Chapter 712: Armageddon Beast
Thea and Bashenga were having a rather intense stare-down high above the clouds.
For the first time in days, Bashenga was no longer stuck within his baby form and instead looked like a very competent and eye-catching young adult.
But Thea actually looked rather irritated with her younger brother.
“I still don’t feel like this is a very good way to sort out your feelings.”
“Your thoughts are noted.” Bash dismissed.
“Take me seriously, Bash! I’m your sister, I love you, I’m only trying to help!”
“T-Then stop muddling my mind with all of this cheap sentiment!”
Bashenga created two literal suns in both of his hands.
He hurled them at Thea with the same ease as if they were tennis balls; signifying his interest in talking had already expired.
Thea let out an exasperated sigh.
‘I wonder… If I just let him fry me, then would he feel guilty enough to finally start listening to me..?’ Thea wondered.
She seriously doubted it, so she had no choice but to take action.
The bracelet that ordinarily sat quietly on her wrist shone brightly with a life of it’s own.
It’s metal rattled in the air before it melted into a dark liquid and ran across Thea’s body in the span of just a second.
Her usual much more racy and parentally concerning armor had underwent some dire alterations.
Instead of resembling the world’s most dangerous set of lingerie, the armor now had the appearance of a deadly, yet sexy black bodysuit.
Jagged spikes like glowing pieces of amethyst adorned her shoulders, knees, and the tops of her claws.
The horns that she normally always kept hidden were now exposed and frightfully domineering.
Thea made a flicking motion with her wrists and two dangerous-looking blades were produced by the armor itself.
Bash didn’t have any memories of what his sister’s armor was like before, but if he had he would have questioned why its changes seemed much more chaotic than cosmetic…
Thea ran across the tops of clouds with her bladed arms sheathed at her sides.
Flipping off the intangible surface, she performed two quick slashes in the air.
Prismatic blades of a dark purple energy left her bladed arms and cut Bash’s created suns right down the middle.
With their integrity compromised, the suns had a very volatile reaction that resulted in a unparalleled explosion.
Before any of the blast reached her, Thea ‘cut’ the space in front of her and flew into the gap.
The explosion passed over the place where she once stood; leaving Bash behind to witness a world filled with fire.
He heard a ripping sound just beside his ear and bent his body at a 90 degree angle to avoid having his brand new head lopped off.
The wondrous thing about having a body that is created from a primordial’s own specifications is that limits on what they should or should be able to do don’t really exist.
Therefore, it was easy for Bash to fully lift his leg at an impossible angle without turning around and kick his eldest sister.
Thea narrowly managed to lift her arms in time to protect her face, but her armor that was supposedly indestructible cracked by just a hair.
“D-Damn it, Bash! If I didn’t know any better I would think you really saw me as some kind of enemy!”
“You were the one who just attempted to cut my head off.”
“AFTER you tossed two goddamn suns at me!!”
“I would not have thought you to be the type to fret over every little thing. It is greatly surprising!”
“Did you just call me a fucking wimp?!”
Thea knocked aside Bash’s leg and launched several furious strings of attacks of her own.
The youngest of the Tathamet children narrowly avoided being cut along his chest, legs, face, and arms before he finally caught his sister by the wrists.
“You’re being difficult, Bash! Just tell dad that you are sorry!”
“Do not think because I spent a few moments with you out of pity that I am the type of being you can lecture! I am far above your knowledge and experience, Thea!”
“Then hit the ground then!”
Thea kneed her brother in the jaw with her shining new barbed armor.
The underside of the young god’s jaw and neck were pierced by his eldest sister.
He was so shocked by what happened that he accidentally loosened his grip on Thea’s wrist; and she immediately made him pay for it.
Drawing back her fist, she punched her brother so hard that he went shooting out of the sky like a meteor.
Bash landed at the foot of a mountain in an entirely uninhabited region of Tehom. But Thea’s blow was so powerful that he not only leveled the nearby area, but the mountain itself became unstable and started to rain down rubble on the youngest prince.
Was Thea concerned with what she had done? Not really.
Bash was still stronger than her; so instead of worrying about his wellbeing or fretting over how he reacted to every single thing, she was more concerned with bracing herself for the inevitable mother of all tantrums that was to follow.
True to her suspicions, the ruined mountain rumbled with dire intensity. An ominous red light shone from within the cracks of the rubble.
A loud roar filled the air as the chunks of ruined mountain flew in every direction.
‘Bashenga’ stood up on his feet- or maybe it was just a creature who shared his intense aura and nightmarish intensity.
It was a beast in the shape of a dog, but there was no fur to be seen across his great body.
There were only armor-like dark red scales and jagged horns the color of bone.
Even standing on all fours, he was already over 250 meters tall.
But Thea wasn’t the slightest bit fooled by his height.
Whether it was Nyx, her dad, or now her mother, she was fully aware that when it came to primordial deities; they could make themselves as big or as small as they wanted.
Things had just become infinitely more dangerous.
The very presence of Bashenga caused a literal hell upon the land he stood on.
An intangible pulse left Bashenga without him doing anything.
When it passed over, the land for around a mile erupted in a brush fire.
Another pulse left his body, and then he summoned acid rain.
And then locusts…
An earthquake…
A wave of anti matter…
Decay…
The list of hellish scenes went on and on in 30-second intervals; one right after the other.
But nothing, absolutely nothing, surprised Thea like what her brother did next.
Bashenga threw his head back and roared so loudly that it shook Tehom for hundreds of miles.
An inky black liquid pooled from the flesh underneath his scales.
It dripped onto the ruined soil that sat underneath him until it looked like Bash was standing in a pool of tar.
Against all of her expectations, Thea witnessed her brother create elder horrors entirely of his own power.
They rose up from the mass of tar and surrounded Bashenga in the same way that Abaddon’s did.
Perhaps that was when a great spark was set off in Thea’s mind.
Perhaps it was seeing one of her younger siblings use a power that she couldn’t even fathom that did it, but something was set off in her mind.
Just as Bashenga had roared adamantly at her, she roared back at him.
More and more dark scales grew to cover her face as her pretty features became slightly more dragon-like.
A strange gem formed between her exposed cleavage and the whites of her eyes turned completely black.
Now, it was Bashenga’s turn to be surprised as Thea’s new gem shone brightly in the darkened sky.
Thea created her own elder horror out of thin air in the same way that her father and brother did.
Although the number of creatures that she summoned were less than a hundred and a bit smaller in number; they were armor plated just like her and no less impressive.
Thea and Bashenga roared at each other with no end in sight as they built towards their inevitable clash.
Just how quickly she would have been defeated, Thea would never know.
Because at the same time, both of them were privy to the sound of a can opening.
“What are you kids doing?”
Thea and Bashenga suddenly paused as they glanced at the source of the very familiar voice.
“”…Nothing. Playing.””
Valerie pushed up her glasses and surveyed the damage done to the realm that most deities would have needed years to pull off.
She casually sipped from the newly opened beer can in her hand as she searched for the right words to say.
“Uh-huh. Sure.”
She glanced at Thea more closely and noticed her daughter’s current appearance.
“New armor?”
Thea looked down at her figure. “U-Umm, it seems like it.”
“You look very adorable, baby doll.”
“Thank you!”
