Fyari’s shoulders. The two turned back stiffly, their hearts skipping a beat under Yu Chen’s sweet smiling face, their faces turning pale.
Amidst a bizarre twist, the Wealth Saintess who could crush a gold coin with her bare hands appeared half a meter away with a frightened smile, giving everyone a curtsey: “Oh my, oh my, I suddenly remembered I need to get to the venue early today, you guys chat away without me, hahahahaha—”
With that, she lifted her skirt and dashed out of the hall with the speed of a high-level thief using Fast Movement, leaving the inn without a trace.
Thus, the pressure fell onto Motan!
“I was just chatting with Lady Fyari about the weather.”
Seemingly giving up on thinking, Motan began to speak nonsensically with great seriousness: “She thinks it’s been a bit too hot these days and wants me to suggest you wear something cooler.”
Yu Chen nodded with a smile, blinking her clear, innocent eyes: “So? Do you think Lady Fyari has a point, Black Vatican Priest?”
When she mentioned ‘Black Vatican,’ it seemed like the girl deliberately emphasized the pronunciation.
“Nonsense.”
Motan shook his head decisively and said without a second thought: “That Batty Arthur obviously just wasn’t in good shape, combined with the stress of the competition, ended up fainting from heatstroke. Look at me, I wear no less than him, why am I fine? And Lady Elisa has also been dressed quite warmly these days.”
“I don’t want to.”
Then Elisa ungraciously responded, and then pinched the cheeks of the Holy Son in her arms, teasingly: “This little petty guy forced me to dress warmly.”
Black discreetly shifted his gaze, suddenly finding the birds by the window very interesting.
“But it’s okay.”
The princess, however, changed her tone with a light laugh: “After all, as long as he’s next to me, he can control the temperature to keep me cool.”
Black scratched his cheek, chuckling awkwardly trying to play it off.
“Thanks to Black’s decent divine skills.”
Elisa smiled warmly and added meaningfully: “Otherwise, I might have gotten heatstroke too.”
Black: “…”
Motan: “…”
“Does anyone have a particular view on this?”
Yu Chen chuckled, then asked softly as she helped Motan adjust his collar.
“I’ve decided to ask Xia Lian if our Church of the Dawn has any divine arts that work like an air conditioner when I get back.”
Motan awkwardly lowered his head and replied quietly.
“No need, I can do that myself~”
Yu Chen poked Motan’s cheek, then whispered to him: “If someone wants to make it up to me, treat me to some cold drinks when school starts~”
Motan froze for a moment, then nodded with a flushed face, remaining silent.
“Alright, go attend to your things then.”
Yu Chen smiled brightly, patting his shoulder, the curve of her mouth soft and clean: “Getting up early today, you must have some business, right?”
Motan paused for a second, then awkwardly shook his head: “Can’t really say there’s anything to do, although… um…”
“Greetings to all, I hope I’m not disturbing you.”
As Motan hesitated and stumbled over his words, a rich magnetic voice suddenly sounded at the door. The four turned their heads to see a tall, handsome, elegant, dark elf youth with slicked-back hair and glasses standing at the entrance, bowing slightly towards them.
It was none other than Foster Ward, who had previously been matched with Motan in the Warfire League, slightly outplayed.
“Hello, Captain Foster.”
