Chapter 79 Lisa & Valerie.
Lisa tried to run, but Atticus was a stage two evolved and she was only an unevolved lesser dragon.
She was easily subdued, her mana was sealed and she was locked in the cellar underneath their house, chained to a stone wall.
Everyday without fail, he would violate her while also keeping her drugged so that she was not in the right state of mind to use her transformation.
After two years, he finally noticed her stomach was beginning to bulge and he realized that he’d been successful.
She was finally pregnant.
In his haste to report his success, Atticus neglected to lock the door to the cellar or her shackles.
Lisa was barely sober enough to crawl her way out of the cellar where she stumbled into the streets at night, completely naked and shivering.
It was there that she came across Valerie who, coincidentally, was also fleeing from someone.
Lisa could barely speak or tell Valerie exactly what was wrong. All she could tell her was that she desperately needed to get away.
Draping the naked woman in a cloak, Valerie all but carried the exhausted and battered stranger that she’d just met.
Together they traveled to the border between the demon continent and the human continent.𝒪𝐯𝔩xt.𝗇et
With their potential freedom in sight, suddenly they realized they were being pursued by a large hunting party led by Atticus and another man that Valerie immediately recognized.
It looked like it would be the end for both of the poor women but fortune had not abandoned the women just yet.
The torches carried by the hunting party had alerted the demons that were patrolling the border.
Soon a great battle ensued and the two women were able to slip away, but not before Atticus screamed loudly into the night that he would chase her to the ends of the earth if he had to.
He would collect what he was owed by any means.
Eventually, the girls were able to stowaway on a trade ship that was heading toward Antares.
Once there, Valerie was able to make a name for herself and earn a decent amount of money with her talents as a blacksmith.
She bought her own shop and the girls lived together like that for a while.
Once Mira was born, Valerie purchased her friend the bookstore that also became her home.
Her excuse was that she didn’t need a baby crying every time she brought a man or two home at night, but Lisa knew the woman well enough to see that she was trying to truly give her a fresh start.
Even though the two had a horrible circumstance behind their meeting, the two forged a bond stronger than diamond and they were truly like family to each other.
Lisa would always see Valerie as the woman who saved not only her life, but the life of her wonderful daughter as well.
–
When Lisa finished telling her story, silence filled the room.
No one spoke.
They barely breathed.
Lailah, Bekka and Exedra who were hearing this story for the first time were directing all of their energy into suppressing their boiling rage.
“Disgusting humans…” Bekka’s voice came out demonic and her eyes became such a vibrant orange that they resembled suns. “I will feast on the marrow of his bones!”
While Bekka was seething with rage, Lailah simply wrapped Lisa in a warm hug and said nothing.
While she was surprised by such a gesture, she was not at all displeased and instead found it to be incredibly comforting.
She’d never spoken about her past like this to anyone so she was worried about how it might go but seeing the reactions of her family, she didn’t feel judged or pitied she just felt… cared for.
She loved her new family even more now.
‘But… I don’t think I’ve ever seen him like this before.’
When Lisa looked at Exedra, for the first time ever she became slightly afraid of him.
While she was not afraid that he would hurt her, she could feel it in her bones.
The man in front of her would commit unspeakable atrocities and there was not a force in this world that would be powerful enough to stop him.
Exedra’s body was trembling yet his face was eerily calm.
His eyes were so intense that no one would’ve been surprised if lasers came out of them in the next minute.
They contained an unfathomable anger and his blood, his soul demanded vengeance!
His wife!
His daughter!
Their lives in the clutches of a sniveling disgusting human?!
It was unthinkable!
It was unforgivable!
He would hang him with his own entrails!
Strip the flesh from his bones and incinerate him down to even the atoms!
He would raze the entire city to the ground for failing to protect the women he loved!
Lisa gently slipped out of Lailah’s hug and crawled towards her husband before taking his face in her delicate hands.
The concerned look on Lisa’s face as well as her familiar scent of honey was just barely enough to break Exedra out of his bloody spiral.
Lisa did not say anything to her husband.
She simply stared into his eyes that were slowly losing their intense luster.
He slowly placed his hands on both of hers and closed his eyes to enjoy the feeling of her warmth and her touch.
‘That’s right… the time for revenge will come later… for now I just have to be here for her.’
“Will you be okay if we return?” Exedra asked through shallow breaths.
Lisa suddenly gave him a funny look and began to pinch and pull his perfect and smooth cheeks. “How could I possibly be scared when I have the most handsome and powerful dragon in the world for a husband? I know you would never let anything happen to me, and I am not that same defenseless woman I used to be.”
Exedra chucked when he heard his wife’s childish description of him and Lisa leaned in and pressed her forehead against his.
“My place is beside you my love. Wherever you are is where I am most comfortable. “
Exedra could tell by the pure white color of his wife’s aura that she really meant it.
‘How can one man be so lucky?’
He placed a soft delicate kiss on her lips before he pushed her down and climbed on top of her.
Lisa naturally recognized the desire radiating in his eyes and tenderly reached up to touch his cheek.
“Make me forget.”
That was all Exedra needed to hear as he began to assault Lisa’s body with an unseen intensity and drive.
He would oblige her request and leave her unable to think about any other man but him.
He would be her past, present, and future.
Exedra would thoroughly ensure that there was no room for her to think about anything else other than the pleasure that he could give her.
Bekka and Lailah watched as Exedra hungrily assailed Lisa’s body and her screams gradually began to fill up the room.
“I can’t decide if I’m jealous that he’s so focused on her or relieved that he’s not attacking me with that same intensity.” Bekka muttered as she watched Exedra drill into Lisa furiously.
“Same…” Lailah wore the same absentminded look on her face as the two sat side by side and watched the two of them have sex.
The pair watched the two of them for what felt like hours before Lisa passed out and he turned his gaze toward them and beckoned them closer.
The witch and the beastkin both gave simultaneous gulps before also saying a small prayer and crawling forwards.
–
Two days later, it was time to begin the journey to the demon continent of Samael.

Ight let me be on my lil sappy shit for a second.
First off I just wanted to say a special thank you to any and everyone who takes the time to read even a few chapters of my book. I know it probably started out real rough but you guys stuck by it despite allat so I’m truly grateful.
I’d also like to say that there’s a lot of times where I be wanting to quit writing fr. I got into this because I love reading and I wondered what it’d be like if I created something of my own yk? But sometimes I feel like my story ain’t good enough or my characters ain’t complex enough or my book has any number of problems and issues and it’ll never be as good as the books and authors that I look up to.
But all of you that comment, leave reviews and send me powerstones really give me the motivation I need to keep writing not for myself but because you all seem genuinely interested in the world I created and to me there is no greater reward.
Again, big thank you to everyone, everything you do is greatly appreciated and I can only hope to pay you back through my writing.
