First Intergalactic Emperor: Starting With The Ancient Goddess
Chapter 560: Living the Prophecy
The transaction began in the morning and continued through the afternoon and deep into the next day. That continued for a few more days. They remained locked inside the captain’s quarters for seven full days, ordering food and drinks to sustain the immense physical toll of the data transfer.
Now, the 7th night had arrived.
Xavier opened his eyes to stare at the reinforced ceiling of his quarters
Xalvoria lay asleep beside him with her crimson hair spilled across the pillows. The blackened veins on her neck were completely gone, replaced by a healthy, stabilized glow. The power of Zephyros had successfully purged the rot from her lineage.
Suddenly, the metal door hissed open, and Lyra walked into the room wearing a tight tactical bodysuit. Her aura felt far more intense than before as if she was getting used to her newly acquired powers.
“If you are awake, you should have come down already,” Lyra said as she folded her arms.
Xavier sat up on the edge of the bed. His body surged with the refined energy of the Goddess. He looked up at Lyra.
“Why don’t you get in bed instead?” Xavier asked. “I will give you the dick you love so much.”
Lyra sighed and crouched in front of him. Her icy blue eyes dropped. She reached for his clothes on the nearby chair, letting her hand slide up his thigh to wrap her fingers around him. She gave him a playful squeeze.
“Still hard,” she muttered. “Did you miss me that much? We just had a quickie earlier this morning when I came to inform you that we raided the Crimson Heaven warship on the way.”
“I am still angry about that. I am the captain. How can you make a decision to attack a warship or engage in any battle without my permission?”
“Kylus said we could. Since you were busy engaging with the empress, we didn’t want to disturb you.”
She stood up and dressed him. She pulled his pants up and smoothed the fabric around his waist before sliding his dark shirt over his arms and brushing a speck of dust from his chest.
“After what you pulled in the last seven days, I thought you would sleep for a week,” Lyra said as she stepped back to inspect her work. “You fucked the Empress of the First Pillar. That is an achievement worth dying over.”
“Is the report ready?” Xavier asked.
They walked out of the room together. The wide corridor pulsed with lights beneath their boots.
“We found the traitor who turned on Bull,” Lyra said with a professional tone. “He is hiding in an underground base beneath a mountain ridge. I ordered the squad to hold their fire. They are waiting for your command.”
“Good. I will pull that bastard out myself.” Xavier adjusted his cuffs. “Then he is yours. Do whatever you want to him. Just make sure to rip the location of the next fragment out of his lungs.”
They reached the large airlock at the end of the hall. Red lights flashed as the system scanned them. Lyra tapped the control panel.
“The dropship is ready,” Lyra said.
Xavier raised his hand. “I do not need it.”
The steel doors slid open to reveal the open sky. The ship hovered several hundred feet above a mountain range. Xavier stepped off the edge. His body dropped like a missile, cutting through the sky with total control.
“He abuses his powers too much.” Lyra cursed under her breath and jumped into the open sky right after him.
Lyra smashed into the earth like a cannonball, cracking the soil beneath her boots and sending a ring of dust outward. Her armor absorbed the majority of the force as the impact shook the ground, whereas Xavier touched down like a falling feather.
He landed in complete silence, standing upright as though gravity held no power over him.
A female voice crackled through the radio. Reva sounded profoundly annoyed.
“Did you two seriously jump out of the spaceship?”
Lyra clicked her comms. “He jumped first.”
A pause followed.
“Xavier, you are abusing the power again,” Reva said.
He rolled his shoulders. “It is called utilizing.”
“You are utilizing nothing if there are alternatives available.”
Xavier smirked. “You never complain when I use it during sex.”
Static filled the channel before Reva replied with a flustered tone. “That is a completely different topic. I will be heading down too.”
The transmission cut off, and about two minutes later, Reva joined them.
As they walked toward the camp, Lyra pulled out a small orb that projected a blue holographic interface filled with scrolling data, maps, and blinking points of interest.
“Brief it,” Xavier ordered.
Lyra pointed to the projection. “The underground base was a classified military vault built a thousand years ago. It sits buried under reinforced hyper-titanium layers. The exterior features an adaptive camouflage field synced with tectonic vibrations to remain invisible to drones and scans. The auto-defense systems are still online and likely running on a dormant nuclear core.”
“Why did the military abandon it?” Xavier asked.
“The technology became outdated. After the Arc-Genesis Protocol, the military moved everything critical to Planet HZ-9 and left this base behind.” Lyra shut the orb.
They approached the makeshift camp, navigating past collapsed structures, mobile barricades, and glowing energy coils. The rest of the crew was regrouping and running checks on their equipment.
“Hmm? Klatos is not here?” Xavier glanced around.
“He is… feeling weak due to his injuries.” Viola responded. “We have decided to get him to the hospital once our job here has ended.”
“Hmm…”
Requiem walked over holding a data pad to show him the environmental readouts. “This planet’s radiation is borderline acceptable right now. Toxic levels are rising rapidly. We have a maximum of two hours before our filters fail.”
Xavier gave a nod.
Viola stepped forward and tucked his helmet under his arm. “Captain, we should use the ship’s railgun to blow the mountain apart. It will crack the shell and maybe wipe them out.”
“We need the traitor alive,” Xavier said.
