Fierce Horror Dorm: Take a Concubine to Get Stronger

Chapter 767: Shocking the Coliseum, the Mutated Mad King Building Players

  • Next Chapter

"Why have the Mad King Building players become so strong?"

The clerk from the Vast Sky Building sitting in the stands of the Iron Blood Coliseum found his pen hovering, unable to write.

Top-tier equipment, top-tier skills, and maxed-out stats, with base attributes doubling at the drop of a hat.

The players from the other dormitory buildings had all been beaten senseless.

Currently, among those fighting the Mad King Building players, only the Taleblade Building players had a slightly better win rate, because Taleblade Building players were always like that: high win rate, low participation frequency.

As for the players from the other buildings... even the Vast Sky Building players couldn't gain any advantage against the Mad King Building players.

In the past, the Mad King Building had won purely by relying on abundant resources. But now, even in pure fair duels, they feared no dormitory building's players.

Bang!

In the arena, a Mad King Building player, wreathed in a frenzied aura, curled up and rammed forward, sending a Finality Building player flying over ten meters, bones shattering throughout his body.

The Mad King Building player's chest was slashed open, his battle armor damaged, yet he didn't seem to notice at all, as if he felt no pain whatsoever, striding over to stand before the Finality Building player.

Raise leg, stomp!

Before the Finality Building player's head could be crushed, he was teleported back to the rest room.

"I should've known better than to play Betting Mode!"

"The returns are too low!"

"Only deathmatches can squeeze out every bit of value from your opponent!"

The Mad King Building player's mouth twitched, his facial features beyond his control, as if his body had developed a consciousness of its own.

In this battle, he had used Mad Skills multiple times, forcibly entering the Madness Domain.

When he passed through the SAN value range of 10 to 0, he discovered he had contracted Mental Corruption.

On the way back up, it could happen again, increasing the level of Mental Corruption.

Once inside the Madness Domain, with Mad Capacity as a fallback, they were fine instead. The most terrifying part was the 10-to-0 transition range.

"Since the SAN value dropped anyway, might as well fight a few more rounds!"

With this thought, the Mad King Building player spread his arms wide, his bloodshot red pupils sweeping the entire arena, and shouted: "I'm taking deathmatches, no restriction on player combat power, who's in?"

No one answered.

This player actually possessed a touch of Xu Lang's former courage.

He wasn't enough to intimidate everyone. But without understanding what had happened to the Mad King Building, those high-level players wouldn't step in so easily.

Something drastic must have happened to the Mad King Building. Right now, its players' combat power was in a volatile phase, unreliable.

Seeing no one take the deathmatch, this player switched to an arranged duel, with a full Level 25 rare set as the stake.

His opponent put up a corresponding stake, submitted it to the Iron Blood Coliseum for appraisal, and once the values were deemed close enough, they could fight.

In under ten seconds, someone stepped up.

This player's identity left the stands dumbfounded!

It was also a Mad King Building player!

"Holy crap, they're actually from the same building!"

"Insane, insane! One dares to challenge, the other dares to accept!"

"Isn't the Mad King Building supposed to be resource-rich? How did they end up squeezing each other this badly?"

"They must be madblood-addled, or these two have old grudges!"

"Hey, isn't this Mad King Building player the same one from the past two matches? Why is he back in the arena again?"

"His eyes are still red, the crazy hasn't worn off yet!"

The players from Vast Sky Building, Finality Building, Taleblade Building, and Sacrifice Building were all paralyzed. Why were they fighting their own!

Since the Iron Blood Coliseum had been optimized, this sort of thing hadn't happened in a long time.

Because betting duels had commissions taken, and fights between players from the same dormitory building were easily flagged as combat power farming, making it decidedly unprofitable.

While other players were still reeling, the two Mad King Building players had already started fighting, every move lethal, every strike vicious.

Judging by that intensity alone, the likelihood of it being flagged as power farming was already very low.

"Too brutal. A broken arm and he acts like it's nothing!" In the Vast Sky Building stands, Kunlun watched the two Mad King Building players fight, drawing in sharp breaths.

These Mad King Building players who dared come fight while the situation at Mad King Building was still unstable were all madmen who had loved manipulating their own SAN values. With the current environment so favorable, no bone extraction or skin peeling needed to drop SAN values, and they could even win spoils, so naturally each was crazier than the next.

A broken arm barely counted as a light wound.

"Brother Tianhe, you're here!"

"Captain Tianhe!"

Just then, the Vast Sky Building players let out a wave of surprised cheers.

Kunlun turned and saw a man of magnificent bearing, and immediately stood up himself, his face full of delight: "Captain Tianhe!"

"I heard the Mad King Building advanced?" Chu Tianhe had a lightsaber hanging at his waist, wore a wasteland-style leather outfit, and possessed both the bearing of an ancient sword god and the coldness of a wasteland lone wolf.

"Yeah, that's the deduction." Kunlun replied.

After losing to Xu Lang last time, he had frequented the coliseum often, so he was one of the more knowledgeable Vast Sky Building players regarding the coliseum.

"This wasn't enough to make it so strong right after advancement to just a first-tier dormitory building, was it?" Chu Tianhe looked at the combat power leaderboard hanging in the coliseum, on which many Mad King Building players had appeared.

Xu Lang's first-place spot had been knocked down by him.

Currently, the top three on the combat leaderboard were: first and second place, Vast Sky Building players; third place, a Taleblade Building player.

"The Mad King Building once produced an S-rank Sequence. It's no ordinary place, and it seems this benefit has now spread to even those ordinary players." Yiyun stood beside Chu Tianhe, her delicate brows slightly furrowed, a gravity settling on her fair, oval face.

After Xu Lang's winning streak last time, Yiyun's plan to launch an expedition against the Mad King Building had been shelved.

Based on the strength assessment at the time, without sending ten captains or even the Floor Leader, there would be absolutely no way to attack the Mad King Building.

And now...

Going with just captains alone probably wasn't going to cut it anymore!

"Sigh, if the Blood Calamity hadn't broken out at the Titan Ruins, Yiyun would have already gone to the Mad King Building and set up a teleport point." Kunlun looked at Yiyun and sighed.

Back when Yiyun wanted to go to the Mad King Building, most everyone had opposed it.

In hindsight, if everyone had wholeheartedly supported Yiyun back then, the Mad King Building probably would have been taken down by now.

Such a top-grade dormitory building, its resources and benefits were simply too many to count.

The Vast Sky Building was poised at the edge of advancement to a Tier 4 dormitory building, precisely the time when rescources were in direly short supply.

Not going to the Mad King Building earlier, they didn't feel feard, only regret. Such were the underpinnings of players.

"This is on me. I didn't fully support Yiyun back then." Sighing, Kunlun began blaming himself again.

He and Yiyun had been the first to take notice of the Mad King Building back then.

"Things being as they are, there's no point in saying more." Chu Tianhe patted Kunlun's shoulder, then suddenly asked: "I heard Wang Kun has already left?"

Kunlun's expression stiffened. He replied: "Yes, not long ago, he obtained a Mad King Building invitation from a black market merchant named Kirby, then spent two days gathering supplies, and directly migrated over."

"Though everyone has their own path, that was still too unwise of him!" Chu Tianhe's expression darkened.

The Vast Sky Building was about to advance, and for Wang Kun to leave at this time meant missing out on so much.

Could the Mad King Building really be that enticing?

"That guy is just a gambler, and with only two people in his dorm, no ties, leaving was naturally easy." A Vast Sky Building player sneered.

"A traitor. He actually went to the Mad King Building!" Someone cursed.

Chu Tianhe waved his hand, silencing the discussions.

In the arena, the Mad King Building player had issued another challenge, and Chu Tianhe's figure vanished.

Instantly, everyone understood what had happened and turned their gazes as one toward the direction of the Vast Sky Building rest room.

Chu Tianhe was about to enter the arena.

And his opponent was that same Mad King Building player still in the arena!
