Mother Li said, "I’ll go call her."

Just as Mother Li was about to get up, she saw Li Mingxi coming down from upstairs.

"Finally awake. Come sit, Xiao Lang’s already been here for quite a while."

Xiao Lang turned his head to look at her, and their gazes met.

Li Mingxi silently asked, What are you doing here?!

Xiao Lang gave a faint smile, I’m here to pay a visit to your parents and the family.

Of course Li Mingxi couldn’t read what Xiao Lang meant; full of doubts, she walked down.

Then she heard Grandma Li say, "Mingxi, Xiao Lang came especially to visit us. He’s your friend; why didn’t you bring him home earlier to sit for a bit?"

If she’d brought him over earlier, there wouldn’t have been anything to do with Li Qian.

Li Mingxi smiled lightly. "Grandma, I have so many friends, am I supposed to bring them all home?"

The implication being, Xiao Lang was on the same level as her other friends.

Grandma Li laughed. "Xiao Lang’s not the same as them. He’s not only your friend, he’s also Tianling and Yufei’s friend. Besides, such a fine young man, you should’ve brought him over sooner for Grandma to take a look."

Li Mingxi listened with her heart pounding.

She shot Xiao Lang a glance. Had he said something to her family?

"Grandma, this is my fault, I should’ve come to visit you earlier." Xiao Lang said with a smile.

"Don’t go pleading for this girl, I’m sure it’s her who didn’t want to invite you over."

And Grandma Li happened to be very fond of him; whatever he said, she beamed from ear to ear.

Mother Li supported Grandma Li, and Li Mingxi was directly forgotten by them.

The dishes on the table were lavish.

"Mingxi, your dad’s going to have a couple of drinks with Xiao Lang. Hurry up and fill their glasses." Mother Li suddenly instructed her, setting a bottle of red wine in front of her.

Li Mingxi smiled faintly. "Dad, drinking in the morning isn’t good for your health, better not drink."

Mother Li glared at her. "Xiao Lang’s here today, your dad’s in a rare good mood. Don’t go saying things to kill the vibe, okay?"

"Auntie, Mingxi’s right, drinking at this time isn’t good for the body. But I’m also very happy to have a couple of drinks with Uncle, so I suggest we just drink a little."

As Xiao Lang spoke, he picked up the bottle and personally poured for Father Li.
