Chapter 1502: 1501 A romantic brother is more like it.

“Xiaocha, why are you here? Didn’t your Brother Wen tell you not to come to the factory?”

Bai Yiyi hung up the phone and questioned Jing Xiaocha instead of answering.

Jing Xiaocha handed a cup of milk tea to Bai Yiyi and held one that she had already sipped twice, saying playfully, “I missed you, so I came back to see you specially.”)

“You missed me?”

Bai Yiyi chuckled, her gaze sweeping towards the door. When Jing Xiaocha came in, she hadn’t closed it, and she said deliberately, “President Wen, Xiaocha says she missed you.”

“Ah, Sister Yiyi, you actually tricked me.”

Upon hearing this, Jing Xiaocha immediately turned her head to look, and realizing she’d been fooled, she turned back, extended her hand over the desk, and tried to tickle Bai Yiyi.

Bai Yiyi dodged with a laugh, “Oh dear, Xiaocha, so you didn’t miss me, you missed President Wen instead?”

Jing Xiaocha pouted, her cheeks puffed up, and said angrily, “Sister Yiyi, you mustn’t talk nonsense again; I truly missed you, not Brother Wen.”

“You say you don’t miss him, but look at you blushing and calling Brother Wen every time, more intimately than Ranran.”

Bai Yiyi teased her and then immediately said, “Pause, pause, I won’t say anymore, and don’t tickle me, I’m most afraid of it.”

“Because I also regard Brother Wen as my dear brother, that’s why I call him so intimately,” Jing Xiaocha glared at Bai Yiyi.

Bai Yiyi sipped her milk tea and drawled, “Xiaocha, no matter how much you want a brother like President Wen, he cannot become your brother. Unless, it’s a lover brother.”

“Sister Yiyi, if you keep saying that, I won’t come to see you anymore.”

Jing Xiaocha’s face grew increasingly red, and the embarrassment and shyness of having her secret exposed made her less inexperienced and added a touch of charming allure.

Bai Yiyi saw her shy demeanor and stopped teasing her, instead changing the subject, “Xiaocha, are you getting used to university life?”

“I’ve only attended classes for one day, but I really like it.”

“Now that you’re studying, have you been accompanying Fang Zhiwei?”

Jing Xiaocha smiled and said, “Her next therapy session is this weekend, so I can accompany her then. Recently, Sister Fang has been in a good mood, thanks to Grandma Li; she often visits the elder care center.”

“That’s good, I hope she gets over it soon.”

Don’t grieve bitterly over a man who doesn’t love you.

Meanwhile, in A City, the news that Qin Zhongnan’s condition is improving and that he could wake soon spread rapidly at the hospital.

In the past few days, those visiting the hospital were turned away at the door by Qin Mu and the hospital staff with the reason that visiting was not suitable.

For two consecutive days, Qin Mu and his mother stayed at the hospital, never returning home even at night, because word spread in the hospital that Qin Zhongnan’s finger moved.

At noon the next day, An Lin delivered food to the hospital, and upon reaching the entrance, she heard someone calling her from behind, “Linlin.”

She turned to see Feng Wanfeng stepping out of a black sedan on the roadside, looking glamorous in a form-fitting dress, carrying a limited edition bag, and wearing five-inch heels. Anyone unaware would find it hard to believe she had just recently divorced.

Remembering what Qin Mu said that day, An Lin subtly furrowed her brow and teased, “Cousin, weren’t you in the Maldives? Why did you come back?”

An Lin saw Feng Wanfeng approaching and smiled teasingly.

Feng Wanfeng’s beautiful eyes swept over the insulated food container in An Lin’s hand, raised her brows, and said with a smile, “Got tired of being there, so I came back. Just off the plane, I heard Old Man Qin is about to wake up, and I knew you’d be here, so I didn’t go home and came straight to the hospital.”

Her implication was that she came to see her father-in-law.

An Lin’s smile disappeared and an expression of worry appeared, “About to wake up, yet not actually awake. The doctor isn’t allowing visits right now.”

“Why aren’t visits allowed?”

Feng Wanfeng looked at An Lin in surprise, “Then I’ll go see Aunt Qin; Qin Mu’s also here, right?”

“They’re both in the hospital.”

An Lin raised the food container, “My mother-in-law hasn’t wanted to go home these past two days, constantly staying at the hospital, saying she wants to ask my father-in-law who called him before he got injured once he wakes up.”

Seemingly casually speaking, she sighed after finishing her sentence.

Upon hearing this, a flicker appeared in Feng Wanfeng’s eyes, and she grasped An Lin’s hand, asking with concern, “Linlin, did Uncle Qin receive any important calls before his injury?”

“I don’t know, only my father-in-law knows.”

An Lin pulled her hand away from Feng Wanfeng’s grasp, “Cousin, I won’t chat with you now; I have to deliver food to Ah Mu and my mother-in-law, or they’ll be hungry. You must be tired after getting off the plane; head home and rest. When my father-in-law’s condition stabilizes, you can come to see him.”

“Guess that’s all I can do.”

With a shrug of her shoulders, Feng Wanfeng didn’t insist, waved at An Lin, and turned to walk towards the roadside.

An Lin waved back at her, holding the food container as she walked into the hospital.

Taking the elevator upstairs, she saw Tang Yang standing by the window, with his back upright, exuding a strong and resolute aura.

“Tang Yang.”

She called out, and Tang Yang turned around, his expression cool and tranquil. After staring at An Lin for two seconds, he asked, “What did she say to you?”

An Lin blinked and calmly said, “She just got back from the Maldives, saying she came straight to the hospital after getting off the plane.”

Next to them, the door of the lounge opened, and Qin Mu walked out. He glanced at Tang Yang then at An Lin, “An Lin, why did Feng Wanfeng come alone? Didn’t she go on vacation with her son?”

An Lin shook her head blankly, “I forgot to ask earlier, but it seemed like she was alone in the car.”

Qin Mu couldn’t care less as he took the food container from her hand, “It’s fine; it’s good that she came.”

An Lin followed him into the lounge, and Tang Yang also entered, pulling out a chair and sitting down. He watched Qin Mu set out the meals on the table and said coolly, “She doesn’t seem to have an ounce of post-divorce sadness.”

Upon hearing this, Qin Mu turned his head with an ambiguous glance at Tang Yang, “She told An Lin before that after the divorce, she came to terms with it.”

“Came to terms?” Tang Yang sneered, a smirk playing at his lips, “Of all the women in the world who could come to terms, Feng Wanfeng can’t possibly be one.”

Doesn’t he know her well enough? She would even sacrifice her life for Yao Dewei.

“Ah Mu, if Yao Xinmin indeed hired the sniper to harm your dad, then Feng Wanfeng came earlier to gather information.”

Mother Qin paused at this point, her gaze shifting from Qin Mu to An Lin, watching her closely and saying, “An Lin, you have a good relationship with your cousin. Find a chance to test her.”

“Mom, Yang will be responsible for investigating.” Qin Mu slightly furrowed his brows and spoke calmly.

“Yang is responsible, but Ah Mu, your dad is still lying in the hospital. Finding evidence quickly and uncovering the person who harmed your dad would be better, right? Since you all suspect it’s Yao Xinmin, and Feng Wanfeng came to the hospital today too, it’s harmless to let An Lin test her, isn’t it, An Lin?”
