Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 1596: 1595 Foodie

Chapter 1596: 1595 Foodie

Wen Ran looked and found that not only Tongtong, but also Momo and Xinxin were not at all demure.

The cherries had their pits removed.

Eating two or three at a time didn’t affect anything.

“Why are you all so undemure? Eat slowly, no one’s going to snatch them from you.”

Wen Ran also reached out to grab the two little girls, Momo and Xinxin.

Ziyi protested, “Mom, I’m demure.”

“Pfft!”

Bai Yiyi couldn’t hold back and burst out laughing.

Ziyi really was the most demure; he not only ate one at a time, but also took one at a time, and ate with elegance and grace.

Compared to the three little foodies, Ziyi was clearly exhibiting noble manners.

Wen Ran blinked and then changed her tune to praise him, “Ziyi is indeed the most demure. Mommy was wrong earlier. It was Momo, Xinxin, and Tongtong who were not demure, not including Ziyi.”

“If you’re demure, then you don’t need to eat, we’ll finish them.”

Tongtong didn’t care about her own image at all.

Having played for so long, she was just a bit peckish, and when it came time to replenish energy, there was no room for courtesy or pretense.

“Tongtong, is that how you talk to your brother? You’re the big sister.”

Bai Yiyi looked at Tongtong with amusement. She had just stuffed her mouth with a handful of cherries, making her speech unclear.

Tongtong grinned apologetically, her eyes squinting from her smile.

She hadn’t even swallowed the cherries in her mouth, yet she reached out for more, prompting Bai Yiyi to grab her small hand, “Swallow what’s in your mouth before you grab more.”

“Mom, it’ll be gone in a moment.”

They say that food tastes best when you fight over it.

When at home, Tongtong never ate like this.

But every time at Ranran’s house, Tongtong lost her ladylike manners. Whether it was because all children behaved this way or Momo and Xinxin were influenced by Tongtong was unknown.

The three little girls were rougher than Ziyi the boy by many times as they competed for food.

“Yiyi, don’t block Tongtong, let her eat.”

Seeing Tongtong’s anxious face and wide eyes staring at the fruit platter, Wen Ran couldn’t help but laugh.

Tongtong was only held by one hand, not both, so she reached for the fruit platter with the other hand without waiting for Bai Yiyi to let go.

The fruit platter was small, and the cherries were finished by the group of little ones in no time.

“Tongtong, give Momo and Xinxin one each.”

At last, Tongtong was the only one with a handful left in her hand.

Seeing Momo and Xinxin eagerly eyeing the cherries in her hand, Tongtong reluctantly pursed her lips and distributed one cherry each to them, “Here, one each for us. Ziyi, do you want one?”

Her small hand had grabbed a big handful, but it was just four cherries.

Ziyi shook his head, “No, thanks.”

“If you don’t want them, I’ll eat them.”

Tongtong giggled, looked up at Wen Ran and Bai Yiyi, thought for a while, and then held a cherry in each hand, offering them to the two ladies.

“Mom, Auntie, here, you eat.”

Wen Ran showed a surprised expression, “Tongtong, you actually want to share the last two cherries with me and your mom? You’re not eating them yourself?”

“For Auntie and Mom.”

Only then did Tongtong remember that after the platter was emptied, neither her mom nor aunt had had a taste.

Wen Ran shook her head, her eyes soft with a smile, “Auntie doesn’t need it, Tongtong, eat them yourself, and when you’re finished, take your younger siblings to wash hands.”

“Mom, do you want any?”

In fact, Tongtong still wanted to fill the last two into her stomach.

No one knows a daughter better than her mother, and Bai Yiyi could easily see a hint of reluctance in Tongtong’s eyes.

She petted her daughter’s head indulgently, “Mom doesn’t need any either. You eat them, and once you’ve done, take your siblings to wash hands and we’ll visit Uncle Qin in the hospital.”

“Can I go find Dad?”

Upon hearing they were going to the hospital, the first thought in Tongtong’s mind was to find her handsome father.

“Sure.”

Bai Yiyi replied with a smile, feeling that Tongtong was closer to Gu Kai than to her.

Even though Tongtong was brought up by herself initially, after Gu Kai appeared, he easily captured Tongtong’s heart.

Upon arriving at the hospital, there were only Qin Mu and An Lin in the ward.

The head of the bed was slightly raised, and Qin Mu lay on it, holding An Lin’s hand with tender eyes fixed on her delicate features.

An Lin reclined in a chair, holding a book in one hand, reading aloud from its pages softly.

The curtains were half-drawn, letting sunlight pour into the room but not reaching the bed and the two people there.

The room was filled with warmth and romance.

If it weren’t for the noise from the little ones, they would’ve already made their entrance.

Wen Ran was considering retreating and coming back later.

Hearing the children’s voices outside, An Lin’s eyes flickered, and Qin Mu smiled, “It’s Momo and Tongtong’s voices.”

“It must be Ranran and Yiyi who have arrived.”

An Lin smiled, set her book down, and was about to stand to open the door.

The door was pushed open from the outside, and sure enough, it was Tongtong who rushed in first, followed by Momo and Xinxin, with Ziyi walking leisurely at the end, like a little adult.

“Aunt An!”

“Uncle Qin, we’ve come to see you.”

As the leader and the oldest, Tongtong naturally did the talking.

Momo and Xinxin merely chuckled and called out, “Aunt An, Uncle.”

Wen Ran and Bai Yiyi followed behind. Wen Ran was carrying a stainless steel thermos and raised it toward An Lin, “I had Nanny Zhang make some soup for Ah Mu.”

Previously, Wen Ran had always called Qin Mu by name, but after An Lin became pregnant and confirmed Qin Mu’s genuine feelings for her, she followed Mo Xiuchen’s lead in calling him Ah Mu.

An Lin took the thermos, opened it without hesitation, and served the soup to Qin Mu.

“Nanny Zhang’s soups are the best. Mo Xiuchen has been on a business trip for a week. How is the negotiation going?”

Qin Mu took a sip of soup before asking Wen Ran with concern.

“He said over the phone that it’s going pretty smoothly.” Wen Ran kept her answer simple, while Tongtong leaned over the bedside, eyeing the bowl in Qin Mu’s hand.

Sniffing with a heavy nose, she asked, “Uncle Qin, what kind of soup are you drinking? It smells so good.”

“Tongtong, come join your siblings in playing.”

Momo and Xinxin had been moved to another bed by Bai Yiyi, and hearing Tongtong’s remark, Bai Yiyi frowned and beckoned Tongtong over.

A glint of amusement flashed in Qin Mu’s eyes as he playfully smiled at Tongtong, “Tongtong, do you want some? Have Aunt An serve you a bowl.”

“She doesn’t need it.”

“I want it!”

Bai Yiyi wanted to cover Tongtong’s little mouth. This little foodie had just eaten at Ranran’s house, and was hungry again so soon?

“Tongtong, this soup Auntie brought is for Uncle Qin and Aunt An. If you want some, you can have some when we get back.”

Bai Yiyi composed herself and sternly lectured Tongtong.

Yet, as soon as she finished speaking, before Tongtong could protest, a voice called out from outside the door, “It’s not like we’re strangers; what’s there to hesitate about? If Tongtong wants some, let her have it. Worse comes to worst, Ah Mu will drink two fewer sips.”

Hearing this, Bai Yiyi turned her head in surprise to see Gu Kai, looking suave in his white coat, walking in from the doorway.
