First Demonic Dragon

Chapter 1236: Dirty Princess

Chapter 1236: Dirty Princess

’WAAAAHHHHH!!!! IM GONNA DIE, IM GONNA DIE, IM GONNA DIEEE!!’

Thrudd zips through the air in her natural body, laughing maniacally as she commits an act of great evil.

Thea was practically suffocating as Odessa held on to her for dear life. “Stop it, Thrudd, you’re scaring the baby!”

“Aww, come on. What kinda dragon is afraid of a little loop-de-loop?!”

’I’m not a dragon!’ Odie reminded with tears in her eyes.

“You’re one in spirit, that’s good enough!”

Odessa continued to scream telepathically, something that Thrudd found hilarious, and Thea paid the price for.

Eventually, Thrudd’s flying evened out, and Odessa no longer seemed like she was going to wet herself.

Though she did have to crawl to the edge of Thrudd’s hand and empty the contents of her stomach.

Thea turns to her scaly sister with an annoyed look.

“Hehehe… sorry?” Thrudd smiles sheepishly.

Deciding to scold her later, Thea focuses on helping her sister for the time being.

She gently rubs Odessa’s back as she speaks to her in a soft voice.

“It’s alright now, you’re fine… drink this.”

Odie wipes her mouth before turning back to her sister and accepting her offered glass of water.

She paused and stared at it in confusion before drinking. ’Thanks, but… where’d you get this?’

Thea wiggles her fingers in the air. Bright golden sparkles dance around her digits like fireworks.

’…Oh. Magical goddess. Right.’ Odie took her first sip.

Thea chuckles as she runs her fingers through her sister’s hair. “I have difficulty making the big stuff like mom, Dad, and Straga can. But simple manifestation is as easy as counting to three.”

Odie believed that it was only the members of her family who would ever even consider saying such a thing.

’Magic seems… pretty convenient.’ She laughs halfheartedly. ’I don’t know how you guys can remember all that complicated stuff though…’

Thrudd brings her sisters closer to her face so that she can join the conversation.

“You don’t have to think of it as something so completely foreign to yourself. Our mother is magic. And we are loved by her. If you tried your hand at it, I know you could be just as talented as you want to be.”

Odessa goes quiet as she thinks of their mother.

For the first time, Odie wondered if perhaps she had hurt her mother’s feelings by deciding to abstain from magic.

Did she feel as though she had rejected her and just never said anything about it? Had she unknowingly been an insensitive daughter..?

She didn’t know the answer for certain. And yet, when she thought back on how her father had looked at her when they last spoke, she wondered if he had felt similarly.

’Do you guys think… our parents know I love them?’

Thrudd almost stopped in midair.

“Why would you ask that?? Did dad do something to bother you?! You just say the word and I’ll knock his fat head off his body!”

Back at home, Abaddon shudders, but he can’t explain why.

’N-No, he didn’t do anything, it’s just…’ Odie paused. ’I guess this is the first time that I’ve ever really thought that they might feel I’ve rejected them in some way… Looking back, I did push kinda hard into the wanting to be normal stuff… but now I don’t know if that was the right thing to do.’

Thea and Thrudd glance at each other.

Neither of them really seems to know what to say in the moment. They were not around during Odessa’s formative years to really get a grasp of the dynamic between their parents and their sister.

“…Our parents can be a little clumsy sometimes, but there’s one thing I know for sure.” Thea held her sister’s face. “They love all of us equally, and there’s nothing we could say or do to change that. But if you’re worried something got lost in translation, then maybe you should try to talk to them yourself. That’s the only way to know what they’re thinking.”

Odessa swallowed as she looked out into the transformed world below her.

She hoped that whenever she managed to work up the courage to chat with them, it would not be nearly as nerve-wracking as her current anxiety level would have her believe.

Thrudd flew for a long time at Thea’s direction. They traveled at least forty-five minutes away from the house.

Thea finally points towards a lake surrounded by a woodland forest.

The world below shakes as Thrudd lands on the ground. Odessa stares up at her powerful and majestic sister in true wonder.

“Wow… Quite the setup you’ve got here, sister.” Thrudd whistles as she stares at the lake.

“Oh, I can’t take the credit for all this… Cora has quite the eye for architecture.”

Odie spins around like a dog chasing it’s own tail.

’A-Am I missing something?? I don’t see anything but glowing blue trees, and- Oh my god that squirrel has fangs!’

Thea places her hands on her sister’s shoulders and points her towards the lake.

“Give me one second. Gotta get in goddess mode real quick.”

’Eh’

When Odie looked back at her sister again, her jaw nearly hit the ground.

Thea was transcendent. A figure over eight feet tall with deep purple skin, as smooth as shea butter.

Her sister’s head was a glowing mass of soft white light. It was not blinding, but like the sun it was uniquely captivating.

“Okay, ready to go!” Thea held up her thumbs.

’What’s with… all of this?’ Odie gestured to her sister’s body.

“Oh, well, my people are.. a tiny bit fanatical.”

“She has to cover her face because she’s too hot.” Thrudd rolled her eyes. “If she walks around like normal she’ll turn all of her people into Thea-Sexuals.”

’Oh, that’s… nice?’ Odie blinked.

“C-Can we just go in please, this is embarrassing!”

“Last time it happened was hilarious! She had to erase the memory of her face from the minds of all her people, and-”

“THRUDD!”

“Okay, okay, I’m sorry!”

Thea held out her hand and the lake split open.

Beneath the waves was a black staircase leading deeper into the dark depths of the lakebed.

Thea began floating downward without waiting for her sisters.

“Alright, up you go, little miss.”

Thrudd hefted her sister up on her back before she began to make her descent after Thea.

“Should I have rubbed some dirt on your face or something? Made you look a bit more like we found you in the wild??”

’N-No! You can still say you found me lying in a field or something. I’ll be like a mystical princess!’

“…”

’… I heard it as soon as I said it.’

“I’m gonna rub a little dirt on you.”

’Okay…’

After Odie was sufficiently dirty, Thrudd follows their sister to the bottom of the staircase.

Thea was already waiting for them, standing in front of a pair of towering white doors gilded with gold.

She takes one look at Odie and fights the urge to snicker. “…You roll around in the dirt or something?”

“She wants everyone to think she’s a cute little homeless person.”

“She has the cute part down at least.”

Odie blushes deeply as she hides her face from sight.

’…Can we just go inside please?’

The older sisters take their time petting Odessa like she is a cute dog.

Finally, Thea held her hands up to the giant doors.

The ancient stone trembled as the doors swung open, and Thrudd let out an impressed whistle. “Your people are meticulous, aren’t they..?”

“They are indeed.” Thea beams with a pride that mirrors her father.

The sisters had walked into a human-sized ant colony.

Bright blue waterfalls rushed into pools of water lining a walkway.

A small town was erected in front of their eyes.

The girls saw playgrounds, basketball courts, picnic areas, and even a community garden.

Twinkling white lights shone against grey stone walls. Staircases led to hundreds of doors that seemed to be private quarters.

As soon as they entered, the entire place came to a complete standstill.

Save for, of course, the giant armored humans who were adept in theatrics.

“MY LADYYYYYY!!!!!!!”

Cora and her fellow soldiers perform a series of dramatic flips that lead into a kowtow.

When Cora lifted her head again, her forehead was bruised and her eyes were filled with water.

A line of snot begins to dribble down her nose.

“My lady, it’s *hick* so nice to see you..!”
