Chapter 2288: Chapter 92: Let Them See His True Colors
Qin Qingqing arrived ten minutes before Momo.
She didn’t get out of the car, but sat inside waiting for Momo to arrive. The two walked into the café hand in hand.
Inside the café, Mo Xin saw Qin Qingqing come in with Momo and a trace of annoyance flashed in her eyes.
Qin Qingqing actually guarded against her.
“Qingqing said you were looking for her. Why didn’t you find Ziye to talk to, but came looking for Qingqing instead?”
Momo and Qin Qingqing approached the table where Mo Xin was seated but had no intention of sitting down. Instead, they looked down at Mo Xin.
That night, Momo saw the hatred in Mo Xin’s eyes.
Now, Mo Xin could no longer hide her emotions in front of her.
“I asked Qingqing to come out because I wanted to tell her everything. Momo, there’s no need for you to be so hostile towards me. I won’t do anything to Qingqing.”
Mo Xin stood up, looking at Momo with a face full of sadness.
The two slaps from that night still faintly hurt these past few days; she would always remember it in her heart.
Momo looked at her coldly, “Then tell us, Mo Xin, think it through carefully. Opportunities don’t come around often.”
She gestured at the sofa beside her, signaling Qingqing to sit inside.
She sat on the outside.
Her gaze remained fixed on Mo Xin’s face, “Over these years, Ziye didn’t find out nothing. The reason he called you back is because we grew up together and he wanted to give you another chance. If you don’t cherish it and once again commit harmful acts, from now on, you will be everyone’s enemy.”
Momo’s words made Mo Xin’s face change.
She mentioned being an enemy.
Not just simple expulsion from the Mo family, becoming strangers from then on.
Mo Xin grew up with Momo, and she knew Momo’s temperament well. She probably already considered her an enemy four years ago.
The bond of sisterhood for over twenty years could not compare to the place Qin Qingqing held in her heart.
Ultimately, is it because she is not her real sister?
“If you don’t trust me, there’s nothing I can do.”
Having finished speaking, Mo Xin also sat down.
Instead of looking at the glamorous Momo, she turned her gaze to Qin Qingqing, who was brought up under Mo Ziye’s protection and was much more innocent compared to Momo.
“I was actually used by someone back then.”
“Used by whom?”
Qin Qingqing took over the conversation as she wished.
She leaned slightly against the back of the sofa, looking at Mo Xin with mild eyes, listening to her speak with a slightly angry and self-reproachful tone, “Even if I tell you, you might not believe it, but I know Ziye is giving me the last chance because of our parents. It was Zhang Minghui who used me back then.”
“Brother Little Hui?”
Qin Qingqing was full of surprise.
“Yes, he has always liked you. Even now, he hasn’t thought of giving up on you. Qingqing, the reason you saw Ziye lying on the bed that day is because I drugged him, but his willpower was too strong…and that drug was from Zhang Minghui.”
“Do you have any evidence?”
Hearing this, Qin Qingqing recalled the scene when she opened the door and saw the rage began to stir in her heart again. When she thought that if not for those events, perhaps her mother wouldn’t have left her and her father, she felt even sadder.
“Precisely because there’s no evidence, I never mentioned it. Do you remember why you fell out with Ziye at that time?”
“Of course, I remember.”
“Those things were also Zhang Minghui’s doings. He followed Ziye around, yet he always envied Ziye’s talents and background and was even more jealous that you liked Ziye.”
Qin Qingqing instinctively shook her head.
She couldn’t accept everything Mo Xin was saying.
In her heart, Zhang Minghui had always been a warm, understanding big brother. From childhood to now, she treated him like her own brother, and he had always been very kind to her.
“I knew you wouldn’t believe it even if I said it. Although I don’t have evidence of what he did before, today I want to reveal Zhang Minghui’s true face to you.”
Mo Xin noticed Qin Qingqing’s doubt, paused, and added, “The reason I called you out today wasn’t to explain to Ziye but because I pretended to agree to Zhang Minghui’s request to help bring you and him together.”
“Mo Xin, what do you mean?”
Momo asked angrily.
Mo Xin smiled faintly, her face calm, “I said I pretended to agree to Zhang Minghui so you could see that everything from back then was his doing. It is even possible that Aunt An’s death is related to him.”
“What did you agree with Zhang Minghui to do, how are you helping him?” Momo glanced at Qin Qingqing beside her and asked again.
Mo Xin took a sip of her coffee, “You’ll find out shortly.”
Sure enough, after a couple of minutes, Qin Qingqing’s phone rang.
“Qingqing, who’s calling?”
Momo leaned over to take a look.
“Aunt Zhang.”
Qin Qingqing frowned and hesitated for two seconds, then pressed the answer button with her slender fingers and spoke in a calm voice, “Hello.”
“Qingqing, it’s Aunt Zhang. Can you come over to Little Hui’s place? His dad just went mad and threw all his stuff out. He’s very upset; can you come and help comfort him?”
On the phone, Wang Huanhuan’s pleading voice sounded urgent.
Qin Qingqing’s expression changed slightly as she looked at Mo Xin across the table.
“Aunt Zhang, isn’t Brother Little Hui at work at the company?”
Qin Qingqing answered with a question instead.
“I just told him, and he rushed back. Zhang Jinlei, that bastard, goes crazy and smashes Little Hui’s things. Qingqing, Little Hui always listens to you. Aunt is begging you to come and see him.”
Zhang Jinlei had smashed Zhang Minghui’s things in the past. Back then, Wang Huanhuan had asked for Qin Qingqing’s help just like now.
So, it wasn’t surprising that she used the same method today to find her.
Qin Qingqing wanted to find out if Zhang Minghui was deliberately setting things up as Mo Xin claimed.
And whether he was involved in the events four years ago.
She pursed her lips and said calmly, “Aunt, don’t worry. I will go over soon.”
“Okay, Qingqing, come quickly.”
After hanging up the phone, Qin Qingqing said to Momo, “Sister Momo, let’s go to Brother Little Hui’s house and see what’s really going on.”
“Mo Xin, let’s go, you’re coming with us.”
“I can’t go. If I go, Zhang Minghui will know I betrayed him, and he won’t carry on with his act. Remember to take the bodyguards upstairs, don’t let Zhang Minghui’s scheme succeed. I’ll wait for your call back at the hotel.”
What Mo Xin said made sense.
She said she was helping Zhang Minghui.
If it was true, then following them would indeed alert Zhang Minghui.
Moreover, she reminded them to bring bodyguards.
Momo stared at Mo Xin for two seconds, couldn’t see any guilt on her face, and temporarily believed her, “Mo Xin, Qingqing and I are going to Zhang Minghui’s house now. Let me say this upfront, if you dare to deceive us, I won’t let you off.”
Having said that, she pulled Qin Qingqing out of the café and drove towards Zhang Minghui’s house.
