First Immortal of the Sword

Chapter 2820 - Aren’t You Fucking Done Yet?

Chapter 2820 – Aren’t You Fucking Done Yet?

The girl looked confused. “Big Brother, what do you mean, it isn’t enough?”

Su Yi laughed. “You might not be able to fake the landscape of your heart, but I don’t understand you well enough yet. It’s only natural that I’d have reservations.”

The girl blinked her clear, guileless eyes and said solemnly, “Big Brother, no matter your conditions, I’ll agree to them if it means you’ll get me out of here.”

Su Yi rubbed his forehead and asked, “What would you do if I refused?”

The girl froze, the light in her eyes dimming, and pursed her lips. Two lines of tears silently poured down her cheeks.

She curled into a ball, wrapping her arms around her knees, and murmured, “I might well go insane, or perhaps I’d cast aside my reservations and do my utmost to destroy you?”

She lowered her head, her voice choked with sobs. “I… I don’t know what would happen. I just know that if you don’t take me with you, I’ll… completely lose control.”

Su Yi narrowed his eyes. Her pain, bewilderment, and grief did nothing to sway him. He was just wondering one thing. Why is she so certain that I can help her escape?

The atmosphere was stifled.

Su Yi sat there, drinking and pondering. It was only after finishing his jug of wine that he reached a decision. He flipped his palm and outlined a diagram in midair. Within moments, an Edict floated into view. The Divine Hunt Edict! The diagram was inscrutable, and it seemed as enormous as an abyss.

“This is the Divine Hunt Edict. My mastery is preliminary at best, but I’ve grasped some of its mysteries,” explained Su Yi.

During his three years cultivating in the Blueleaf Sword Sect, Su Yi grasped a portion of the Divine Hunt Edict’s mysteries. Now, he could outline its diagram and summon it at will.

“Would you dare permit me to insert this Edict into your soul?” said Su Yi.

The words had barely left his mouth when the girl walked up and fused the Edict into her soul. Su Yi was stunned. He calmed his heart and sensed that the Edict had indeed transformed into a mark on her soul. So long as he willed it, he could transform it into a cage at whim, sealing her soul completely.

Back in the Blueleaf Continent’s Huaihuang Empire, the sword Great Sorrow and its spirit, the boy in green, had been sealed similarly, trapped in a separate time and space. The little girl had effectively just shackled herself of her own free will!

She looked up at him. “Is this good enough, Big Brother?”

Su Yi couldn’t help but doubt himself. Perhaps I’m being overly cautious?

But then, he steeled himself, extracted a wisp of the Sword of the Nine Hells’ power, and condensed it in the palm of his hand.

This time, the girl suddenly retreated, moving further away, her innocent eyes widening with unconcealed terror. Her frail figure tensed.

“Dare you let me place a wisp of his sword qi in your Dao Heart?” asked Su Yi.

The little girl’s face paled. She pursed her lips and clenched her tiny fists. Unease was written all over her face, and the rims of her eyes misted with tears. “Big Brother, could…”

But before she could say anything more, Su Yi shook his head. His gaze was incontrovertibly firm.

The girl fell silent. After a while, she took a deep breath, then closed her eyes. “Very well!”

Su Yi flicked his fingertip. The aura of the Sword of the Nine Hells enveloped a wisp of the power of his Heart Soul, then vanished. A moment later, the blood-soaked landscape of the little girl’s heart shook violently. The little girl curled up beside the dried-up well trembled uncontrollably, terror and dread written all over her face. She now saw a mysterious sword hovering there, repressing the dried-up well beside her!

The landscape of the little girl’s heart shook violently. Heaven and earth shifted, and the entire bloody, baleful world seemed like it might well split at any moment.

Meanwhile, Su Yi watched as the girl’s face paled. Her scrawny frame swayed as if about to fall, and her innocent, guileless eyes overflowed with tears. She looked aggrieved and overcome with agony.

A long time passed before she wiped away her tears and stared at him like a helpless baby animal.

Su Yi shook his head. “There’s still one last step.”

The little girl reacted as if she’d been struck by lightning. Still!?

She then watched as Su Yi flipped his palm, and a rusted sword sheath floated into the air.

The moment the little girl laid eyes on the rusted sheath, she seemed to break down. She shrieked, “Aren’t you fucking done yet?”

That pitiful little face was now hideously contorted with anger.

When Su Yi saw this, he actually smiled in relief. It’s just as I thought. All of her piteousness and helplessness was an act! She might really be afraid of me, and she likely really does want me to help her escape this prison, but there’s no way she’ll really submit to me! She just sees me as her ticket out of the Sin-Severing Dungeon. The moment she gets what she wants, she’ll turn on me! She plans to dismantle the bridge as soon as she’s crossed the river!

“You’ve dropped the act, huh?” Su Yi laughed coldly.

The little girl’s gaze was utterly cold, her once innocent, clear eyes now full of loathing, murderous intent, and strange, bloody light. The depths of her pupils were full of bloodlust and malevolence, like a dense ocean of carnage. Her very presence transformed, making the entire third level of the dungeon shake violently. The air shattered, and dense murderous intent swept forth like a windstorm. The storm spread, and soon, even the first level was shaking. Wisps of blood-red light appeared throughout the dim hallways and cramped cells.

The dozen or so Sin Souls trapped inside panicked.

The black-robed Daoist, Xuan Zhong, gasped. “That kid seriously provoked the ruler of the dungeon!?”

Cen Xinghe fell into a brief daze, then burst into laughter. “My ancestor sure is fierce! Throughout the ages, even during the Devastation, who else has even been capable of provoking the master of all evils?”

He looked utterly gratified. “Even if I lose my bet, I’ll at most wind up another of her toys, just like Ol’ Ru Ya and the others, but if I win…”

His eyes sparkled, and he slapped the door of his cell. “As his grandson, I’m sure that my ancestor will see fit to get me out of here!”

The other Sin Souls didn’t know what to say to that.

Meanwhile, on the third level of the dungeon, the little girl’s tattered clothes were now blood-red, as if they’d been soaked in an ocean of blood. Strange, unsettling, malevolent power gave rise to unearthly black flowers and hovered around her. Her presence was terrifying beyond imagination.

“Big Brother, I treated you with sincerity, but you refused to accept my kindness, and you refused to see sense. Now I’m angry!” The little girl fixed her blood-red gaze on Su Yi and exhaled.

The Divine Hunt Edict he’d placed in her soul blurred into a beam of light, then hovered in front of her.

“The Divine Hunt Edict can indeed restrict all Daos and slaughter all malevolent beings, but you’ve only grasped the barest hint of its power. I might have needed to be cautious if you were a Heavenly Monarch, but in your hands, the Divine Hunt Edict isn’t even worth looking at that!”

As her derisive laughter rang out, the Divine Hunt Edict shattered with a bang. Then, the girl placed her hand on her chest. Her little face suddenly paled, but she nonetheless gnashed her teeth, her face hideously contorted, and lifted her hand from her chest. She’d actually extracted that wisp of the Sword of the Nine Hells power!

However, she clearly paid an enormous price to do so. The countless black flowers hovering around her dimmed, and many of them even withered. Even her vital energy was thrown into disarray. Blood gushed from her lips!

But she just laughed coldly. “That sword qi is terrifying, to the point that I almost regretted letting you place it in my heart. I was worried that it’d be enough to threaten me. Unfortunately for you…”

“That was just a tiny wisp of its power!” She tightened her grip, and that wisp of sword qi shattered. Her eyes blazed with bloody light and monstrous malevolence. “What can you possibly do to me now?”

Now, for the first time since Su Yi had met her, she looked the part of the ruler of the Sin-Severing Dungeon and the source of all evils.

Su Yi smiled and exerted his will.

Boom!

The Sword of the Nine Hells floated into the air.

“If a wisp of sword qi isn’t enough, what about the entire sword?” Su Yi asked calmly.

“???” The girl stared at the Sword of the Nine Hells in a daze and murmured, “If you could do that, why not say so earlier? Despicable! You’re just despicable! How could someone so shameless exist in this world?”

Her knees thudded to the ground. There was no sign of her earlier ferocity; on the contrary, she looked just like the pitiful little girl in ragged clothing that Su Yi had first met.

Tears streamed down her cheeks as she sobbed, “Big Brother, I give in! Whatever you want, I’ll do it!”

The shift was far too dramatic, but Su Yi thought nothing of it. He’d never mistaken the “origin of all sins” for an ordinary person. That was why he’d been on guard against her this entire time, and why he wouldn’t agree to her requests lightly. He didn’t lower his guard even after she admitted defeat.

His gaze was calm and cold. “Tell me, then. Are you really afraid of the sword or the sheath?”

“I’m really afraid of both of them!” said the girl. “The moment I laid eyes on you, I sensed that you had a power capable of destroying me. Only now do I realize that it wasn’t one power, but rather, two!”

She looked utterly aggrieved.

And it was no wonder. Who could have imagined that an Unfettered Realm sword cultivator would possess two such terrifying trump cards? Others played the pig to eat the tiger, but this guy was obviously “playing the ant to eat an elephant!”

“Which one are you more afraid of, then?” asked Su Yi.

The girl hesitated, then answered honestly. “The sword’s power is terrifying, but your cultivation isn’t enough to display its true power. That sheath looks like scrap metal, but I can’t see through it at all, and the sight of it fills me with inexplicable dread.”

It was then that a voice emanated from the sheath. “Are you blind? You’re the scrap metal. Can’t you tell that this sheath is really a pearl buried in mud?”

The corners of Su Yi’s lips twitched. A pearl buried in mud? Are you trying to say that I’m desecrating a heavenly treasure just by owning the sheath? He’s insulting both the girl and me at once! Impressive!

The little girl quivered from head to toe, and this time, it was no mere act. Because she could sense the aura of the heart devil in the rusted sheath! And it was so terrifying that it filled even the incarnation of all evils with deep-seated dread!
