Chapter 2166: Chapter 2165: Getting Up a Bit Later
In the master bedroom, the floor-to-ceiling curtains were tightly closed.
The dim and soft light gently illuminated the spacious bed.
In the air, a quiet stream of sweet happiness flowed.
The knocking at the door and Zhang Minghui’s excited shout awakened the two people sleeping soundly, the first to open his eyes being Wen Jin, who was sleeping on the outside.
His thick eyelashes fluttered slightly, and he slowly opened his eyes. The first thing he looked at was not the doorway, but the woman resting on his arm.
He hadn’t drunk too much last night, just a couple more drinks than usual, leaving him a bit tipsy at most. As a result, he clearly remembered everything he did the night before.
There was no blackout.
At this moment, seeing Jing Xiaocha’s slightly red cheeks in his arms, a layer of tenderness unconsciously rose in his heart as he thought about gently withdrawing his arm.
But then he noticed her eyelashes twitch slightly.
He chuckled silently and called out to Zhang Minghui at the door, “Little Hui, go downstairs first. I’ll be down in a moment.”
The person in his arms seemed to freeze a bit upon hearing his voice.
But her closed eyes didn’t open.
Outside, Zhang Minghui responded with a “Got it” and added, “Uncle Wen, my aunt hasn’t gotten up either. Could you call her to wake up later?”
Then he ran off.
Wen Jin turned his head to look at Jing Xiaocha, whose eyes were still closed, knowing she was already awake but probably too shy to open them.
The curve of his lips deepened, and a smile spread in his eyes as dark as ink. Compared to the innocent and younger Jing Xiaocha, Wen Jin was obviously much bolder.
“Xiaocha, are you planning to sleep until noon?”
He gave her forehead a gentle kiss, propping himself up with one arm, his upper body slightly elevated as he looked down at her.
Not wanting to open her eyes, Jing Xiaocha frowned slightly at his call, but her blushing face deepened in color.
Wen Jin chuckled lightly.
His warm breath burst onto her reddening cheeks.
Jing Xiaocha had no choice but to open her eyes.
Meeting her shy gaze, Wen Jin smiled gently, calling her name softly, “Xiaocha.”
“I…”
Jing Xiaocha struggled, trying to escape from his embrace.
Wen Jin smiled above her head, “Xiaocha, good morning.”
“Brother Wen, good morning.”
Upon hearing his words, Jing Xiaocha’s eyes twinkled, then immediately blossomed into a bright smile.
“Did you sleep well last night?”
Wen Jin gazed at her face, asking with concern.
“It was okay.”
“Little Hui just came upstairs looking for you, saying you hadn’t gotten up.”
When Wen Jin and Jing Xiaocha came downstairs, Zhang Minghui, sitting on the living room sofa, immediately stood up, smiling cheerfully, “Uncle Wen, you’re still amazing.”
Wen Jin raised an eyebrow gently, “How am I amazing?”
Saying this, he turned his gaze towards Jing Xiaocha.
“I went to knock on my aunt’s door just now, but there was no response. I thought my aunt had already gotten up, but it turns out you managed to wake her up, so that’s why you’re amazing.”
“That might be true.”
Wen Jin neither agreed nor disagreed, a smile of indeterminate meaning on his lips.
Jing Xiaocha’s eyes flickered slightly as she changed the subject, saying, “Little Hui, I can’t go to the set with you today; I have to go to the company.”
“Really? That’s a pity.”
“What’s to pity about that? Your aunt can accompany you to the set next time when she has time.” Wen Jin shook his head, chuckling.
Zhang Minghui thought about it, then nodded, “True. But Aunt, does your drama, which you plan to turn into a TV series, need children?”
“Do you want to act?”
Jing Xiaocha responded with a question, smiling as she walked to the front of the sofa.
