Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict
Chapter 2567 - 371
Chapter 2567: Chapter 371
In the private room of their family’s restaurant, Chu Junming, Feng Yize, Tang Jinchen, and Ye Zhan were having dinner together.
After listening to Tang Jinchen explain the situation, Feng Yize immediately stood up, wanting to go deal with Fang Die.
Ye Zhan stopped him, "Yi Ze, sit down."
Feng Yize’s eyes were red with anger, "Big brother, I don’t have as much going on as you and second brother. If I don’t go teach that Fang bitch a lesson, I can’t let go of this anger, and I won’t have the face to see big sister-in-law again."
"Yi Ze, big brother told you to sit down, so just sit down for now."
Chu Junming raised his hand and pulled Feng Yize to sit down.
Ye Zhan gazed intently at Feng Yize, "There are plenty of ways to deal with Fang Die; you don’t need to do it yourself."
"But I feel awful inside."
Feng Yize had the best relationship with Momo, and since he was the one who drove her to get treatment when she was infected, he felt more distressed and guilty than anyone.
"Right now, the most important thing isn’t Fang Die, but the rumors flying everywhere."
"Haven’t they already been suppressed?"
Feng Yize spoke stiffly.
This afternoon, he and Chu Junming had been busy, along with Mo Ziye and Wen Ziyang, ensuring there were almost no rumors about Momo online now.
"What I want is not temporary suppression, but that these rumors don’t reappear in the future."
"Big brother, rest assured. We’ve been vigilant all the while. But since you’re back in the Imperial City, what about sister-in-law? When will you return?"
Chu Junming was a bit more composed than Feng Yize, and at such times he would think more comprehensively.
Ye Zhan’s eyes dimmed slightly, and he spoke lightly, "I’ll go back tomorrow morning. Momo should sleep until noon."
"What about second brother?"
"I’ll stay in the Imperial City for two days; there’s still some business with the Fang Family to deal with," interjected Tang Jinchen. He added to Ye Zhan, "I’ve got it covered here, along with Uncle Ye, so you don’t have to worry."
Ye Zhan remained silent.
He just felt a sense of unease within.
After holding it in for a couple of seconds, he reached for a nearby cigarette, lit one, and took two puffs.
The feeling of irritation not only failed to diminish but grew more intense.
He furrowed his brows.
Standing up, he said, "You all keep eating, I’m going to the restroom."
"Big brother, I’ll come with you."
"It’s not like I’m a woman, no need for you to tag along." After saying this, Ye Zhan strode out of the private room.
Chu Junming hesitated for a moment, but ultimately followed after him.
Outside the private room, Ye Zhan pulled out his phone, intending to call Momo.
After finding her number, he remembered she was still asleep and furrowed his brow, staring at her name in a daze.
Behind him, Chu Junming stood quietly beside him, silently observing Ye Zhan lost in thought before his phone screen.
"Big brother, if you miss sister-in-law, you might as well rush back now rather than wait till tomorrow," Chu Junming’s gentle voice sounded beside him.
Ye Zhan originally planned to return tomorrow, but because of his words, his mind suddenly changed for no discernible reason; he felt an urgent need to see Momo.
He glanced at the private room behind him, then at Chu Junming.
Chu Junming lifted the corners of his mouth in a smile, "Even though sister-in-law might sleep till noon tomorrow due to the medication, there’s no guarantee she won’t wake up early; if she wakes up and doesn’t see you, she might feel uneasy."
"Junming, thank you and Yi Ze."
"Do we need to say thank you between us?"
Ye Zhan stared at him, then suddenly smiled and punched him lightly on the chest. Chu Junming responded with a smile, reflecting their years of brotherly bond that needed no thanks or formalities.
"I’ll head back then; if there’s anything, call me."
"Alright."
Ye Zhan glanced back at the private room, "I won’t go back in; you go in and let them know."
With that, he strode away.
Chu Junming watched as Ye Zhan’s composed figure quickly disappeared into the stairwell. He pursed his lips, then turned back to the private room.
Later on, Ye Zhan would think back to Chu Junming’s advice for him to return tonight and feel grateful to have such a brother.
If he hadn’t hurried back overnight, he might truly have lost Momo again.
Gu Kai had given Momo medication that, barring special circumstances, would keep her asleep until noon the next day.
But after having some soup, whether due to her body’s extreme sensitivity or mental strain, Momo awoke uncomfortably at eleven forty at night.
She hadn’t yet opened her eyes but was already furrowing her brows in discomfort.
Throwing off the quilt and surveying the room with her open eyes, she confirmed she was at home, with no one else in the room. She furrowed her brows again as she cleared her head and sat up.
Her hands clenched tightly to the quilt.
It took quite a while before she got out of bed and left the room.
Approaching the stairwell, Momo recalled what had happened before she fell asleep.
She quickly remembered taking medicine and falling asleep at the hospital, awakening only now.
"Momo, why are you awake?"
Reaching the stairwell, her mother Wen Ran and father Mo Xiuchen called out from several meters away.
Momo’s body tensed slightly.
Wen Ran and Mo Xiuchen hurried to her, each supporting one of her arms. Seeing her pale face, Wen Ran’s heart tightened as she instinctively asked, "Momo, are you feeling unwell?"
Wen Ran had accompanied Momo through her most challenging times and knew her extremely well.
Momo nodded, "Dad, Mom, I’m feeling a bit unwell. I want to go abroad."
Wen Ran looked up at Mo Xiuchen.
Mo Xiuchen gently reassured, "Momo, I’ll take you back to your room. Let your mom go downstairs to get some medicine for you; you’ll feel better after taking it. Don’t be afraid, we’re here with you."
"Dad."
"Alright, once the test results are out tomorrow, I’ll take you abroad. For tonight, get a good night’s sleep." Mo Xiuchen helped Momo back to her room, and Wen Ran soon brought the medicine over, which Momo quickly drank.
Looking intently at Mo Xiuchen, she said, "Dad, could we leave now? I don’t want to wait till tomorrow."
Mo Xiuchen nodded at her tenderly, "Alright, I’ll make arrangements to take you away."
