Chapter 976: Chapter 484: Call of Ten Thousand Spirits (Part 3)

Arunak slowly descended from the sky.

"Across thousands of years, never did I imagine it would end like this... Mortals? Hah."

Words echoed in Li Ang’s ears, and he glanced at his companions, who heard it too.

Li Ang landed beside the remnants of Arunak, the former God King now just shattered crimson bones.

Its residual spirit locked onto him, which Li Ang felt clearly.

"Spirit Casting Art, Demonization... How could a mortal achieve this? And dare to attempt it? By what right?!"

The wish and resentment spanning millennia hit Li Ang like a heavy hammer, causing not just emotional resonance but a substantial spiritual shock.

Witches all steal power from the Deus People; similar abilities are possible for a witch, and of course, God King Arunak can too.

Had it been the previous Li Ang, he might have needed to calm himself to resist this impact.

But having embraced the Demon Power, deciding to coexist with it, learning and stealing Spirit Casting Art, and facing the Star of Dawn among other incredible experiences, he now faced such an impact with ease.

This ease was so peculiar that even he found it strange.

"I am rather curious, how did you know about and decide on Demonization?" Li Ang retorted.

Arunak was silent for a moment, then responded with a low hum, seemingly mixed with a cold laugh and mockery.

"Near the end of my reign, I realized that although I had the legacy of ancestors, failing to harness their power was ultimately lacking, perhaps some calamity lurked within.

"I began studying all the powers they once grasped, Demonization being one of them."

Li Ang shook his head: "Luckily you didn’t master it, otherwise Nebis wouldn’t be as it is now."

"Since you appear here, it proves that the rule of our Divine Bloodline has ended."

"Ended a long time ago."

"My shortsighted successor will likely lead the dynasty to ruin, I have foreseen this. But as long as I still exist in this world, the glory’s return is only a matter of time, even ascending to the heights our ancestors reached!"

"But ultimately, you were killed by Ancient Witches."

"Thieves unworthy of concern, they cannot truly obliterate my Spirituality; instead, it is they who, before my great Spirituality, kneel and crawl or go mad in agony."

As Li Ang and Arunak spoke, Liluliss and Inanna returned to human form and walked forward with Diao.

Upon hearing Arunak, Diao bit her lip and said, "Generations of witches have chosen to prevent your return."

"Meaningless." Arunak sneered, unwilling to converse with the young girl further, which enraged Diao into gritting her teeth and squeezing her fists.

"Of course, it has meaning, with them, I stand here."

Li Ang raised his hand, the Scythe of the End shattered Arunak and flew from afar, spinning back to his hand.

The power of the Apocalypse Divine Artifact approached, causing Arunak’s remaining spirit to tremble and fracture, reaching the verge of dissipating.

"Just an elusive fate..."

Arunak’s broken voice still carried defiance; it refused to admit, attributing its failure merely to a mysterious destiny, saying no more, waiting for the final extinction.

Li Ang took a deep breath.

Actually, there was no need to say more to that fellow, but he felt some words needed to be expressed.

"Is it fate? Perhaps it’s inevitable, Nebis’s Ten Thousand Spirits have always anticipated this outcome. Even without me and my companions, others would eventually arrive here.

"And your rule, will never rise again, even if I were to disperse my Spirituality and offer this body to you, it’s impossible."

At this point, Li Ang sensed Arunak’s remaining spirituality stir again.

"This world is about to be destroyed soon."

His words startled those around him; Diao, though having seen the visions in dreams, hearing him speak this brought a surreal yet real feeling. Lily and Inanna were surprised by Li Ang’s awareness, showing they too understood the world’s direction.

Arunak’s spirituality stirred once more.

"Why is it being destroyed? Because of your ancestors, the Primordial Being’s capriciousness, because of your compatriots further extracting from the world, you see the world as your garden, and other beings as slaves.

"I’m reluctant to argue right or wrong with you distorted group; I’m stating facts. Even without others resisting, you would self-destruct, that is your true fate."

Li Ang unfurled the Transcendent Treasure Vault, stored the Apocalypse Device, adjusted his garment, arranging his body.

"Our destiny, at certain moments, intersects with the world, but we mortals, as long as we don’t indulge overly absurd parts, mostly advance fighting for its continuation.

"From this perspective, I find myself nobler than you."

Li Ang gave a slight smile to the dissipating spirit of the God King and turned to leave.

These words, rather than mocking it, seemed more like speaking to himself, summarizing his witch’s career.

Whether willing or unwilling, having become a Spiritual Forger under the watch and help of the Ten Thousand Spirits, meeting companions like Zoe, Inanna, and Lily, this Spiritual Forger has become inseparable from the role of "the one to restore balance."

How far can a Spiritual Forger go? Just watch as it unfolds.

With Li Ang’s steps, the scar-riddled Earth suddenly rolled into view, smoothing into a reborn plain. Jubilant spiritual bodies reappeared, running around him.

Endless whispers entered his ears; they were blessings, songs of gratitude, poetic guides, cryptic prophecies.

Li Ang was rendered somewhat deaf by the endless voices, as if unable to see clearly, as the Spirit and Ten Thousand Spirits conducted final communication with him, sensing the three companions beside him holding him up.

Step forward, tread, communicate with the whispers...

Unknown how long it passed—in Li Ang’s perception, the entire world seemed renewed. Compared to being a Spiritual Forger, he now appeared more akin to an Ancient Witch, seeing vegetation and rocks whose spirits directly conversed with him without needing sense.

This power... wasn’t newly acquired but a completion and leap of previous powers...

Which part of the power is it?

Li Ang’s mind instantaneously knew the answer.

Precisely during his study in Zultin Marsh, the part realized, because he hastened the matters of The Soul Apex, without further study, mastering only a portion, unaware it was incomplete then.

Afterward, this part of power became his Secret Technique "Tumult of Ten Thousand Spirits," accompanying him battling unbound domains.

We continuously watch over you, elevated one, the true chosen one.

The Ten Thousand Spirits’ whispers and transcendent realm suddenly receded like tides. Li Ang abruptly opened his eyes; before him was the Witch Priest’s face full of curse runes and variously dressed Ancient Witches by his side.

Diao, Inanna, Liluliss were not far beside him, behind lay the Stone Gate, still heavy as ever, covered in moss, seemingly never pushed open.

"You’ve returned."

The Witch Priest still showed a meaningful smile: "Now, do you understand?"
