First Intergalactic Emperor: Starting With The Ancient Goddess
Chapter 563: Just a Normal Interrogation
"Details!"
"Biological keys!" the traitor screamed. "The leaders of our mutiny locked the vault using their own retinal scans and blood markers. They rule the underground market on Vandermis Aventine now. They operate out of the VIP sectors. You need them to open the doors."
Reva stepped forward and inspected her sharp talons. "So we just need to rip their eyes out and drain their blood. That sounds incredibly simple."
Lyra leaned against the wall with a confident smirk. "We take a vacation to a casino planet, kill a few traitors, and loot a bank. I am completely on board with this plan."
Viola shook her head in absolute disbelief. "You two have no idea what you are dealing with. The private military on that planet fields orbital strike teams and employs reality-warping tech for basic crowd control. It is a fortress."
Xavier ignored her warning to keep his gaze locked on the captive. "Who holds the biological keys? Give me their names and their exact locations."
The traitor wheezed and gave up the rest of his former crew. He listed three names, described their penthouse suites, and explained their daily routines in the casino district. He surrendered the vault's floor plans and the security bypass codes they used to hide the stolen loot.
Xavier logged the information into his data pad. He had everything he needed.
"You promised to let me live," the traitor begged. He looked up at Xavier with desperate, tear-filled eyes.
"I did," Xavier said. He turned his back and walked toward the interrogation room door. "I am letting you live. But Kylus makes his own decisions."
The mutineer's eyes went wide with pure terror.
Kylus stepped forward and ignited his thermal cutter. The opalescent Aurelian smiled as he raised the superheated blade high above his head.
"This is for Bull," Kylus said.
Xavier stepped into the corridor just as the metal door sealed shut behind him. The traitor's final scream echoed briefly down the hall before fading into complete silence.
Suddenly, Lyra and Reva blocked his path, their eyes locked on each other in a fierce glare.
"I secured twenty-four kills," Lyra stated. She crossed her arms and smirked at the vampire. "I clearly won the bet."
"You shot grunts from a catwalk," Reva countered. She bared her fangs and stepped closer. "I tore twenty-two men apart with my bare hands. Close-quarters combat holds far more value."
Lyra shoved Reva's shoulder. "A kill is a kill, leech."
Reva retaliated instantly. She lunged forward with her talons extending in a blur of crimson speed. Lyra sidestepped the strike as demonic fire flared over her knuckles, swinging a blazing fist toward the vampire's jaw.
'I don't know what happened to them. They used to be like sisters, but now they act like enemies.' Xavier was unaware of the fact that he was the very reason for that.
Xavier moved between them before the blow could land. He caught Lyra's burning wrist in his left hand and clamped his right hand firmly around Reva's throat. The golden starlight of his Emperor's aura flared to instantly neutralize their aggressive energy.
"Enough," Xavier commanded. He looked at both of them. "You both tore through that base exactly as I ordered. You both earned the reward."
Lyra dropped her flames and grinned. Reva retracted her talons, a victorious gleam lighting up her crimson eyes.
"Two hours each," Xavier said. He released Reva and pulled Lyra toward him by her waist. "You are up first."
Xavier hauled Lyra down the corridor and pushed her through the doors of her personal quarters. The metal panels locked behind them.
Immediately, Lyra spun around to face him with her icy blue eyes flashing in anticipation, reaching for the zipper of her tactical bodysuit.
Xavier batted her hands away. He gripped the collar of her suit and pulled the zipper down himself to expose her collarbone and the curve of her chest. He backed her up against the steel bulkhead and captured her lips in a kiss.
Lyra let out a muffled gasp. She wrapped her arms tightly around his neck and pulled him closer to match his dominant energy. Xavier slid his hands down her sides and pushed the dark fabric off her shoulders. The bodysuit pooled around her waist as her skin radiated an intense demonic heat that was making her horny.
He lifted her off the floor. Lyra immediately wrapped her legs around his waist and buried her hands in his hair. Xavier carried her across the room and dropped her onto the mattress, following her down to pin her wrists above her head.
He looked down at her flushed face and tapped the chronometer on his wrist.
"Your two hours start right now," Xavier said.
He spent the next one hundred and twenty minutes completely dismantling her cocky attitude, thoroughly utilizing every inch of her body until she was a breathless, tangled mess on the sheets.
When the chronometer beeped, Xavier stood up and pulled his clothes back on. He left Lyra asleep in her bed and walked directly down the hall to Reva's quarters.
The door chimed and slid open, as if it was waiting for him.
Reva lounged across her silk sheets, stripped of her combat gear and wearing only a sheer crimson robe. She traced her lower lip with a sharp talon and smiled as he walked inside.
"I was beginning to think she drained you," Reva teased.
"It takes a lot more than that," Xavier replied. He stripped off his shirt and tossed it onto the floor.
He crossed the room and pulled Reva up by her waist. She immediately wrapped her arms around his shoulders and leaned in to scrape her fangs lightly against his neck. The bloodline art coursing through her veins made her skin cool to the touch.
Xavier grabbed her hips and spun her around, pressing her back flush against the mattress. He climbed over her and forced her legs apart with his knees. Reva arched her back and dug her manicured nails into his shoulders, entirely surrendering her predatory instincts to his control.
"You were complaining that I don't last long, right? Show me exactly what a high-born vampire can do with two hours," Xavier demanded.
Reva pulled his face down to hers, and he claimed his second victory of the night.
