“No, Gaara is very well-behaved.”

Shouju said.

Rasa nodded and walked to the dining table to sit down and eat together.

As soon as Rasa sat down, Gaara immediately stood up.

“I’m full.”

Without waiting for anyone to react, Gaara quickly walked to his room and slammed the door.

“Huh?”

Shouju was a little at a loss.

“Bring the food to him.”

Rasa said indifferently.

Shouju uttered a sound of acknowledgment, then picked up Gaara’s unfinished dinner and walked into Gaara’s room.

The room was lit, with hardly any furniture inside.

Hanging on the walls were not paintings, but various kinds of talismans. Gaara sat alone by the window, the glass reflecting his cold face, an aura of loneliness surrounding him that made him hard to approach.

“Gaara, I’ve put the food on the desk. Remember to finish it. Call me in to tidy up once you’re done.”

Shouju didn’t know how to start the conversation.

Gaara suddenly standing up and leaving was because of his father, Rasa, wasn’t it?

“Leave.”

Gaara only spat out these two words.

“Well, actually, dad he…”

“Didn’t you hear clearly? Get out!”

Gaara’s tone became incredibly cold, turning his head, his icy, emotionless gaze like a blade piercing Shouju’s face, causing her to turn pale and tremble instinctively.

“Yes, I understand. I’ll come by later to clean up the dishes.”

Shouju didn’t dare to stay any longer, fleeing Gaara’s room like she was escaping.

Outside the door, she took a deep breath, trying to calm her heart, and after her complexion returned to normal, she walked back to the dining table.

“Dad, I think Gaara seems a bit strange today.”

After hesitating, Shouju still said this.

In the past, although Gaara was cold to her, he was never as harsh as today.

Moreover, from Gaara’s eyes, she sensed a very terrifying killing intent, not knowing what it was targeting.

“He’s strange every day, don’t worry about him.”

After a moment of silence, Rasa said to Shouju.

Shouju frowned, seeing Rasa was in a bad mood, she still didn’t dare to speak her mind.

Is Gaara strange?

Indeed, he is a bit strange.

However, this isn’t Gaara’s choice to become so strange.

“Dad, Kankuro and I have a day off tomorrow, I’d like to take Gaara out to have some fun. Every time I see him sitting alone in his room, looking out the window, he seems so lonely.”

Shouju asked Rasa anxiously.

Glancing at Shouju, Rasa sighed. He was always satisfied with his sensible eldest daughter.

But she didn’t realize the danger of Gaara.

Even at home, a lot of Sealing Talismans must be installed and personally guarded by him as the Kazekage to ensure absolute safety.

Not only that, around the house are Anbu members, monitoring Gaara’s every move twenty-four hours a day.

This is all because Gaara is a Tailed Beast.

“What do you think, Kankuro?”

Shouju hoped Kankuro could help persuade Rasa.

“Huh?”

Kankuro was about to politely refuse. After all, bringing Gaara along would surely scare away the other children.

But looking at Shouju’s clenched fist, Kankuro immediately chickened out.

He didn’t want to leave the house tomorrow morning with a big bump on his head.

“I think sister is right, Gaara’s personality is too gloomy. Taking him out is a good thing.”

This is definitely not out of fear of Shouju, it’s just that a brother wants to care for his little brother.

He, Kankuro, is the bravest man in the Hidden Sand Village; how could he be afraid of the mere threat of a woman?

“You two… fine, I will have Anbu secretly follow you. However, don’t go to any deserted places. Also, if an accident happens, remember to escape first. The incident will be handled by the Anbu, you can’t help.”

Rasa could only agree reluctantly to this request.

As Gaara grows older, Rasa will be increasingly strict in monitoring him, no longer as lenient as before.

This is not only the Kazekage’s decision but also the unanimous decision of the village’s top officials.

Both Shouju and Kankuro are ninja students with excellent talent, but compared to the extraordinarily powerful Gaara, they are still no match.

“I understand, I’ve already done countless escape drills with Kankuro.”

Shouju said indifferently.

Clearly, it’s my own brother, and yet, to live together with Gaara, we have to undergo extremely strict escape drills, making Shouju unsure of what to say.

Linking Gaara with a catastrophe makes Shouju instinctively uncomfortable.

“Sigh…”

Kankuro sighed too, not knowing what he was lamenting about.

“Why are you sighing? Anyway, whether you bring Gaara along or not, no girl likes you, just give up.”

Shouju said bluntly.

Pffft!

It was like being stabbed violently in the chest.

Kankuro’s pain was so severe he couldn’t breathe.

Even though he’s a brother, why can’t he receive the slightest bit of his sister’s care?

With such pent-up frustration, Kankuro buried himself in his meal.

In the middle of the night.

Rasa woke up again because of nightmares, his sweat soaking through his clothes. He straightened his back, gasping deeply in the dim room.

Although it happened repeatedly, he could almost say he was accustomed to it, but Rasa would rather not get used to such things.
