First Legendary Tamer: Starting with 100x Growth Rate
Chapter 137: Up to the second
“But does that mean she made a deal with that Sungrade boy?”
The place they had gathered in was a big classroom.
There were hundreds of magic screens before them playing the feeds of the tests going on in different areas.
The tests were being conducted simultaneously without any time restrained in a special domain. The mental world was specifically the location for the first test.
Once everyone was done with their tests, those who passed would be moved to the next test.
Their abilities and stat scores were primarily recorded before the first test but they would get to see where their powers stand in the second test.
Those who reach the second test do mostly pass it and are allowed to challenge the third test.
Most people do it just to see where they are or to gather as many points as they can before starting their academic lives. But thanks to the new system boundaries, all who passed the second test will be forced to the third test area.
They will then be tricked into revealing everything they have and lastly, they will be assigned into certain positions either as students or as the ones that look after them.
“I don’t think a child like him can make deals with that woman.”
“I’ve seen a bird speaking throughout the academy, I won’t refuse to believe you if you say that boy is more than what we see here.”
“He’s strange.”
“Just look at those test statistics. Don’t you find it absurd?”
There were difficult tests, there were impossible tests, and then there was an absurd level of difficulty that did not make sense to any of the people watching these tests.
The system tested those who had the potential to challenge unconventional tests with leveled scenarios.
The difficulty of each level was several times worse than the previous one.
As they could see, the highest level among these unique tests was (Level-3). A level that was difficult even for someone at the Teaching level within a certain school.
But Sam, the young Sungrade boy, had just faced a test that had 10-levels.
The details of the entire test were made confidential by the system accessible only to those holding a rank higher than a Dean’s.
And that fact alone made the teachers hesitant about the contents of that test.
“The way his vitals were playing hopscotch suggests the boy must have been in severe distress throughout the test.”
They were considering the possibility that the boy had almost died several times as well. But, to them, the needed factual data to confirm it was not available.
They just thought about what could be the case and what things could cause these changes. But they gave up ultimately.
The first test was still just the beginning so even if the system can hide the data of the first test, it cannot do anything about the scores from the second test onwards.
“Let’s bet on what rank he gets.”
“I say he becomes a Scholar.”
“Hey, quit it! He’s just a boy.”
“Even the upgraded system can make mistakes. We are talking about someone who’s said to have EDS as well.”
“He has powerful beasts under him. He surely is a strong one.”
“We cannot be certain of that.”
The teachers observing the test takers were in a good spirit even though the new transparent system was hiding a certain boy’s test details.
There must be some things that the teachers are better off not knowing.
Seeing as how he was from an important noble family of the central continent, he could surely be tied to things the knowledge of which could get them in trouble.
They were academy teachers but at the same time, they were also vulnerable individuals when it came to matters of the nobility.
There were few assimilators in the world and his father was one of them as well… messing with him was a bad idea to begin with.
“But still.”
“I say he will become a Senior Lecturer in ten years.”
“Huh?”
Ian was among the people observing the test as well. And as his brother, as well as someone from the academy, he wanted to support that boy.
Yes a few things have happened here and there but that’s just the adventures one needs to experience in their youth.
He was fine even after going through that ten level test so, he wasn’t worried about him. On the other hand, he knew Sam wanted to teach in the academy.
He was a great teacher. Better than most he had seen in fact.
After he came back to the academy after their father’s birthday, he was waiting for their arrival.
And now that he was giving the test, he wanted to see just how far he goes.
“Oh~! Are we playing bets~! Hehehe~! I wanna bet as well~!”
The headmaster was not here but this is Stanox.
She was here and there and everywhere. She was in the wind and she was in the rocks. In the academy, the headmaster was a near omnipresent being.
But playing bets wasn’t something she should be doing right now.
[The headmaster is advised to go back to her bed.]
The ones who heard this familiar mechanical voice were the rest of the teachers including the one the voice spoke to.
The voice publicly announced that the headmaster wasn’t well right now.
But if they considered what changes had been brought to the academy system, it was obvious that she’d be tired.
Rest was needed for recovery even if she was a transcendental being.
“Yes headmaster, go rest.”
“Headmaster!”
They cared about her even if she made their lives a soft hell.
For each one of these amazing teachers, the Prime headmaster was the greatest teacher there was.
“Looks like she’s gone.”
They waited for a moment to confirm whether she was gone or not. At least, she would stop speaking if she knew she had to focus on recovery.
She would still know everything going on in the academy so, the teachers at least played in a little relief.
“Anyways…”
The first test had been concluded with around fourth percent of the participants dropping out from the get go.
The bigger impurities were cleaned up now, so the remaining bunch was being moved to the next test area.
-Oooooooooooooong.
But just like how the first test zone was different from what each of the observers knew, there were certain differences in the second test area as well.
“Haaaa… haaaa…”
Sadly, Sam wasn’t at his 100% to enjoy the second test area that, strangely, resembled the children’s play zone.
