Chapter 999: No Turning Back

Chapter 999: No Turning Back

Even though Pucha Qiucao was trembling with fear at that moment, she was still infuriated by his words, her face turning crimson: “Shameless!”

Song Qingshu was taken aback, then exclaimed in protest, “By heaven and earth, I just thought that you were completely naked and only wrapped in a blanket, which would make it inconvenient to go out. That’s why I suggested we return to the bed to discuss this; it’s not at all what you’re thinking!”

Of course, Song Qingshu realized that his words were filled with ambiguity. It was all because the events had unfolded so suddenly, and the excessive drinking at the banquet had dulled his reactions.

However, to Pucha Qiucao, it didn’t seem that way. Having just lost her precious chastity to the man before her, and now discovering that he had hidden such a shocking secret, Song Qingshu appeared to her as nothing short of a demon. She dared not trust his words, thinking he was merely trying to deceive her. In her panic, she rushed out, shouting, “Someone, the Marshal is…”

Before she could finish, Song Qingshu struck her acupoint.

Watching the woman collapse to the ground, Song Qingshu’s eyes flashed with a hint of Baleful Qi: “You didn’t listen to my kind advice, so don’t blame me for being rude.”

At that moment, several guards suddenly rushed in from outside, asking, “What happened?” Pucha Qiucao’s earlier cries had indeed been heard by some soldiers.

“It’s nothing, you may leave,” Song Qingshu commanded in Tang Kuo Bian’s voice.

“Yes, Marshal, please rest well.” Upon hearing his voice, the soldiers hurriedly retreated.

There was an advantage to being in a high position; one could issue orders without needing to explain to subordinates, who were also unwilling to pry too much. After all, this was a world where human lives were as insignificant as grass, and no one wanted to be silenced for knowing secrets they shouldn’t.

Hearing the footsteps of the soldiers leaving, Pucha Qiucao finally felt despair. Having been struck at her acupoint, she could no longer keep the blanket wrapped around her. After falling to the ground, the blanket fell away, exposing every inch of her skin to the air.

Song Qingshu glanced over, and a surge of wicked desire rose within him. It was known that alcohol easily stimulated one’s passions, and since the earlier events had been interrupted at a critical moment, he found himself further provoked by her current state. He knew that there was no way to resolve the situation peacefully today.

Song Qingshu had always been open-minded; since things couldn’t be resolved amicably, he thought it better to go all the way. It would be more satisfying to indulge fully, and perhaps inspiration would strike during the process for how to deal with the aftermath.

Noticing the change in Song Qingshu’s gaze, Pucha Qiucao’s sensitive nature alerted her to what was about to happen, and she panicked: “What do you want to do!”

Unfortunately, with her acupoint sealed, her words turned into a silent scream.

Song Qingshu leaned down, scooping her up by the back of her knees and carrying her back to the bed.

After placing Pucha Qiucao on the bed, he noticed her expression and asked, “Do you have something to say?”

Pucha Qiucao blinked rapidly.

“Don’t blame me for not warning you; if you start shouting after I release your acupoint, the consequences will be very serious,” Song Qingshu said coldly.

Pucha Qiucao blinked again, and only then did Song Qingshu release her acupoint.

“What do you really want?” After her acupoint was released, Pucha Qiucao surprisingly didn’t scream or act out in any extreme way.

It wasn’t that she was truly obedient; rather, the events that had just transpired made her realize that shouting would be futile. Given his martial prowess, he could easily seal her mouth again. It was better to feign compliance and perhaps find a way out of the situation.

“Let’s continue what we didn’t finish earlier,” Song Qingshu replied, unabashedly.

Pucha Qiucao was first taken aback, and then her neck turned completely red, stunned by the shamelessness of the other party, leaving her momentarily unsure of how to respond. When the weight of the man pressed down on her again, she finally reacted, hastily reaching out to push him away.

Song Qingshu said coldly, “W0men are inherently weaker than men, and besides, my martial arts are far superior to yours. Even if you resist, it’s useless; it will only add to your suffering.”

Pucha Qiucao gritted her teeth and replied, “If I don’t resist, do you expect me to cooperate with you willingly?”

“Well, that’s not necessarily the case,” Song Qingshu smiled. “Originally, since you know my secret, I would have to kill you to keep it quiet…”

Hearing the words “kill to keep quiet,” Pucha Qiucao’s face turned pale, but she still stubbornly said, “Even if you kill me, I will never submit to you.”

Song Qingshu was unfazed: “You haven’t heard me out completely. If I were to kill you, there’s no wall that doesn’t let the wind through. Rather than letting it reach your father someday, it would be better for me to strike when they are completely unprepared and uproot the Pucha family entirely.”

Pucha Qiucao’s face turned even paler. She knew that he absolutely had the capability to do so. Even without using the power of the Minister of Personnel or the Marshal, relying solely on his martial arts, assassinating her father and brother would be as easy as pie.

Then Song Qingshu changed his tone: “However, if you have a good attitude, we can try to negotiate a win-win solution, allowing the Pucha family to avoid this unwarranted disaster.”

“Have you thought it through now?” Song Qingshu asked in a deep voice.

Pucha Qiucao bit her lip, her expression shifting between dark and light, and finally, she reluctantly nodded.

When Song Qingshu pressed down on her again, Pucha Qiucao placed her hand on his chest and quietly asked, “Who exactly are you? I don’t want to be confused about who took my first time.”

“The Golden Serpent King, Song Qingshu.”

Upon hearing his answer, Pucha Qiucao finally despaired, withdrawing her hand from his chest, a drop of tear rolled down her cheek.

“Brother Yang, I’m sorry…”

It was unclear how long it had been, but Song Qingshu finally got up, satisfied.

Pucha Qiucao, while buttoning her clothes, coldly asked, “Have you thought about how to deal with me?”

Although her tone was calm, the lingering flush on her skin and her trembling voice revealed that she was far from calm, both physically and emotionally.

“Look into my eyes,” Song Qingshu said, his voice seemingly carrying a hint of enchanting magic.

Pucha Qiucao instinctively looked at him, but once their eyes met, she could no longer look away, and gradually, her hand that was buttoning her clothes fell limply to her side.

“You should go back and rest. When you wake up tomorrow morning, you will forget everything that happened today.”

Hearing the ethereal voice in her ear, Pucha Qiucao mechanically nodded, then turned to leave, eventually disappearing outside the door.

“Daiqisi, get in here!” After she left, Song Qingshu suddenly shouted angrily.
