Flowers Bloom from Battlefield

Chapter 55 - Hunt Event (1)

The hunting event was held every year, but the date would always vary. This year, the emperor decided to hold the event at this time because there was a very important person coming, Young Noble Han. He was a person everyone respected because of his wealth. All the princes have arrived first and even Lan Ping had been recalled from the battlefield.

Jun Min arrived on horse from Jun family residence. Her grandfather prepared two horses for her and Yasha. The two of them arrived early and Jun Min presented her invitation card to the guard. When they read the name, astonishment was reflected on their faces because Jun Min was truly young.

"Young Master Jun has arrived."

That announcement caused several eyes to turn and they saw a young boy entering while pulling the reins of his horse. He looked really young and small which made them wonder how such a small boy could become a general. They controlled their expressions though, so that Jun Min would not detect anything amiss.

Jun Hua stood on one place calmly as she surveyed her surroundings. The place where they were going to hunt was big and she quickly found a place to wait.

"Jun Min."

Jun Hua turned to look at the man, Yan. Her lips curled up.

"I heard that you harassed my sister?"

Yan was surprised. He did not expect that the moment he approached, the other party would greet him like this. He never meant to harass Jun Hua. It was just a misunderstanding. If he knew that the girl was Jun Hua, he wouldn't dare to get close to that girl.

"It's not what you think! I didn't mean to harass her! I mean, it was just an accident!" Yan hurriedly defended himself.

The people around them stared at Prince Yan with pity. This troublemaker prince had surprisingly offended the young general. Hadn't he heard the news that Jun Min was protective over his sister? He would come to pick her up at the academy, he would buy her things, and he would search for her the moment he returned. This Prince Yan was truly an idiot.

Jun Hua looked at Yan and smiled deviously. "Meet me at the training hall. I need to settle this debt with you."

Yan truly wants to cry. He didn't do anything against the other party's sister. He merely greeted her during Ming Hui's party. It was even at a faraway place.

"You can ask Ming Hui, she will surely tell you that I didn't harass your sister."

"Oh, really?" Jun Hua was sure that Ming Hui would definitely be happy to see her brother getting beaten up for offending Jun Hua at that time. Besides, her beatings didn't really hurt Yan and only gave him a bit of lesson.

As the two of them talked, another person headed over their spot. Jun Hua raised her head and the figure of a powerful man came in sight. He had an even more domineering aura than her as he strode in his own pace without looking at the other people gathered there.

"Soujin, help me! Jun Min wants to beat me up."

Soujin raised his eyebrow. "I heard you harassed his sister."

"I. Did. Not!"

With Soujin joining the fray, Yan got no chance to retaliate and he could only accept his fate of getting beaten up. If he didn't want to get beaten up, he needed to have an even better skill in martial arts compared with the two people in front of him. The problem was, it's going to be hard because these two people were very experienced generals.

Jun Hua wanted to joke around with them for a longer time, but then she paused for a moment as she noticed the arrival of Lin family. Three people came to her vision.

"What are you looking at?" Yan asked as he noticed the peculiar stare of Jun Hua. "I doubt your sister is there among them."

"I have promised my sister something, so I need to head over there," Jun Hua answered.

Soujin creased his brows. "They won't let you do anything easily."

"I have my own ways."

The two of them didn't say anything else as Jun Hua made her way to where the Lin Family were. Lin Kang, who was walking slowly, raised his head slightly. He saw a boy slightly taller than him approaching their group. He recognized this boy as Jun Min, the young general of Ming Kingdom whose fame greatly astounded many people.

"Good day, Prime Minister Lin," Jun Hua greeted him.

Lin Tang did not think that Jun Min would take the initiative to greet him. He hastily greeted him back.

"Good day, Young General Jun. I didn't think that I would meet you here."

"The emperor invited all capable men to this event," Jun Hua answered and peeked behind Lin Tang. "And they are your sons?"

Lin Tang really did want to hide his second son from Jun Min because of his weak appearances. If only that invitation didn't include the name of Lin Kang, he would never bring this weak son of his out from the residence.

Lin Hong looked at Jun Min coldly. "Lin Hong."

"Lin Kang."

Jun Hua noticed the unfriendly looks Lin Hong gave her, but she didn't mind. She smiled towards Lin Kang.

"Do you want to accompany me in this hunting?"

"Me?" Lin Kang looked innocent and confused. Even Lin Tang was wondering what Jun Min could possibly see from his weak son. But since Jun Min had offered so, he wouldn't dare to reject such a good chance.

"This son of mine is untalented; learning even just a while from Young General Jun will be highly beneficial."

Through his eyes, Lin Tang conveyed to Lin Kang to accept the offer. Lin Kang immediately bowed down.

"Thank you Young General Jun."

After nodding to Lin Tang, Jun Hua took Lin Kang away from the group. Lin Hong watched the scene coldly, a sinister light flashed briefly in his eyes. There's no way he was going to let them go.
