An Ran took the chance to hook her arm around his neck, pulling him closer, tipping her face up. "Don’t do this in the future. I can take care of myself."

She knew he’d rushed over only because he’d heard she was feeling down. Thousands of kilometers away, and he’d still managed to get here in just a few hours. Her heart felt warm and sweet, yet aching with distress.

No one knew better than she did how heavy his daily workload was.
