Find a Troubled Girl after leaving the Guild
Chapter 929 - 454: Demonic True Self (Part 2)
Chapter 929: Chapter 454: Demonic True Self (Part 2)
"Then let me tell you the form of her power, so you can be prepared for her." Inanna propped herself up, her abundance hanging down, stirring emotions like a tide.
"Then sleep early." Li Ang said.
"Hmm?"
The Dragon Maiden pursed her lips, "I haven’t conceived a dragon offspring yet."
She turned over and embraced Li Ang’s hand.
"In this Land of Ten Thousand Spirits, it feels like I’ve relived a part of my life. Ten Thousand Spirits... we had never noticed before, such a noble existence in the world, I genuinely thank it for everything it has brought."
Inanna snugged against Li Ang’s arm, her fully emotional body trembling occasionally from the pressure but still unwilling to let go.
"I’m not a mere human, my body nurtures life and can remain incredibly strong, don’t mind the environment. Moreover, the Land of Ten Thousand Spirits has never brought my state to such heights in nearly ten thousand years; our offspring, at this time, must be stronger than all other dragon descendants."
Inanna’s double pupils rekindled with flames.
"Do you want to continue?" Li Ang asked her, "What just happened is only the beginning, you know."
"R-Really?!"
The Dragon Maiden shrank her entire body, shivered twice, and shifted her position in fear.
She had no clear understanding of the situation.
"Of course, the first step alone was like this; when reaching that step, the sensations will certainly be stronger."
Subconsciously, the Dragon Maiden cupped her face with both hands, peering out through the gaps between her fingers; terrified of the shock that dispersed her consciousness earlier, yet within her pupils, a peculiar flame danced.
"How, how strong is that?"
"It depends on the person, but for an ordinary human, it would definitely be several times stronger than before. Given your unique physique, it’s even harder to say."
Li Ang’s words made Inanna even more apprehensive, as the flames within her double pupils grew even fiercer.
"I-I don’t believe it could be that strong, even magic power couldn’t achieve such an effect."
"Your body, in itself, is a special manipulation of magic power, and I think it will only be more, not less."
Li Ang couldn’t help but chuckle at her timid appearance; the laugh seemed to trigger her defense mechanism, as Inanna slipped down the bed like a startled little animal and stumbled out of the room.
Watching her figure mature beyond ordinary people but in this matter purer than the problematic young girl of Eternal Summer, it was indeed an amusing affair.
Run, run, sooner or later everything will be done; anyway, there’s no rush...is there?
Li Ang paused, realizing his thoughts were once again aligned with those he had had when the Demon’s Hand was present.
Previously, when hesitating about choosing to use Arunak’s Divine Staff, he had already realized the Demon’s Hand was not an external object; it merely caused the inherent thoughts within his body during the curse’s reshaping process to become uncontrollable.
Just as philosophy and religion often divide the human mind into multiple dimensions, Li Ang experienced self-awakening, realizing he originally possessed a surface self to maintain calm and rational, and a deeper self that contained some demonic thoughts.
Grasping Arunak’s Divine Staff meant accepting that demonic layer of self, rather than suppressing it.
Thus, initially conflicted about his relationship with Inanna, everything proceeded smoothly when the moment arrived. If she weren’t too much like a blank slate in that regard, there might already be a little dragon by now. He wouldn’t have suddenly become aware of his state.
Is this a bad thing? Or is Ten Thousand Spirits wanting to see all of this unfold?
Even though it hasn’t been long since the last Illusion Realm, Li Ang always feels like Ten Thousand Spirits seems to want him to master Demonic Power.
Li Ang opened his panel.
Due to demonization, his body transformation panel was activated; when he severed his arm, this part of the sub-panel turned gray and became inoperable, but upon equipping the Hand of the Wounded Knight, the sub-panel brightened again, introducing a branch transformation, the mechanical engineer direction.
This transformation requires him to learn the profession, and the benefits currently aren’t quantifiable, so he hasn’t considered it, just using the Spiritual Force Field to drive the prosthetic hand for now.
After acquiring Arunak’s Divine Staff, the sub-panel didn’t revert to the Demon’s Arm panel but popped up a new sub-panel.
[Hint: Body Transformation—Abnormal Left Arm [Exogenous Limb] has been activated]
[Hint: Invest Professional Points to continue unlocking Demon Skills and convert them to Exogenous Arm]
This basically indicates Arunak’s Divine Staff can become his third hand, suspended externally, controlling the demonic power.
This made Li Ang’s feelings somewhat complex.
Becoming stronger is certainly good, but it made it feel like this trip was in vain.
Well, thinking about it, it doesn’t seem to be; without coming here, how could he acquire the Spiritual Forger profession and learn the Spirit Casting Art using the staff shaped by the Demon’s Hand?
Let’s first see what the actual information Ten Thousand Spirits want to reveal.
Li Ang wasn’t in a hurry to invest points to further strengthen Arunak’s Divine Staff.
The main uncomfortable point for him was this made him similar to the Six Armed Saint King who cursed him.
Clearly he was duped, yet he had to mimic the form of power; it seemed displeasing no matter how he thought of it.
Thinking of this, Li Ang recalled the two Primordial Beings behind Zosia. Unlike their all-powerful, invincible-like following of Zosia, each of their powers seemed to rely on an eye or a mouth, either equipped with double pupils or wearing a mask.
The one with double pupils, Li Ang always feels very familiar.
If all demons are transformations of Primordial Beings, then regarding eye demons...it could only be the one worshipped by the Eye of God, right?
Li Ang really hadn’t expected to see the actual being in the Illusion Realm of the Land of Ten Thousand Spirits. Though not completely sure, the possibility felt quite high.
Li Ang didn’t know the Spiritual Structure of the Primordial Beings, but currently can confirm their powers are innate; how much postnatal enhancement is achievable remains unknown, but naturally exploiting one’s Talent Ability is obvious.
Therefore, possessing powerful eyes should naturally rely on those eyes; there’s nothing wrong with that.
Just uncertain why Zosia’s followers would want to rely on the Eye of God to stir trouble in the current Nebis, plus they concurrently mastered the Annihilation Star Soul Jenoside made using the Reversed Equation.
Isn’t Zosia one of those opposed to using the Reversed Equation to tear the world?
Li Ang scratched his head, knowing too little information to speculate.
If reasoning like this, the one beside wearing a mask is mouth-related, could he be the Thousand-Voiced Demon killed by the Goddess of Kindness?
When encountering Horarius under the volcano, due to ALulu, this person related to the Wotam Sect in this aspect, indicating their demonic associates recognized other demons. Although Li Ang wouldn’t clarify his misunderstanding at the time.
As for the Crimson Demon Li Ang encountered, repeatedly mentioned "Six Armed Saint King" by the Eye of God, besides knowing it possesses separate Six Arms and excels in attacks like Spiritual Piercing, it’s only known to have grievances with the Yunxiang Race.
Wondering if in this Illusion Realm it’s possible to encounter the Six Armed Demon still in Primordial Being state.
Rubbing his eyes, Li Ang felt sleepy.
Although the Land of Ten Thousand Spirits is timeless, it’s been an exhausting while.
No sign of Inanna returning, he stretched lazily and pulled over the nearby cushion, planning to sleep for a bit.
A breeze tinged with earthy scent blew by, leaving the direction of grass, Inanna cloaked in a broad black robe, stood by the window, gazing at Li Ang.
"Oh, you’re back?"
Since the Dragon Maiden returned, Li Ang sat up waiting for her to express her attitude.
"It’s time to breed offspring."
Inanna licked her lips, deep within her pupils reflected the firelight, due to its subtlety appearing slightly deep red.
"If you’re not afraid, then come."
Li Ang patted the bed beside him with a smile to her.
Inanna confidently stepped over, her gaze like that of a predator observing the Dragon Human opposite her.
"Mmm, oh oh oh..."
After several rounds of engagement, the Dragon Maiden lay like a stray fish to the side, left with only the last bit of strength to twitch and rebound.
"What’s happening?"
Li Ang was somewhat puzzled, "How is it weaker than before? And maladroit as if completely inexperienced?"
"Li Ang!"
At the stone chamber’s entrance, the unclothed Inanna had just returned, her face full of tension.
The Dragon Maiden was there, but beside her was—
Li Ang immediately raised his defense, the Crimson Blade sliced through, humiliating Demon Inanna transformed into a Half Demon form amidst crimson dust.
"Damn absurd fellow!"
She was extremely enraged, yet after several attacks unable to break Li Ang and Inanna’s joint force, she promptly dissipated and fled.
Li Ang’s Slow Spell and Inanna’s Magic were ineffective against this peculiar demonic division; she vanished amidst the crimson glow.
