Chapter 997: Chapter 493: The True Forms of the Six Dragons

"Guh, guah..."

"Why aren’t you being arrogant now? Hm?"

Inanna was disciplining Annette on a platform almost entirely made of elements, grabbing her bound hands and swinging her back and forth.

Although the strength of a Giant Dragon Incarnation far surpasses that of ordinary people, it was evident that the Earth Dragon was truly angry, seemingly unmindful of the years of sibling ties at that moment.

Annette initially resisted a bit, but her transformation power was temporarily sealed by the other arriving dragons, and suddenly, everyone supported Inanna, making her grievances seem almost overwhelming.

"Uwah! I was just joking, okay? I didn’t really mean to harm your Deputy! Is it fair to use your true self to beat people?! Why can you use your true self?!"

"And you guys! It was thanks to this dragon’s speed that you found her! I was the first to pass on the message to you, but you come and bully the dragon first, huh?! Wahhhh!"

Annette was overwhelmed by frustration and grievance, kicking and thrashing wildly while suspended in the air, crying and causing a fuss.

Akuya, with her arms crossed, sneered: "Tch, truly lacking the dignity as one of the Six Dragons... Li Ang, what’s that look in your eyes?"

Li Ang withdrew his gaze, staring ahead. He really wanted to retort, "Do you have the nerve to say that?" But with the Six Dragons gathered, to avoid another commotion, silence seemed best for now. After all, the pink-haired one had no concept of her own conduct.

On the other side, the three more composed members of the Six Dragons stood together.

Li Ang had seen the tall red-haired man Agni before, and he recognized the Dark Dragon Thanatos and the Light Dragon Brigitte whom he had seen in the Illusion Realm.

Compared to the Ancient Era, the Light and Dark Dragons had undergone some changes, notably in the complexity and intricacy of their clothing and armor, likely reflecting their increased strength.

These were the Six Dragons that had changed little since ancient times. Initially, they should have supported and watched over each other, conversing as equals, but now, Li Ang felt as though the Fire, Light, and Dark Dragons took on a patriarchal or elder sibling role, while the other three seemed like troublesome children needing care.

The trio’s discussion was appraising Inanna’s condition.

"...Although her appearance has changed, this vengeful state isn’t more extreme than during the Desolate Stage, rather it’s closer to the way she used to get angry before the catastrophe." Thanatos assessed.

"She seems unable to switch between two states now," Agni noted.

"Demonization... truly unexpected..."

Brigitte lamented: "Although we understand how the eldest son became a demon, with differing powers obtained from Father God, this wasn’t supposed to concern us. Yet now, the Earth-wrapped curse managed to manifest in Inanna because of this connection."

"This change is indirect; her true form has shifted but isn’t severely deformed."

Thanatos gazed beneath the clouds; below this Aerial Realm, the eternally silent, unchanged Bloody Red Land now presented a majestic spectacle.

Layers of rock rose as if piercing the sky, forming ridges like sword blades, observable from high altitude, signifying their elevation in kilometers.

On those towering rock formations, an enormous dragon, seemingly the Earth itself, lay silently, its length undoubtedly exceeding a kilometer.

The Earth Dragon’s body seen in the Wilderness Area of the Eternal Summer and in the final battle in the Land of Ten Thousand Spirits was merely a projection; its true form was so grand that referring to it as a projection was perfectly apt.

Once a form reaches this size, spikes and armor lose biological sense because the eyes cannot immediately comprehend the entirety, only perceiving parts of its body as natural scenery. Matching this perception, the dust accumulating on its layered scales seemed like it was carrying another mountain range.

Realizing that what you see as a "mountain" is a giant dragon evokes inevitable awe; the dragon is no longer just a dragon but an unquestionable Divine Spirit. Its overlapping earth rocks and towering spikes possess divinity.

In ancient times, such a dragon traversed the Earth, altering landscapes by mere presence, without needing to use Divine Power, prompting shifts in the natural environment. Those who knew her, like Li Ang, understood she would comfort beings with the Power of Nature; thus, mortals followed her, considering her a True God.

This is what truly constitutes a Divine Spirit, what is called the "Earth Extreme that supports the world." Before witnessing the Six Dragons’ true forms, Li Ang believed his understanding was deep enough, but now realized he had yet to grasp this concept correctly.

Such a vast dragon could destroy cities and civilizations as effortlessly as breathing.

Looking at the true form, finally a corner of the Six Dragons’ real power becomes perceivable.

Li Ang also glanced at Inanna’s true form, pondering that since demonization freed her from restraints, if she could wield the power of her true self, many matters concerning Nebis would be trivial, no longer requiring cautious handling...

"So heavy, it could crush you."

While reflecting, Li Ang suddenly heard Diao quietly utter a sentence.

"What?" He was stunned, then processed her words.

The brown-skinned young girl blushed: "I-I mean, Sister Inanna, the Earth Six Dragons are truly formidable..."

"What do you think about all day?" Li Ang sighed, pondering the troublesome young girl.
