First Demonic Dragon

Chapter 631: Is That Really Bekka?

The destination Bekka was heading towards was a huge military facility just on the outskirts of the forest.

It was cloaked with enough densely concentrated magic that even the most powerful cultivator with a myriad of divine eye techniques would only see a simple forest in front of him.

Bekka passed harmlessly through the barrier and floated over an incredibly high-tech facility composed of black metal and concrete.

Like a ghost, she drifted through the walls with nothing impeding her as she headed for a very specific part of the building.

She hid her presence until she came to a large indoor training ground where the sound of bodies hitting the floor was ever present.

At the front of the room, Kanami and Karliah were both sweating in their own dry-fit gear.

They’d likely just gotten done sparring on their own, and now were observing and correcting their recruits.

Once Bekka made herself visible, the pair rubbed their eyes and squinted in unison.

“What the hell… You’re up?”

“Is this really my baby…? She’s got my chest, that’s for sure…”

Bekka looked down at her own sports bra and then at her mother’s.

‘She still kept so much of it for herself… selfish old hoe.’

“It has to be her… look, she’s got my brother’s teeth marks on her neck and chest.” Kanami noticed.

“But there are no crumbs on her face? She came here without eating??”

“…You’re right, maybe it isn’t her.”

“Indeed, this must be an imposter.”

“Certainly.”

“Both of you shut the fuck up.” Bekka finally groaned.

She easily caught the two women in headlocks that threatened to snap their necks.

“Why’re you picking on me, huh? Can’t you just be happy to see your daughter and your sister-in-law??”

Karliah easily slipped out of Bekka’s iron grip.

Instead, she gave her a motherly kiss on the forehead that Bekka was slowly growing more accustomed to.

“Of course we’re happy to see you, my little monster. We’re only a bit surprised is all, so you need not be so sensitive.”

Karliah suddenly sniffed Bekka’s hair like a coke addict and her eyes became slightly hazy.

“Ahhh… Someone had a wild night, hm? Tell us all of the details. Was he exquisite??”

“Don’t tell us shit.” Kanami said flatly.

Bekka elected to go with the second request instead of the first. (Unsurprisingly)

She and Kanami pressed their foreheads together affectionately once she finally released her.

Finally, Bekka temporarily tore her attention away from them to glance at the room full of soldiers.

Their rigorous training session had been put on pause as soon as Bekka had shown up, and now they were all kneeling with their faces towards the ground.

All except for Mira, who was trying her best to follow procedure, but was continually stealing glances at her mother with a twinkle in her eye.

Bekka wanted to run over and take as many pictures of her cute daughter as possible, but they had already agreed to maintain a certain degree of professionalism in front of others.

They had the same understanding with Monica who, coincidentally, was kneeling right beside Mira at this moment.

Both of their tails were swaying from side to side excitedly despite their best efforts to keep themselves in check.

“As you were.”

Only when Bekka acknowledged them did the members finally return to normal.

Kanami noticed that Bekka seemed to be paying a fair bit more attention to them than normal.

It wasn’t uncommon for Bekka, Seras, and even Abaddon to pop in quite frequently on their own to observe the Euphrates, but this time it seemed like Bekka was doing more than taking peeks at their progress.

Evidently, Karliah seemed to notice that too.

“It’s still early in the morning, so the newbies are still just a bit sluggish. We’re getting them acclimated to following the accords Kanami put in place on behalf of your husband.” She explained.

Bekka only seemed to have heard half of what her mother said because she barely reacted.

“Any lingering issues…?” She asked.

“Hm… ‘issues’ is a strong term I wouldn’t necessarily use. Like I said, they are still in an adjustment period. Not just to our little outfit here, but to their own bodies as well.”

The Nevi’im rebirthed by Abaddon’s hand were given an incredible amount of power and potential in a very short amount of time.

This is doubly true for the Euphrates.

Suddenly gaining phenomenal cosmic power in a day’s time is dangerous and somewhat irresponsible. MVLeMpYr-official-text

So, each Nevi’im from the citizens to the soldiers have their own mental ‘limiters’.

These things are like blockades designed to keep them from using their abilities on accident.

Military training from the gold legion to the Euphrates is specifically designed to help them push past these limiters and learn proper control.

But it will take a very, very long time for even one tenth of cadets to become fully proficient in the more dark and complex magics lurking in their body.

Such is the gravity of the power they’ve been given.

At the last quarterly report she bothered to read, Bekka learned that the average golden legion soldier had broken through around 4-5% of their mental barriers.

The percentage gradually increased among each of the military bodies, with Asmodeus’ black legion at a cool 15-18%, and Kanami’s Euphrates at 27-30%.

With 7% of their power, Nevi’im were capable of creating a mass of flame large enough to replace earth’s sun- even possessing it’s own gravitational pull. (After a brief charge)

With the Euphrates at 27%, they can make tiny black holes and produce small amounts of dark matter, anti matter, or both.

This was also what made Monica’s admittance this year so special, as she was one of the few who was still trickling behind a bit in terms of raw power.

Th talents they inherit are not solely comprised of spacial abilities, but as Abaddon is the cosmos itself, soldiers frequently rush to attain those powers in particular so that they can feel closer to the god they worship so fervently.

“I wouldn’t worry about their proficiency too much as of now, my little monster.” Karliah waived. “They’ll be ready in time for the deadline a month and a half from now. I guarantee it.”

Bekka spent a few more moments observing the soldiers who were hard at work without saying anything.

Eventually, she turned around and waived them goodbye as she began walking away.

“After you’re done with them, send the lowest performing thirty to me in the training grounds. They’ll be with me the next two days.”

Kanami’s heart started beating louder than the bass of a car stereo.

Her brother and his wives were well known creatures of habit.

At least two days before every mission, they always came to collect the recruits they specifically wanted to take with them.

This was just to ensure that everyone was up to a certain standard and understood what it was like to work underneath whoever was in charge. Searᴄh the Novelƒire(.)ne*t website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“You’re moving the date up..?” Kanami asked as she swallowed her excitement.

“Not quite, little sister.”

“T-Then this is a new operation entirely?!?”

Kanami’s tail swung back and forth so hard and so fast that the winds she created pushed most of the members back.

Only the veterans who were used to this level of excitement from her remained unmoving.

Bekka looked back and smiled innocently at her excitable family member. “It is.”

“You’re taking point? I thought it was Erica’s turn??”

“It was, but she came before I did, so she is disqualified.” Bekka held up two of her fingers in a little ‘V’ symbol.

“Gross.”

“My daughter, if you’re going to go on a mission why do you want the thirty at the bottom?” Karliah asked honestly.

“This may not end up being a scorched earth mission, Ma. Best case scenario, they will not have to do much. Worst case… they will gain an invaluable opportunity to grow.”

Neither Karliah, nor Kanami had any complaints to voice in the wake of Bekka’s decision.

There was only one question on the mind of Abaddon’s youngest sister in that moment.

“Can I come?”

An hour later after everyone had finished their rather high-intensity warmup, the thirty lowest performing members were all gathered up by Kanami and sent to a different sector of the facility entirely.

Past the mess hall, there were a pair of automatic doors that led to an outside training ground.

Well, that was what they it was supposed to be.

But the area was so large and empty that unless you were looking at it from a faraway aerial view, it just resembled a near-boundless open field.

It quite literally went on for miles.

However, the recruits were able to sense the presence they were looking for.

Each of them transformed and flew to the center of the great field, where a single woman was seated haphazardly on a throne made from shadow.

She removed the sleep mask from over one of her eyes and smiled somewhat lazily.

“Oh? You all made it already.”

Each of the dragons landed on the ground and lowered their heads in submission.

“Yes, sorry for the delay, Empress.” They said in unison.

True to her claim, Kanami had indeed gotten the newbie Euphrates on one accord. They were already thinking as one and reacting with no delay between them.

*Yawn* “It’s fine. You all gave me some time to close my eyes and rest, so in that regard I should really be thanking you.”

Dawn had only barely shown signs of peeking over the surroundings to illuminate the grounds.

Bekka finally stood up and dismissed her chair.

She stretched her sensual body earnestly to shake off her last little bit of grogginess before she began tying her hair up.

“Alright, my little guppies. We’ve got a lot of ground to cover and not a lot of time, so I’m afraid I can’t hold your hands too much.”

“We will take any instruction you can provide, Empress. It is our duty to rise to your expectations.”

Bekka’s half smile became wider by just a single inch.

“Alright, let’s get this mini-camp underway then.”

Before any of the dragons had a moment to adjust themselves, an invisible force pushed all of their snouts down into the sand, and almost 40% of their power left them immediately.

Bekka cracked her knuckles as she walked towards the felled dragons; her pressure growing more insurmountable with every step.

“I’m afraid I can’t show you any mercy, my guppies. How are you going to grow if I do?”
