Chapter 757: Let’s Go Home
Abaddon usually didn’t like creator gods.
The reason why? It was likely their personalities.
Not all of them were incredibly kind and benevolent like their depictions.
They could be haughty. Unruly. Condescending. There really was no end to the list of ways they could ruin his day just by opening their mouths.
They could act holier than thou all they wanted. Just not with him.
So what if they made everything?
As the Cosmos he is the one who holds it all up. As Oblivion he is the one who will consume it.
If there was one person they shouldn’t have been trying to play the supremacy card with, it was him.
“Izanagi… After all of this time, you’re still so unattached to your tongue. There are easier ways to see it removed, you know?”
The creator god’s icy expression nearly cracked for just a moment. Nothing but contempt and ire could be seen underneath his metaphorical ‘mask’.
“Begone from this place, Tathamet. I’ve no idea what your interest in that evil woman is, but I will not turn her over to you.”
Amaterasu braced herself for things to get ugly, but to her surprise Abaddon smiled and relaxed his posture.
“Do you really think I need to ask for permission?”
“What..?”
Abaddon smirked. “Taking her is within my jurisdiction I’ll have you know. If she is as big a threat as you say she is, then Izanami should be held in Tehom.”
Izanagi scoffed.
“Don’t joke with me. You have no right to take a threat that’s already been neutralized and move it’s prison.”
“I do though? And I would hardly say that it’s been neutralized… Japan’s death rate is higher than it should be ordinarily.
Her influence still touches the land. Not really surprising, since she did help make it after all. As much as you like to pretend she did not.”
Izanagi clenched his jaw so hard that he nearly cracked all of his teeth.
Abaddon smiled slyly as he stepped around him. He also gave Amaterasu a small wink that said: ‘See? I was capable of being diplomatic all along.’
Amaterasu stared back with a blank look that said : ‘It’s a complete and utter miracle.’
“…” He didn’t know why she seemed to have such little faith in him.
Abaddon and Ayaana started to step into the mirror together, leaving the ancient father-daughter pairing behind.
“I would hope that you aren’t doing this to find another object to vent your lust on.”
Izanagi’s dig made Ayaana pause mid-step.
Abaddon could feel the extra pressure building up within their souls.
He thought for sure that the girls were going to react.
But much to his surprise, they only gave him an unkind thought and walked away.
Since the girls didn’t comment, he also chose to let it go.
… For now.
–
Inside of the mirror, one immediately notices the accumulated negativity that clings to the air like a horrid smog.
It is almost suffocating to breathe in or out due to the burden is placed on the lungs and esophagus.
After ensuring that the baby inside of her stomach wasn’t feeling any issues, Ayaana took her husband’s hand and together the three of them made their way down a long, ominous staircase.
As they passed by the walls, candles flickered to life and illuminated the dragons’ pathway. Though they didn’t really need it.
As they traveled to the deepest layer of this prison, they found a small chamber no bigger than 700 square feet.
In the middle of the room, there was a woman in tattered white robes.
Her hair was so long that it easily spilled onto the floor around her. It was oily black and clearly unkempt.
The sound of her neck cracking could be heard as she looked up at her new visitors.
Only one eye could be seen through the curtain of her hair, and it was unfathomably dark.
For a moment, she almost seemed surprised to see someone here other than her ex husband here after so long.
But maybe that was just a trick of the light.
Because this woman was completely and totally insane.
She screamed horrifically and lunged forward at the couple like a woman possessed.
However, she struck an invisible barrier like a bug on a windshield.
Though that did not stop her from continually bashing her cracked, yellow nails over the intangible surface.
“…Charming.” Bash said sarcastically.
Ayaana flicked him in the forehead.
Stepping forward, Abaddon sighed as he shrugged off his robe.
He placed his hand over the barrier and applied a bit of force.
His relatively small gesture caused the entire barrier to crack- freeing the insane goddess within.
Izanami attacked Abaddon because he was the closest.
Her nails raked against his skin harmlessly- producing showers of sparks as if metal were striking against metal.
If his hair were still long, she would have given him the cut of his life.
As gently as he could, he grabbed Izanami by the wrist to stop her from trying to attack him further.
But at the very moment he touched her, the both of them winced and went down with headaches.
In his mind, he saw a much more well kept than than she did right now.
He saw her sitting amongst his smallest children and telling them a long story that ended with all of them falling asleep.
He could see her at family events were he was persistently trying to beak her out of her shell. She would mush him in the face and push him aside.
Though she would secretly do so with a smile on her face that was gone in the time it took him to blink.
He saw it all. As did she.
A certain light returned to her eyes, though it was still marred by great confusion.
Though there was one thing that she knew for sure.
“I want… to go home..” she asked in a small voice.
“…I figured that you would. Here.”
Abaddon draped his cloak over Izanami’s shoulders like a blanket.
Once she was a bit more covered, he turned around and gestured for her to crawl aboard.

Though she did hesitate at first, she eventually crawled onto his broad back and wrapped her arms around his neck.
Once she was secure, he stood up while holding her in place and together the group headed home to a family that- one by one, was being pieced back together.
