Fierce Horror Dorm: Take a Concubine to Get Stronger

Chapter 778: The New Neighbor’s Identity Revealed, the Three Legendary Dormitory Buildings

Demon Box World.

At the edge of Gluttony Purgatory, a pool of magma bubbled and steamed. The crimson lava looked like molten iron. A bare-chested man emerged from it. The lava slid over his masculine, powerfully sculpted body without harming him in the slightest.

An infant’s Ethereal Form clung to him.

As Xu Lang stepped out of the magma pool, the infant’s Ethereal Form vanished, and he felt a faint burning pain.

“After all these tests, it still won’t work.”

“Koro is highly adaptable, but every time the effect ends, it has to start adapting from scratch again.”

Ghostly Deity Power steamed off Xu Lang’s body, immediately cleaning away the magma.

In an extreme environment like a magma pool, Koro needed only a dozen seconds to adapt completely. The drawback was that once the adaptation ended, it had to adapt all over again.

Another thing was that Koro evolved very quickly. If he raised it properly, eventually it should be able to adapt to every extreme environment in nature in under two seconds.

But Xu Lang still felt that wasn’t enough.

When facing a powerful opponent, even a single second could change the course of a battle several times over.

There was no helping it. Not every ability could be as broken as the Nightmare Lord’s, completely ignoring rules and logic.

Anyone with eyes could see that the environment beyond the Safe Zone was gradually deteriorating, and Xu Lang was doing everything he could to increase his strength.

“It’s almost midnight.”

Xu Lang checked the time, summoned the Nightmare Bed, and stretched out to lie flat in the desolate Gluttony Purgatory.

…

Before midnight arrived, he slept soundly.

Recruiting other dormitory buildings and weathering the crisis together seemed to have become an inevitable outcome.

This time, he really didn’t want to tough it out by spending Nightmare Coins.

He had worked hard to save up so many Nightmare Coins. He didn’t want to waste them all.

The miserable part was that he didn’t have enough Nightmare Essence, either.

The Simulation had consumed too much. He’d learned the name of only one new neighbor before he had to stop midway and turn to fusing equipment and refining his own strength.

The new neighbor was incredibly strong. Even Xu Lang felt the pressure.

“I hope they don’t come looking for trouble.” Xu Lang woke and let out an almost imperceptible sigh.

It was already midnight. He had to go farm points with the women.

Before, he would start farming points early, even before midnight.

But the new neighbor was too much trouble. He honestly wasn’t in the mood.

“Haha, Xu Lang, so there are things you’re afraid of after all?” The Gluttony Demon had somehow crouched down beside the bed. Its scarlet body was like a small mountain.

Ever since devouring the Black Gluttony Demon, the Gluttony Demon’s strength had continued to grow. Black patterns swirled over its body, resembling one demonic face after another.

“I’m not afraid. I just don’t want the hassle.” Xu Lang shook his head.

As he’d said before, he didn’t want to use Nightmare Coins.

He’d been nurtured by the Nightmare Lord for so long, and still had to rely on Nightmare Coins whenever trouble arose. That was pretty embarrassing. But the Building was a real bastard, recruiting such a massive entity as a neighbor.

Was the danger outside really that great?

He couldn’t help wondering if the Building wanted to make a comeback and target him again.

“Relax, I’m here.” The Gluttony Demon thumped its chest. “In Gluttony Purgatory, I’m invincible!”

Xu Lang glanced sidelong at the Gluttony Demon and shook his head to himself.

The Gluttony Demon still had far too little experience.

Players had their dormitory buildings backing them, and beneath a dormitory building’s might, anyone outside its tier was a nobody.

The Gluttony Demon had only just learned its lesson at Starving Corpse Building, yet it had already forgotten. It was just like Senior Sister Red Butterfly.

“I appreciate the offer, but I have things to do, so I’ll be off.” Xu Lang raised a hand and summoned a Black Vortex Gate. “Make sure you whip the Tales in Gluttony Purgatory into shape. There may be a major battle later, and I’ll need you all to put on a good show.”

…

Ghost River.

On the river’s surface, whose width was impossible to estimate, blood flowed thick enough to float oars, and floating corpses covered everything within sight.

A ten-person squad stopped at the riverbank.

Every one of them was like a giant, at least seven meters tall, with muscles knotted across their bodies.

Watching the scene, Meng Qingting was truly frightened.

“Brother Qingting, what do we do?” A giant eight meters tall stood behind Meng Qingting, his rugged face drained of color. “The advance team must have been swallowed by the monsters in Ghost River!”

Meng Qingting was the captain of this Titan Building player squad.

Not long ago, the advance team stationed here had been wiped out, and they had been ordered to investigate.

The supernatural power around Ghost River was too dense. Certain occult detection methods were useless, so if the players wanted to find out what had happened, they had to come in person.

“Let’s go… Brother Qingting, report what we found back to the building!” Another female Titan Building player’s trembling voice rang out like the tolling of a morning bell and evening drum.

Meng Qingting took a deep breath.

“The Titans already know what’s happening here. They heard about it over the radio!”

“I just didn’t expect things to be this bad!”

“There’s nothing else we can do now. We have to leave!”

Another Tattooed Man said indignantly, “We went to all that trouble to cross the river, and now it’s all for nothing. Without new resources coming in, how are we supposed to advance to a Tier Five dormitory building?”

Everyone sighed.

Just then, the panels of all the Titan Building players changed, and several lines of notifications appeared.

【Titan Building Announcement—】

【In three days, Titan Building will fuse with Mad King Building to form a community!】

【All players, please return to the building as soon as possible to avoid mishaps during phase relocation!】

“Did you get the message?”

“What’s going on? We’re actually forming a community with another dormitory building?”

“Mad King Building… Isn’t that the dormitory building on the other side of Ghost River?”

“Hahahaha, a chance to survive against all odds! The other side of Ghost River is full of new dormitory buildings!”

“The Titans must have done something to make Titan Building change course. This is awesome!”

“Now we’ll be like a tiger entering a flock of sheep!”

“Mad King Building is one of the Guides. We can spare it for now and let it keep acting as our dog!”

…

At that very moment, inside Titan Building.

In a conference hall that looked like a starry galaxy, twelve enormous phantoms stood at different points, like colossal gods holding up the heavens.

“Mm-hm-hm-hm, the children are all excited!” A giant wreathed in flames laughed loudly. His voice seemed to descend from the heavens, making the air tremble.

“Titan Building has been around for over a hundred years. At last, there’s hope of advancing to a Tier Five dormitory building!” A giant with ram’s horns, a bull’s nose, and a lion’s mane gazed into the distance, as if seeing far into the past.

“I never would’ve thought that, at the final moment, Titan Building would send us across Ghost River of its own accord!” Another giant, pitch-black and resembling black meteoric iron, laughed. “This is fantastic. We’re the ones choosing to join the community this time!”

Another male giant, dressed in animal hide with his hair hanging loose, snarled, “The last building to form a community with us was Army of Ten Thousand Building. It’s now become one of our ancient divine artifacts. And now another dormitory building dares to form a community with us!”

“To make this relocation happen, Titan Building must have paid a hefty price.” A childlike giant barely ten meters tall, looking somewhat out of place, said, “Mad King Building should be about to grow rapidly.”

“There’s no other choice. We’ve drained all the resources here.”

“It’s fine. Once we get there, we should be able to take the resources back. Titan Building must have left us an opening, so we can reclaim them within the rules, or even plunder Mad King Building’s resources in return!”

“Everyone, I’ve already submitted a request to Titan’s Eye. Let’s see what Mad King Building is really made of.”

“I agree. No one should underestimate them.”

“Tch, who could possibly rival Titan Building in these Titan Ruins? Even if Paradise Building and Holy Blood Monastery came, we’d stomp them into dust!”

In the end, half of them agreed, and Titan’s Eye activated.

When Titan’s Eye’s vision pierced through layer upon layer of Blood Mist and saw the towering crimson dormitory building, everyone froze for a moment. Then a burst of laughter erupted from the room.

Though Mad King Building looked imposing, its Level was clearly low. Its Safe Zone had barely expanded, and it probably hadn’t even seized two strongholds.

“Hahaha, this is killing me. This is the dormitory building that made a deal with Titan Building?”

“It really doesn’t know what’s good for it!”

“Has it never heard of Titan Building’s reputation? Our secrecy really has been excellent!”

“Why doesn’t that building have a motto?”

“Could those overblown compliments actually be its motto?”

“What an arrogant building!”

“It has three days at most to keep acting arrogant!”

“Hahahahaha!”

The twelve Titans hadn’t been this happy in a long time.

Sure enough, when you stand in the right place at the right time, even a pig can fly. During these most crucial years, it wasn’t only them giving everything they had. Titan Building was making moves, too!
