On the dock, Kado placed his iron cane down, stood upright, and gazed at the vast blue sea through the lenses of his sunglasses.

One boy was being pinned down by two boys his age, struggling fiercely.

The pinned-down boy shouted loudly, “Give me back Pocky, he’s my family!”

The third boy, who was with the other two boys his age, clutched a white pet dog tightly.

He mocked the restrained boy, “Disgusting, treating a dog as family, then let me see your determination towards family!”

With that, he walked to the edge of the wooden deck, below was the cold, churning sea water.

“Hey, what are you doing!”

Seeing the other’s action, the restrained boy turned pale instantly.

“Didn’t you say this dog is your family? I’m just testing your sincerity.”

With a sinister smile on his face, the boy mercilessly threw the pet dog out, with a splash, it fell into the sea.

The boy who was restrained found strength from somewhere, broke free from the hold, ran over, and saw the pet dog, Pocky, struggling desperately in the water, shouting loudly.

The boy who threw the dog into the sea continued mocking.
