First Demonic Dragon

Chapter 1151: A Grievance

Chapter 1151: A Grievance

Yesh stirred within the crystal blue pool, but his eyes did nothing more than twitch.

Even if he wanted to wake up, he couldn’t.

His body was completely devoid of the necessary energy. His spirit was drained.

He could feel a dark presence hovering over him, completely unsubtle and provoking.

Oh, you’re in worse shape than I thought. That actually makes me a little angry.

Yesh couldn’t see the water around him being disturbed.

Out of thin air, a circulatory system formed above him.

It created it’s own blood, bones, brain, and even eyes.

When skin formed over it’s fleshy face, it was fully revealed to be a disturbing-looking woman.

It was a woman with pale skin and a head that appeared sloppily shaven.

Her pale skin was rife with bruises and blemishes, even though her body was freshly new.

Her face was difficult to look at. The bruises on her face went over her eyes and her mouth in a twisted iteration of what seemed like clown makeup.

The woman’s eyes were haunting. One was perfectly normal, a crystal-like baby blue that you could find in the eyes of any newborn child.

The other was something black and haunting. An eye with multiple irises that each glimmered with the faintest of white lights.

Her lips peeled back and revealed a mouth full of teeth that looked like they belonged inside an alligator.

She squatted over Yesh with no care for the disgraceful angle accentuated by her nude form.

“I had never done this before, so I wanted you to tell me how it looked. Am I as pretty as the doll you made…? Do you want to hold me as you do her..?”

Yesh could not answer. Though his eyelids continued to twitch.

Caligo got into the pool with Yesh and sat beside him while holding her knees to her chest.

She released a small whimper as a tear fell from her demented eye.

“I’m sad, Yesh-darling… The walls are all closing in, and I can’t have my fun anymore like I used to… my vessel’s been taken, my pawn has been taken off the board, and I’m stuck with this…” Caligo softly knocked on her head in an obsessive manner. “Broken fucking thing…”

Caligo leaned over to Yesh and placed her hand over her chest.

“Why have I not earned a crumb of sympathy??

Does no one care about what was one to me? The toll this takes on my being? I do! It is all I can think about as the passage of Eternity grates across my skin like a knife..!

I wanted to be whole, Yesh-darling, but those three have conspired to deprive me of that, I know they have..!” Caligo gnawed on her sharp nails as her expression became even uglier.

“In Totality, we are the only ones who are like us. Doesn’t that make us family?? Why do they not love me…? Why do they not want to see me happy?”

The water in the pool suddenly bubbled as it rose to a boiling point.

Caligo’s personality instantly flipped as she dug her nails into her skin and ripped away the first layer of her face.

“THEY’RE UNTHINKING, UNFEELING SINGLE-CELLED WRETCHES! WORMS! AMOEBA! THEY’RE A PLAGUE, A DISORDER! I WANT TO KILL THEM! THAT I CANNOT IS MY CURSE! THEY GET TO BE PERFECT! AND WHAT ABOUT ME!? THEY MOCK ME! PITY ME!

OH, LOOK AT POOR, FRAGMENTED LITTLE CHAOS! SHE CAN’T HELP HERSELF! SHE CAN’T EVEN REMEMBER THE NAMES OF HER CHILDREN, OR THE PRECIOUS LITTLE SWEETINGS SHE CREATES! I FEEL THEIR MOCKERY AND RESENTMENT STINGING MY ESSENCE UNTIL I SCREAM FOR RELEASE INTO THE-”

Caligo suddenly paused.

A line of yellow ran down her leg and tinted the water with it’s color.

Caligo pasted her skin back onto her face as she touched her mound lightly.

“Oh, right… I forgot that these did that.”

“YOU MOTHER FUCKER!”

Caligo felt the terrain suddenly shake.

She glanced over her shoulder at the sight of a rampaging child brimming with a powerful aura.

“Who the hell are you!? How did you get here!? Actually, I don’t care, you can save your answers for Hades when I send you to him!!”

Great tree trunks and thorns rose up like bladed pillars and shot towards Caligo.

Time seemed to move in slow-motion as Caligo turned her tearful gaze towards Yesh once again.

“Do you see what I mean..? I did not even remember her..”

Nothing happened, but Yggdrasil suddenly let out a scream from the depths of her very soul.

In that moment, her entire intangible being seemed to be vaporized.

The sharpened wood that was rushing towards her suddenly stopped moving.

Slowly, it returned into place as Caligo took a flagrantly disrespectful action and straddled Yesh.

“I understand that they hold you in quite close regard. I can’t go near them right now, but I can certainly hurt them through hurting you.”

Caligo took Yesh’s head in her hands and gently shifted the direction of his head.

Behind her, far in the distance of the world in-between, a shooting star appeared to be coming towards them at a slow pace.

“I meant what I said… I’m mad you aren’t awake. When that brute gets here, it will begin a chain of events that your little deities are utterly unprepared to contend with. All your plans, everything that you love and took the time to create, will be razed to make way for her.

Perhaps then, when you awaken and see what has happened, your mind will be broken just like mine is. And then maybe, you will truly understand just how pretty Chaos is.”

Caligo’s cheeks became flushed with pink. Her smile turned maiden-like and disoriented as she held Yesh’s head in her hands.

“Won’t that be just wonderful~?”

“And then, guess what? I think I finally met a nice guy, we spent some time together, and just when I considered introducing him to my kids, I find pictures of him in his phone with this tomboy-looking bitch looking real cozy!!”

A drunken Nyx leaned into the lap of an annoyed Belphegor. Her tears were staining his khakis.

“Be honest with me, Belphy-darling… Do you think I’d look better with a nosering?”

Belphegor was in no way, shape, or form equipped for something of this magnitude.

“Did you sneak liquor into your waterbottle?”

“Just answer my questions when I ask you!” Nyx whined.

Belphegor slowly turned his head and glanced at his brothers for backup.

Asmodeus pretended he couldn’t see anything and kept his eyes on his son’s coaching. Satan merely shook his head.

“Drunk goddesses… What a disgrace.” Satan shook his head.

“The hell are you talking about? Literally, all they do is drink and have sex.” Belphegor raised his brow.

“Yeah, I know. But it’s still disgraceful.”

“CAN YOU TWO HELP ME, I’M OVER HERE NURSING A BROKEN HEART!!” Nyx snapped.

“”What else is new??”” The brothers asked in unison.

Nyx proved that just because she was drunk, it did not mean that her strength had left her.

She proceeded to grab the brothers by their heads and slammed them together until she drew blood and had to be pulled away by Hera.

“Easy there, girlie. Let’s not kill our family members as soon as they get back from fighting for their lives, yeah?”

Teary-eyed, Nyx looked up at Hera with her lip poked out adorably.

“Hera, I need you to be honest with me and-”

“Noserings are a young woman’s game, sweetheart. If you like, I can recommend some changes in hairstyle and a dress that’ll really emphasize your assets.”

“S-Should I make them bigger..?”

“I think they’re already plenty big, hon.”

Suddenly, the stands erupted into cheers.

*Unbelievable! The Birds have come back from a 21-point deficit to end the game with a lead of 28! This was a true thriller, folks, and the kind of game Friday nights in the winter are made of, folks!*

The party on the field was difficult to understate.

The players were cheering, jumping around, and hyping each other up with the rowdiest of tactics.

Jazmine suddenly saw a young man running up to her with the game ball in his hand.

He wrapped her in a tight hug before he put the game ball into her chest.

“It’s all you, coach! I couldn’t have did it without you!”

Jazmine tried her best not to get misty-eyed.

A rush of cold Gatorade was poured down her back, much to the delight of the entire coaching staff.

Abaddon in particular was incredibly moved.

He hoisted his daughter-in-law up on his shoulder and turned her to the crowd proudly.

“How bout them Birds!?”

The crowd went wild. Their cheering was so loud that Abaddon could literally feel the ground vibrating underneath him.

Abaddon was so proud of his daughter-in-law that he couldn’t easily put it into words.

He tried not to get too excited about victories during the season, especially when they weren’t in the playoffs.

But this win meant more than every other one he’d had so far.

A reporter with a cameraman rushed up to Abaddon, eager to stick a microphone in his face and question him about the big victory.

“Coach Carter, your team has fought and scratched to get one of their most gruelling wins in the past two years. What is the secret to such a massive turnaround, and does it have anything to do with this new QB coach who, from what my sources tell me, you brought in just this morning??”

Abaddon had never heard a better question in his life. He would delight in answering it.

But just before he could, he was suddenly hit with one of the worst headaches of his life.

To make matters worse, he witnessed not one, but five of the women in his family collapse within the stands…
